What do you like best about Thought Industries?

Thought Industries is highly customizable and offers many of the most useful elements of a learning management system in a user friendly way. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Thought Industries?

Customization can also be complicated. Organizing on the back end is difficult. I'd like to see upgrades to how I can organize and view things like tags, communications, etc. I'd also like to see them develop a direct messaging system like Canvas has for their system. Grading assignments is not as easy as on LMS's like Canvas or Blackboard. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Thought Industries solving and how is that benefiting you?

Thought Industries is allowing us to have easily implemented courses to offer clients. The interactive pages also allow us to easily create variety in our offerings. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Thought Industries?

Thought Industries (Ti) provides a modern platform which is both a Learning Management System and an authoring tool for self-paced eLearning (and indeed instructor-led training too). The implementation was relatively straightforward and Ti had expertise on hand to help. This was mainly needed for some integrations with other tools like SSO.

There were three main capabilities we were looking for which Ti came out very strong on. 1) We needed a public facing shop-front for our training so that anonymous users could browse our training catalogue. 2) We needed the ability to integrate with a hands-on lab provider (Skytap) so learners had self-service access to our software products within the eLearning environment. 3) We needed to provide distinct learner experiences for three categories of learners (our employees, our partners, our customers). Ti has continued to deliver faultlessly on all three.

We also needed a platform which could be easily managed by a very small team and in which instructors could easily add and manage content with minimal training.

Finally, we needed a reliable platform along with access to responsive support for those rare times when needed.

We continue to receive great feedback from our learners, we are continually adding to our portfolio of training and the amount of time we spend on supporting learners is minimal (and the majority of issues we do get are related to user error or log-in challenges related to our SSO). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Thought Industries?

If I had to choose a weak point, it would be the way instructor-led training is configured in Ti. Luckily, our volume of instructor-led events is low so not a huge challenge for us. We do run ILTs occasionally and it all works fine, it's just a bit cumbersome the way sessions are created and managed. I know other Ti customers do run high volume of ILTs so there must be ways to make this work which perhaps we did not explore fully due to our low requirements. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Thought Industries solving and how is that benefiting you?

1) We need to keep our sales and presales teams fully enabled on product lines which are evolving very fast.

2) We need to provide user training, including hands-on access to our software products, to customers as well as prospects wishing to evaluate our products.

3) We need to keep our partners up to date and enabled at three levels: sales, presales and technical services delivery. We also provide partner training around competencies which are linked to accreditations as part of our partner programme.

One of Ti's key strengths is its learning catalogue. By using custom tags, we can provide a shopping-like browsing experience as well as comprehensive search. We also use Learning Paths and custom pages to sign-post recommended learning to groups of learners. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Thought Industries?

The extraordinary amount of features and functions are a huge selling point, but the support hub is really the most useful (and used) feature for me personally as an administrator. Having so many training videos and courses to learn how to use the platform is by far the most incredible software support feature I have ever seen a company offer. There are typically at least several articles, videos, and/or courses on any given topic you could search for. You don't have to wait for support on common functions in most cases. Speaking of support, this is probably the other best feature of the Thought Industries platform. The support team goes above and beyond to help you find a solution regardless of how complicated your issue is. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Thought Industries?

No sandbox out of the box. The lack of color/font options in wysiwig editors. The inability to use a categorized administrative catalog. Not having the ability to pull our own employee academy reports (I see why this isn't possible given the reporting options and it's not feasible to use a panorama for every single client, but it would be a "nice to have" option. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering Thought Industries:

Have. A. Plan. Don't launch too early. Listen to what Thought Industries tells you to do when onboarding. Take your time, make a content item of every single type, register as a user in all of it and thoroughly test every single thing with multiple people before adding all of your content. Don't assume you can deal with just the settings, or just the content, or just the design, of a bunch of titles and then add the other items later. Add it all from the beginning - it's a lot more work at the start but completely worth it at the end. Don't make assumptions and don't take shortcuts. Don't be afraid to come up with creative workarounds for special use cases. And if you're using SSO - have a developer. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Thought Industries solving and how is that benefiting you?

Many. Thought industries has been instrumental in our digital transformation and the ability to offer our customers a more user-friendly learning experience. Automation is HUGE. Many of our processes are outdated and manual, whereas, with TI, we can easily automate a large amount of our daily processes, like issuing certificates. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Thought Industries?

Thought Industries is an excellent LMS! we have had a fantastic experience not only with the software but also with the Team at TI. Our CSM is supportive, professional and always willing to help us, sometimes with little time to spare!

Our most favourite feature is Panorama which has taken our customers to another level in their learning experiences.

We went through a fantastic implementation experience and this has set us up for success. The software is easy to use and provides a great platform for people who use us, like our team on a daily basis. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Thought Industries?

My only thing that I would say is that I would like there to be some slightly better features around in person training. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Thought Industries solving and how is that benefiting you?

TI is providing solutions to support a global customer audience across many languages and security requirements. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Thought Industries?

From the begnining, we had a seemless implemetation with TI and from day one its so easy to use.

I use TI on a daily basis, being a LMS Manager of my organisation, I have to login every day and make sure TI aligns with needs of the organisations.

