What do you like best about ThoughtFarmer?

There are so many amazing aspects to ThoughtFarmer's interactive intranet platform. I brought an interative intranet to my company for the first time they had ever experienced one. Therefore, it was crucial to have an intuitive, insightful, and easy-to-use tool for our staff. I have used other platforms before, but ThoughtFarmer's is not ony the easiest one to use, but also the most professional and functional. After less than a year, internal communication has been transformed and is thriving now at RICK Engineering, with the RICK Hub (our ThoughtFarmer intranet) as a center hub for everything and employees more engaged than ever across all of our offices. ThoughtFarmer's staff made our build and enhancements since then incredibly smooth and pleasant. They're always helpful, prompt, and forward-thinking, and absolute pleasure to work with. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ThoughtFarmer?

I honestly do not have any true dislikes or complaints. The current platform/precess for pulling stistics has shortcomings and is not very easy to use. However, ThoughtFarmer has demonstrated a new stats platform they are working on now and will be launching soon, so we're really looking forward to that. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is ThoughtFarmer solving and how is that benefiting you?

Communication and collaboration across multiple offices and separate departments, news/information/resources in once central location, tool that is easy to access and use, intranet access via phones and other devices (app), teambuilding/socialization and sharing opportunites.

We have multiple offices across the country and multiple disciplines within each office, so there is a tendency for siloed situations and difficulty communicating and acollaborating across these areas and regions, Our intranet breaks down those barriers and gives staff incredible communication opportunities. Our resources were previously hard to find, but now everyone knows to go to the Hub, where we have everything very easy to find and searchable. We also have field staff that is not in the office, but they can access the Hub anytime on thier mobile phones and tablets with the app. We previously only had a PDF newsletter bimonthly, but now we have multiple very active news feeds across our intranet with a lot of active participation. With very few staff at our company familiar with intaranets, the ease of use of ThoughtFarmer made adaptation and new use very successful. We're also engaging our staff and providing social opportunities of benefit to our culture with our internet. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Marc McPherson of ThoughtFarmer

Thank you for sharing your experience with us Jennifer. We love seeing the things you do with your intranet and we're pleased to hear that our platform has transformed your internal communication and is thriving at RICK Engineering. We understand the importance of easy access to analytics and we're super excited to share the new platform with you very soon.

Our previous intranet was hosted on Weebly Squarespace. It had lots of security and accessibility issues and was also a public site. We needed a better system for communicating with staff. What do you like best about ThoughtFarmer?

There were many things I liked about ThoughtFarmer, but one thing I liked best was having a team of individuals working directly with our organization to ensure our Intranet was a success. We could rely on them to answer any and all of our questions, and they made sure we were always headed in the correct direction. It was critical to have a team who knew our goals, and made sure we achieved each one. They made the implementation process smooth and ensured our end users would easily understand our new Intranet. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ThoughtFarmer?

There were few things I disliked about ThoughtFarmer. Of course, we had a few hiccups throughout the entirety of the process, but they were always there to answer any of our questions. I was responsible for designing our Intranet and ran into a couple of issues, but they were always prompt to get me answer to my questions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is ThoughtFarmer solving and how is that benefiting you?

ThoughtFarmer is helping us create a line of communication between each of our locations. Previously, it was hard to connect with each location. Our new Intranet has allowed us to connect with everyone, both bank and insurance. Whether that be through our news feed, shout-out's, photo galleries, or a silly poll question. I enjoy being able to interact with our employees across our company. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Marc McPherson of ThoughtFarmer

Thank you for sharing your positive experience with ThoughtFarmer! We're thrilled to hear that our team's support and guidance have been instrumental in the success of your Intranet implementation.

It's fantastic to hear how ThoughtFarmer has improved communication across your organization's locations, fostering better connections and interactions among employees. We're delighted to play a role in enhancing your internal communication and collaboration.

If you ever have more questions or need further assistance, please don't hesitate to reach out. We're here to support you every step of the way. Thank you for choosing ThoughtFarmer!

What do you like best about ThoughtFarmer?

As a rapidly expanding small business at the time of purchase, we recognized the need for a centralized hub where all our staff could access vital information,

news, and resources pertinent to their roles. That's where ThoughtFarmer came in. It was straightforward to implement and user-friendly, making it

an ideal choice for us. It's not overly complex, yet it effortlessly meets all our needs.

But what truly sets ThoughtFarmer apart is their exceptional support team. If you ever find yourself stuck while configuring your site, you can count on them for assistance. They are not only knowledgeable but also quick to respond, offering valuable recommendations

and solutions. Also, ready to pivot with business as our needs changed over time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ThoughtFarmer?

