"Amazing customer support and their product is getting better and better."
The customer support is unparallel. I have had a lot of questions that were answered or addressed between 10 minutes and 24 hours. Very impressive.

What do you like best about Timecounts?

TimeCounts is very user friendly. I love the idea of volunteers using a portal to apply for volunteer opportunities and to view their hours. Through this software I am able to create a volunteer profile for each volunteer which records their hours, messages, information and any other information. It also super easy to use and to customize the information recorded. This has made my life much easier! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Timecounts?

TimeCounts does not currently have a way to upload , which makes storage of resumes, interview notes and sending volunteer's documents. However, they are in the process of updating to include this feature. Also, there is no feature for volunteers to record their own hours. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Timecounts solving and how is that benefiting you?

Having TimeCounts allows me to keep most of my volunteer files in one place, rather than on multiple systems. It has improved my efficiency. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Timecounts?

It is really user friendly and easy to navigate (and I'm not a tech savvy person). I often have to pull metrics such as Community Growth or find out who has been active within certain dates, and those things are always easy to find. Probably the best thing about Timecounts is that whenever I can't figure something out, I use the chat feature. I don't think I've ever waited longer than 5 minutes to get a reply (which is impressive because being on the West Coast, I am sometimes working outside of EST business hours). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Timecounts?

There are sometimes delays in the site, which can be frustrating, but the good news is that they always communicate the issue and let you know that they're working on it. It would be nice to have an option to upload a resume as well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Timecounts solving and how is that benefiting you?

We use Timecounts as our front and back end for volunteer engagement. It's where the volunteers sign up and also where we store all of our information, such as their hours and even how well they've done, how loyal they are, etc. One huge benefit is that we are able to report our volunteer metrics to donors and in grants- Timecounts makes that a lot easier to do because it's easy to pull a number such as Volunteer Community Growth in 2018. It's these kinds of statistics that have actually proven to HR at my company that a Volunteer Engagement Coordinator is a valuable asset and worth the salary. Response from Amanda Rose of Timecounts

Thanks for the review Mallory! Good news - document storage and file uploads (to attach and save resumes) will be released very soon.

What do you like best about Timecounts?

I love this volunteer management system because it allows me to see who is joining us for shifts so easily. I also really appreciate how easy it is to communicate directly with our volunteers, and create once-off and ongoing volunteer opportunities. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Timecounts?

This is likely because we have the free version, but we are unable to copy shifts to repeat throughout the entire month. This just makes it a longer process to set up new shift calendars. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering Timecounts:

I would love a way to easy copy shifts that we have repeating each month. I also manage a few ongoing volunteer opportunities that last longer than 3 months, so it would be great to be able to extend beyond 3 months for each ongoing volunteer calendar. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Timecounts solving and how is that benefiting you?

We have always used a shift management system for our ongoing volunteer opportunities, but Timecounts looks significantly better than its competitors and it has both outward facing and internal systems that help manage and recruit volunteers through the same system. What do you like best about Timecounts?

I love the aesthetic and that it's very easy for new users to understand and sign up to things. I also like the hourly log feature and that I can view each volunteers' individual hours over time Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Timecounts?

That I cannot repeat shifts or make the same shift continue weekly for the same people - like to assign a whole month of shifts I have to add every one manually which can be a little long/ Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering Timecounts:

Really easy way of tracking and logging hours! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Timecounts solving and how is that benefiting you?

We are using it to create roles and shift for new volunteers. I wanted a database that wasn't excel based, and could easily store volunteer information as well as assign shifts, and allow new people to sign up independently. This has been extremely helpful for both, as it allows others to view the available shifts and allow me to designate shifts to people. It's also helpful to have a secure database of details and personal information.

I also wanted to be able to track volunteer hours over time, to reach milestones and reward volunteers for their efforts. This has massively simplified the process (previously I was totalling up on excel which was arduous). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Amanda Rose of Timecounts

Thanks for the review! We have the ability to create repeating shifts on the Premium plan, it will allow you to assign someone to a recurring shift easily. Reach out to us on customer service and we'll give you a demo of how that works.

What do you like best about Timecounts?

I love that the database is an unlimited number of entries, without a cap on the number of volunteers you can enter to manage. It's fairly intuitive software, easy to use for the most part, and I love that there are several search options. It was super fast to setup, and the option to import CVS files was extremely helpful. It looks like it will be fairly easy to link to our website. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Timecounts?

I don't like the layout of the schedules, it's hard to see multiple things without having to scroll through the entire list of schedules; it might be easier as a list rather than as blocks, for me.

I also wish this site had an app for phones; it's really difficult to see the information through the browser on a phone.

I also wish there were a few more levels of administrators for the free plan. I need a couple lower level administrators, but only am allowed one other top level administrator currently. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering Timecounts:

Free version is great for small nonprofits not requiring a lot of administrators. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Timecounts solving and how is that benefiting you?

