What do you like best about Totango?

Totango is intuitive and self service. We have been able to quickly turn up areas that are most critical and can add more as we are ready. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Totango?

Limited integrations with some older systems but there are workarounds that still allow us to get data in, just not as simply Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Totango solving and how is that benefiting you?

Totango is allowing our CS organization to work smarter and more efficiently. Even though we just went live we already have more visibility in to our customers than we did. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

client management, making sure that our customers are maximizing the utilization of our product. With Totango, at one glance I can see whether they are encountering problems (tickets raised by client), have achieved a milestone or our having trouble with adapting. Regarding your customization of settings "The “Key Info”, which is the first tab, can be customized to include only the fields that are most valuable (i.e. remove the fields that you don’t need to be the most accessible). You’ll always be able to see ALL of your account attributes that have a value in the ALL tab (3rd tab). Additionally in the ALL tab, you can organize your attributes by logical Dimensions, which is a way to categorize your attributes (i.e. Contract | Support | Advocacy | Onboarding | Performance Metrics | etc). What do you like best about Totango?

I like how robust the system is in terms of account/user metrics to help me make actionable decisions for my portfolio. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I dislike the inability to create sections for the to-do list as it is only organized by due date and priority. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

We agree that note taking is so important for information sharing and ensure your are staying close to your customer wins and challenges - help them celebrate and support when needed. As far as organizing the to-do list, did you know you can also group by SuccessPlay and Account? You can change the options to view by tasks or SuccessPlays. You can also choose to group by due date, accounts, health, and priority. We would love to know which group by option you are missing so we can take that feedback to our Product Team.

What do you like best about Totango?

There are several things that I like about Totango: 1 - Ability to use best-practice out-of-the-box customer journeys, but also have the ability to customize as desired. 2 - Ability to use a complex customer hierarchy and track health at every level. 3 - In Totango we are able to automate any customer life cycle journey based upon their role in the implementation. 4 - The flexibility of the system allows for easy customization of data sets and custom attributes. 5 - The ability to view and create unique report views is very easy to do. 6 - We found it very easy to import data from disparate data system to create a single view of all client data, create contacts, and create accounts. Their import utilities are very comprehensive. 7 - The multi-dimensional health metric allows us to set-up health at every level within the customer and to create unique metrics for each level. What do you dislike about Totango?

Overall, Totango has been a great tool for us to rapidly build out our customer success processes. There was a learning curve we had to go through to understand the data structure and to get the filtering and targeting set up on the customer journey, but once we figured it out, we got passed the initial hurdles and we are able to easily set-up our own workflows. Totango customer support and training has been invaluable and they have helped us every step of the way. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering Totango:

The recommendation I have is to work with the Totango team to help you make your initial design decisions and remember that you can always build upon your implementation. Don't try to do it all at once, but prioritize and take baby steps. This will help you realize some quick wins and give you a good foundation to build upon. My next recommendation is to map out your workflows, hierarchy, and requirements to the best of your ability ahead of setting it up in Totango. Then you will have a nice set of requirements to work from and you won't forget important steps in your process. The beauty of Totango is that it has the capacity to do more, so as you are building out your process, you'll have options to improve the process right out of the gate. We are using Totango to help us manage the customer life cycle including onboarding, adoption, nurturing, and renewals. We are also using it to manage customer health using our unique client health rubric. We have created several customer journey workflows and added custom data attributes based on our process. What do you like best about Totango?

Within the first day of activation, we saw a notable improvement and response from the interactions with our clients. The team found the user interface easy to work in, while leadership has the insights to track and report what's needed to be successful. Other departments are already asking if they can access this powerful content.

During our implementation process, we found Claire and Ella delightful and knowledgeable to work with.

What problems is Totango solving and how is that benefiting you?

Varicent is always looking for the best way to make our customers happy and meet their needs in Sales Performance Management, Sales Compensation, Sales Analytics, and Territory and Planning. As a recognized leader of this space (https://www.g2.com/categories/sales-compensation) we need a partner to support our fast pace and large growth volume. Totango was the only offering that could meet these demands after looking at all the options. It also didn't hurt that they were so good to work with each day.
