What do you like best about Totango?

What I like most about Totango is that information is kept in one place and it's easy to update & tailor it to every client that I manage. Very useful platform and easy to use! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Totango?

If I add new information, sometimes I need to refresh the page to see the changes, which is a bit frustrating in some situations. Health scores are also something that's not always showing relevant info. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Totango?

What do you like best about Totango?

Totango provides me with a visual motivator to take appropriate actions to improve the experience for my clients. I love the health score calculation and the ability to access this information from a dependable mobile app as well as the desktop. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Totango?

The biggest downside is that we aren't able to create email drip campaigns in Totango. We have mentioned this to them before and they listen to their customers - they are actively working to add this feature that would eliminate our need to create email drip campaigns in Hubspot. One other small thing that bugs me is that my notifications don't load completely without a browser refresh. I mark the ones I can see as "read" and expect it to load additional notifications if it shows that I have more remaining, but it only does this if I refresh my browser. Recommendations to others considering Totango:

Go all in as quickly as possible. The sooner you can begin implementing SuccessPlays and automating tasks, the more value you will find in this tool. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Totango solving and how is that benefiting you?

We are a service-based company where we match entrepreneurs with freelancers and previously, our corporate team was only connecting with clients who had issues with their freelancer or reached out on their own. We struggled to stay on top of proactive communication with our clients. With Totango, we have increased our client touchpoints to happen at least monthly and the results have been phenomenal. Our revenue has increased due to our client retention rate improving and our clients are utilizing more of our services than they were before we used Totango. We are also collecting more feedback for ways to improve. Additionally, Totango has given us the ability to run reports and review trends. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Totango?

The most stand-out aspect of Totango is their support team. Super fast, thoughtful, comprehensive. Simply outstanding. Their self-serve resources are also better than most, really easy to find and digest. In terms of the UI, it feels modern and intentional. They manage to put a ton of info in a small amount of space without making it feel cluttered. I also like how I'm able to customize the view based on how I work Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Totango?

I really don't love how touchpoints (e.g., calls, meetings) are so hard to see within the Timeline. I can't see immediately beyond the most recent conversation (I have to click in).

I dislike how Timeline includes "Completed Tasks" which I can foresee being full of nonsense auto-triggered events.

I miss having an "Account Summary" free text space for each customer, but I use the "Plan" section for that. However, this field is not visible from the Mobile App. Given how heavily I find myself using that free-text space as an account summary, this is a challenge. Recommendations to others considering Totango:

Take advantage of their Office Hours. Hearing other users working on setting their instance up to meet their needs is useful as you're getting started. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Totango solving and how is that benefiting you?

The homepage is designed to be a list of tasks automatically surfaced to CSMs based on "success plays", and those plays are triggered by external events (e.g., dip in utilization) which require integrations with other systems. This makes it useful for companies who plan to scale up / already track utilization. So as a CSM, you're not intended to live on the individual Customer Account page, but the homepage isn't going to be useful until everything is fully configured. If you're a small shop with limited technical resources or a long way from having utilization analytics, it may not be a good solution for you in the near-term Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Totango?

Totango isn't the most powerful client success platform out there from my research, but they are growing their software all the time, and their team is very responsive. What I like best is that they are actively improving, taking client feedback into account, and that their pricing is affordable for small businesses. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Totango?

The software sometimes runs slow and takes a while to load. Our team also really wishes it had email templates - but again, their team is responsive and has asked our feedback about templates. They've let us know they're currently working on them and hoping to roll them out soon. Also - when a task is assigned to someone, they don't get a notification, which can lead to tasks being missed. We have more insight into our clients' overall health with our company. Our Client Success Coordinators know exactly what to do each day with their tasks in Totango.