TI provides a wide range of functionality and is best for internal as well external users, I particularly like Panorama. Using TI in our organisation we are able to provide our customer with their own mini learning page which gives them ability to see how the learnings being utilised and they feel more engaged with the platform.

I have worked on different LMS however have not seen this particular feature which is provided by Panorma.

The support team is very prompt and our Customer Success Manager is very responsive and has been very helpful in ensuring we get the resrouces we need from TI and our difficulties are resolved promptly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Thought Industries?

TI is amazing LMS compared to other LMS I worked on and it got lot of inbuild features, however I find the limitation to integrate the add-ons because of additional cost.

Sometimes the data in reports are not accurate and not reliable so that is one of my concern area with TI. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Thought Industries solving and how is that benefiting you?

Thought Industries helped us streamline our Training offerings, we now have all over content at one place and everyone - Employees, Customer, Partners can access training from their specified Panorama. This gives us abiliity to make customised content as per the needs of audience, it helped us organise our content and user base.

The learning offerings purchasing from the learning site directly is easy and user friendly. I like the Tag function which has made navigation so much easy and faster for the user. The ability to customize learner experiences by client with the help of Panorma has made the experience more meaningful for our users. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Thought Industries?

I like how customizable the product is, you can add code to make it look and feel how you want. The mulitple content options are also nice, the addition of micro courses has been very helpful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Thought Industries?

Even though pages and widgets are customizable with code, it wasn't really built that way. For example, I'll use the 3 column widget to build out 3 cards/menu options with the code editor. I'll save it, come back later, and the code editor has added in random lines of code.

I've also found that some features are built in one area of the product, but aren't reflected to similar areas of the product. For example, if you add a link to a content widget, you'll be able to set that link to open in a new tab. However if you add links to your site (Design > Theme > Navigation Links) you can't set those to open on new tabs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering Thought Industries:

I started using TI with very little knowledge of LMS platforms and it was extremely easy to adjust to; they offer great onboarding courses and learning materials to improve your LMS. It's very customizable to give your instance a distinct look according to your brand and the variety of content types TI offers is awesome! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Thought Industries solving and how is that benefiting you?

Thought Industries gives us a place to house our certificate content, it supports us with new user onboarding and reduces the time it takes for a new user to be independent in our product. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Thought Industries?

TI provides a wide range of functionality for a high level LMS. Our customers range from mid-sized businesses to Fortune 500. Using TI, we're able to provide a robust, and easy to use learning experience for our customers. We repeatedlly hear customers say they like how clean our courses are. TI also provides advanced capabilities such as setting up exclusvie, branded campuses for our customers (Panoramas), multilingual support, SCORM support, ecommerce and multicurrency support, learning paths, integration with Salesforce, and a highly customizable user interface. The weekly, focused learning sessions have been extremely helpful in learning key functionality in bite-sized lessons. Also, our Customer Success Manager is very responsive and has been very helpful in ensuring we get the resrouces we need from TI. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Thought Industries?

Expect a bit of a learning curve when adopting TI. While we did get thorough training up front, it was too much too soon and we felt a bit confused trying to implement some of the advanced functionality. Also, getting technical support for some issues has been slower than we would have liked. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Thought Industries solving and how is that benefiting you?

- Learner (end-user) experience is great, it's easy to create an account and access learning

-Great technical support (shout out to Nick who always records Looms to explain things to me)

- Great CSM team, Jon and team will work with you to identify your goals and hold you accountable to meeting them while optimizing your use of the system Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Thought Industries?

- Supporting a true multilingual experience is very difficult, with an inability to provide translations for certain areas of the platform

-The backend is extremely clunky especially when trying to navigate between panoramas and the main school and when customzing course detail pages, page layouts, and learning paths

- Limited options for building content with the native course builder if you want to include anything other than video and knowledge checks in your course Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Thought Industries solving and how is that benefiting you?

What do you dislike about Thought Industries?

What do you like best about Thought Industries?

Thought Industries is somewhat user-friendly. Its interface ensures that you can get started without a steep learning curve, which is great for busy learning developers.

Thought Industries' customer support is both knowledgeable and responsive. It's reassuring to have a support team that's there when you encounter challenges and can respond quickly to your needs, understanding the impact on your own customers.

Thought Industries seamlessly integrates into daily workflows, making content development and delivery more efficient. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Thought Industries?

One aspect that sometimes frustrates me is the platform's relatively slow pace in rolling out new features. In a fast-evolving digital learning landscape, quicker adaptability can be crucial. Thought Industries could improve by being more agile in this regard.

Another point of concern is the cost associated with some integrations. While the platform itself offers a robust set of features, additional integrations can come with a substantial price tag. This might deter smaller organizations with limited budgets. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Thought Industries solving and how is that benefiting you?

Thought Industries offers a rich set of features that effectively address the diverse needs of our customer education. It simplifies every aspect of our learning process, from content creation and delivery to management. Unlike some overly complex LMS platforms, Thought Industries prioritizes functionality over flashy gimmicks. This streamlined approach allowsus to focus on what truly matters: delivering meaningful and effective customer education. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
