Overall, I think Tines is a great platform for security teams to automate workflows. This freed up our teams' time to focus on more strategic work. It is easy to use, flexible, scalable, and has a strong community. I highly recommend Tines. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There are glitches sometimes while loading/running the story. Once refreshed, it works fine. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Great no-code SOAR solution, super easy to use UI, and able to integrate with any service we use. Getting started couldn't be simpler and within a couple of weeks you will already see improvements. Customer support is top notch, always helpful and available, and whenever I've had an issue, they've been able to help me out. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Some services better suited with vendor's own solutions, i.e. power automate for microsoft services, but tines still has great integrations for microsoft, just a little bit more fiddly. Apart from that, I have found myself wanting to automate everything else possible with tines. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Tines offers an incredibly easy-to-use interface without losing significant power by abstracting away the need for code. Other solutions can take months to start understanding and getting value out of; I was able to start getting value out of Tines within the first hour of ever using it. The product is constantly being improved with tons of meaningful changes being added each month Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Since the automations are not typical code, there's currently no good native way to run CI/CD on each action in a story. There is a feature in the UI to manually unit test, but this is not available programatically. This can make it harder to prevent regressions in large / complex stories Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The Tines platform provide an easy to use interface to drag, drop, and connect actions to create simple work flows. Tines incorporates templated actions for many security related tools APIs. Formulas and functions provide additional implementation techniques to create comprehensive workflows. Tines support is always quick to respond and provide some sort of assistance or pass the issue over to the Tines engineer Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Although Tines is not a start up, they are still lacking in complexity in the platform to build out specific actions. This is changing all the time due to the speed of the Tines Engineering and Development teams. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Tines has helped our team that does not have a strong handle on programming, to start thinking programmatically and helping us put and end to all of the papercuts! Besides the tool being incredible, our CSM, Support staff, SE and everyone we have worked with over tehre are insanely attentive, and willing to jump in and help you over the finish line when you hit a snag. Tines is by far the gold standard for supporting their customers! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
No gripes other than I wish we had budget for all of the bells and whistles! (I don't feel it is overpriced for how useful the tool is though, just fyi.) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Tines has a very easy UI to navigate from a first time user. Having recently worked with new joiners who haven't used a SOAR platform before, they were all able to quickly grasp Tines concepts with relative ease and were able to build and maintain existing workflows we had developed. Change management in Tines is very tough. Ideally, having a "git" like concept in Tines would be amazing because in a large IR team, many people are making many changes and it becomes very difficult to keep track of changes that were made.
Reviewing changes in Tines isn't easy either because there is only one view which is quite small and only shows changes in a JSON format which isn't easy to read and get an understanding of when reviewing changes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
One of the most helpful features of Tines is its ability to reliably process large volumes of data. With Tines, we can easily call out to Elastic Security Alerts and handle hundreds, or even thousands, of alerts daily. It allows us to deduplicate, gather context through APIs like VirusTotal, and significantly reduces the time spent manually creating cases and querying threat intel platforms.
As a developer, the thing that I like best about Tines is the ability to debug if there is a problem or failure, with the 'Logs' and 'Events' sections. I'm able to quickly discern what the issue is and where it lies. As well as the layer of abstractions from coding- making it accessible to all members of the team allowing us to collaborate together. Making note of the 'Automatic Transform Mode' action that allows you to provide an input and prompt, cutting down my developing time.
Finally, the lovely people who work at Tines are constantly listening, giving suggestions and improvements to our story development and making sure we feel that our opinions are heard and listened to. Shout out to Eoin, Paula and Paul! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Tines does have some areas that they could improve on, such as SLAs (which is now currently in motion), user interface refinements, and the need for built-in messaging capabilities from a case for platforms like Teams or Slack instead of us having to build it manually in a story. However, Tines is very open to feature requests, and we’ve seen firsthand how those suggestions have turned into actual product updates- with a quick turnaround. For example, immutable records are now available, and there have been substantial improvements in the UI for cases, including custom case statuses and case fields. TLDR: Tines is a must-have tool if you want to save time and focus in what really matters.
Tines is a powerful tool that allows our team to focus on more strategic activities. It excels in automating workflows, which not only saves time but greatly improves the quality of our work and enable us to add more intelligence and knowledge to the alerts we receive. Consequently, we can resolve issues quicker and effectively.
Tines has been particularly beneficial in creating and managing detection rules. Our team can concentrate on the bigger picture, developing more sophisticated detection strategies and improving overall security posture. The interface is clean and user friendly, no coding knowledge required. Its like lego building blocks but for security geeks. It is simple in its core but with flexibility in handling complex workflows that ensures that we can adapt it to our specific needs. The large library of templates and uses cases its a perfect starter and to get creative juices flowing of what to automate next.
We do get stuck sometimes and here is the other part that shines: excellent customer support. They are constantly helping us maximize the tool’s potential. Tines is an exceptional automation tool that has transformed the way me and the team approach our work. Its ease of use, integration capabilities, and great customer support makes it a must-have for any team looking to enhance their efficiency. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Nothing so far. Of course, like every other software tool, it might have things I can conside odd but then Tines' super support team jumps to resolve my doubts and explain the approach needed for Tines to do what I want it to do. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Ease of use--literally tie automation together on-screen.
So many libraries of ready-made automations.
Top notch team behind the scenes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I have used Tines enough that I don't really get blocked on anything so I'm not sure what to write here. Any time I have a problem the team reaches out and finds me a solution. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
We love how easy it is to perform API integration with Tines. The initial setup for an integration included with Tines is a breeze and the templates accelerate the process of development such that an automation that took a days now takes minutes.
Tines design also means that data manipulation, execution flow, and documentation can be built or modified with very little overtime. It saves us from getting bogged down with the maintenance of one-off scripts and management of what would otherwise be a labyrinth of cloud based interdependencies.
The provided data functions are simple and to the point, but can be used in conjuction with one another to perform very complicated operations. The records feature makes it very easy to maintain and track the state of execution when many different integrations are being used, eliminating the need for a supporting database.
We use our automations daily, and the customer support is outstanding.
Highly recommend! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Documentation for the advanced functions of Tines is often lacking, and if one of our users is unfamiliar with them it can be difficult to realize their full potential Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