I solved our need for software to organize our volunteers, and gained the ability to search volunteer entries for skills and experience, which really helped step up our game. It's saved tons of time, and puts the volunteer in charge of what information gets added and how it gets updated, which reduced the stress and time of staff members. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Amanda Rose of Timecounts

Thanks for the great feedback Rosalind. We have some updates coming soon that should address your comments like the ability to customize the view your volunteers experience in the hub.

What do you dislike about Timecounts?

There are still some bugs and not fully rolled out capabilities that will truly make this platform great. Optimization and customizable analysis would be very helpful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering Timecounts:

Ask lots of questions and go through the help page FAQ section. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Timecounts solving and how is that benefiting you?

We are able to streamline and automate our volunteers. We are seeing the benefits of freeing up time of our team to focus on the programming and content of our nonprofit. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Timecounts?

I really appreciate how helpful the support team is at Timecounts. They are very engaged and ready to help which is pretty rare for platforms like this. I also like the dashboard which is easy to use and review. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Timecounts?

Sometimes I think that its a little hard to sort through volunteer applications and find my way around. I get the function of the approval process but a lot of the time it slows me down and creates more confusion. I also wish that the messaging was better linked to email because now that every platform has their own messaging system, its unrealistic to check them all so often messages go unread. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Timecounts solving and how is that benefiting you?

It is great to have a platform that consolidates all volunteer applications. Its a pretty easy system to use when it comes to creating an event or job posting so that makes life easier. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Amanda Rose of Timecounts

What do you like best about Timecounts?

Timecounts has a professional and modern feel that allows our organization to present a polished volunteer management system to members. Volunteers pick up on the system quickly and we appreciate being able to schedule multiple needs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Timecounts?

Timecounts is currently only useful for scheduled volunteering. About 50% of our volunteers are not scheduled by us though, and the system is hard to accommodate them so we still need a paper back up. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Timecounts solving and how is that benefiting you?

Timecounts allows our coordinator to track volunteer data in the same place that scheduling needs happens.. It allows for less log ins and less windows open! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Timecounts?

The ability to customize and automate volunteer recruitment, scheduling, and communication. I used this for a small event and for a large event and it worked great! Customer service was also fantastic - each time I had a question, their representatives were available to chat. Often I was speaking to the owner directly and she was super upfront that the product was still in development and the limitations we stumbled across were in the process of being addressed in product improvements. She and her associates were extremely helpful as we set up our event and made the solution work for us. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Timecounts?

The inability to print the volunteer schedule was a limitation that was difficult for us. We had between 50 and 75 nonprofit volunteers working at a time in more than one location at a music festival and the ability to print would have been helpful so we could see all of our schedules at a glance. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering Timecounts:

Before setting up your events and forms, take the time to read through the support documents to familiarize yourself with the product vocabulary. It's important to know what things mean so that you set up your events in the best possible way. Because Timecounts has super customer service, consider chatting with them and describing what solution you want to use Timecounts for. I did this and they were remarkably helpful in assisting me in getting it right and really enjoying the product. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Timecounts solving and how is that benefiting you?

When I was the development director for a youth nonprofit organization, I used Timecounts to recruit nonprofit volunteers for special events. My team and I were able to create our own form and gather the information we needed in a customized way - names, addresses, birthdates, t-shirt sizes, individual skill sets, scheduling preferences - all of it. We created various roles for our volunteers based on the tasks we needed completed and were able to schedule volunteers where we wanted them, move them around to make adjustments, and then send out schedule updates and other correspondence via email directly to the volunteers without hassle. Because of Timecounts, volunteers could sign up whenever/wherever was convenient for them, they could see what volunteer shifts and tasks still needed to be filled - and we could efficiently process their volunteer applications and schedules and communicate with them much faster than we could when we did all of our volunteer schedules manually or via Excel or some other method. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Timecounts?

I like the freedom volunteers have to sign up for the events that suit their schedules. It makes recruiting from the admin end much simpler. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Timecounts?

As a summer camp we work with so many different software and systems already. It would be nice if it could link to our other admin software accounts like CampBrain. Our volunteers don't always want to log into another account as well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering Timecounts:

Its a great product. Remember that you will need buy in from your volunteers. They will have to visit the site to use it. It seems obvious but if your volunteers don't use it, you won't either. I love how easy it is to use and how simple it was to set up. It creates a great looking website for your volunteers too! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Timecounts solving and how is that benefiting you?

We run volunteer staffed programs for many months of the year and time counts has helped us gather all of our volunteers into one place. we now have a place to store contact info and a hub for volunteers to connect with what is happening at Pioneer Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Amanda Rose of Timecounts

Thanks for taking the time to review Timecounts! Stay tuned for more integrations in future.