The restricted options for customization have hindered some of our departments from shaping the platform to meet their specific requirements. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is ThoughtFarmer solving and how is that benefiting you?

ThoughtFarmer has been instrumental in tailoring a significant employee recognition program for us, which has yielded positive results for our company.

Currently, they are partnering with us to explore and leverage new features of their platform. Our goal is to drive increased engagement among our employees

and increase traffic from our field users to the intranet.

Given our unique organizational structure, creating a one-stop-shop intranet for all employees has been challenging. However, with ThoughtFarmer's assistance,

we're making strides towards achieving this goal. We are dedicated to fostering an environment of trust and a culture of collaboration, and the intranet is a key

tool in this effort. ThoughtFarmer is empowering us to make the most of their platform to serve our needs effectively. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Marc McPherson of ThoughtFarmer

Thank you for sharing your experience with ThoughtFarmer. We're delighted to hear that our platform has been instrumental in tailoring an employee recognition program for your company and that we have been able to assist you in driving increased engagement and collaboration. We understand your feedback on customization options and will continue to work with you on enhancing our platform to better meet the specific requirements of all departments.

What do you like best about ThoughtFarmer?

It is a modern intranet platform that is light years ahead of our previous site. The admin portal gives me the ability to change and correct just about anything without too much trouble. ThoughtFarmer assigned an entire team to our site build and the overall conversion. They guided us through the entire process while scheduling regular weekly meetings. Their entire team was so friendy and available that it seemed almost effortless. Even now, almost a year later, they still check in with us once a month.

The biggest challenge was actually auditing twenty years worth of out-of-date, unorganized and old content. ThoughtFarmer had an entire project team that spent months going over this process while the site was being built on the backend. They already have a very refined process in place to help make this as easy as possible. We were able to sit back and focus on what content we needed while their developers did all the heavy lifting on the back end. By the time the site was ready our team had organized, updated and prioritized the content so it was ready to be implemented. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ThoughtFarmer?

Honestly, I really like pretty much everything about it. I do, however, wish some of the features were a little more customizable. Their support, however, is excellent and always willing to hear about any new ideas or suggestions.

Our company had reservations about the social media aspect of the site as it might take away from employee productivity. It might be a good idea to keep that in mind if going down this road. Just how much time your employees will spend on their pages, ect instead of doing the work they are being paid to do? It may not be FaceBook but there is potential for some issues. I assume that this could be a problem across the board with other companies as well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering ThoughtFarmer:

Take the time to review their demos and get to know the team responsible for your new site. Take the review meetings seriously and make sure you have the right people in charge of this project on your end. Let ThoughtFarmer guide you through the process as they have perfected things. Ensure your project team has representation from every area of the company and let them be your ambassadors to the rest of the staff. Everything will be so much more rewarding if your entire company buys into the new site. Finally, limit the number of content editors and administrators to avoid "too many hands in the cookie jar." We also established a steering committee that is responsible for overall decisions regarding the site. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is ThoughtFarmer solving and how is that benefiting you?

Company-wide communication has improved by leaps and bounds since we switched over to the new modern intranet platform. Also, the staff as a whole is more involved and taking an active role in the content. We haven't fully embrassed the social media aspects of this site as much as other companies might have but the staff is very excited and I could see this happening down the rode (See above comment about our reservations). Features such as following or bookmarking a page, shout outs to coworkers, news blasts and document retention have been embraced by the majority of our employees. Finally, as mentioned above, their guidance allowed us to clean up a mess that was build and ignored over the course of twenty years. They also taught us to link to content instead of putting it in multiple places. This helps prevent the same content being updated in one location but out-of-date elsewhere. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about ThoughtFarmer?

ThoughtFarmer is super user-friendly intranet software. Was easy to build out the site and will be simple to maintain. I'm excited about their content review feature to help manage our content as time goes on. Their implementation services and overall customer service was EXCELLENT. With their implementation services, you get bite-sized workshops that take you through all the important features and best practices so the process of building an intranet isn't overwhelming. Super helpful, especially if this is your first intranet site. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ThoughtFarmer?

The only thing that I don't love about ThoughtFarmer is their app navigation. Clicking through thte site the way you would on a desktop just isn't super functional. That said, the search feature combats most issues that would arise from that, and I also understand that it's hard to fit a whole site into an app without watering it down. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is ThoughtFarmer solving and how is that benefiting you?

Solving problems of communication, siloed/outdated information. Our employees now have access to current news and information at their fingertips. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
