What do you like best about Tekmetric?

As one of the first ten shops to adopt Tekmetric, I’ve had the unique opportunity to witness its evolution firsthand. From day one, this platform has revolutionized how we operate, streamlining workflow, enhancing transparency, and ultimately improving both customer experience and profitability.

The intuitive interface makes estimating, workflow management, and invoicing seamless. With real-time data, we make informed decisions faster, keeping our shop running at peak efficiency. The digital vehicle inspections (DVIs) and automated approvals have transformed customer trust—clients see exactly what we see, which eliminates doubt and speeds up approvals.

Tekmetric isn’t just a software; it’s an integral part of our success. Their team continuously improves the platform, listening to real shop owners and refining features to match our needs. It’s rare to find a company that evolves with the industry rather than lagging behind it.

What do you dislike about Tekmetric?

Reporting is still a bit under what I want/expect but third party companies like Okctorocket and Changepoint can get the information fro you.

What do you like best about Tekmetric?

This software totally changed how our shop operated. Before, we were using multiple systems for different functions, which made it difficult to get an overall view of what was going on. Now, no more Mitchell for SMS, AutoVitals for DVIs, plus CRM software and manually picking through the numbers for KPIs. Tekmetric does it all, through its own built-in features and reports, as well as integrations with other programs. Canned jobs and smart jobs have greatly streamlined the service advisors' workflow, cutting in half the time required to write up a new RO or build an estimate. The transition was made easy by all the FAQs and training articles, plus their staff who will remotely connect and transfer all your customer data and invoice history for you. Our entire staff was on-board and excited about the change from day 1, and everyone wishes we'd done it much sooner. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Tekmetric?

The entire system is online and cloud-based. The benefit is that you can access your shop from anywhere with any device, but also means that you must have a strong internet connection, and you could be affected if Tekmetric has a problem/outage on their end. What do you like best about Tekmetric?

Tekmetric allows me to give my customers and my staff a clear picture of what each car needs to be excellent. It has saved me countless hourds with its easy to use inventory and estimating system. it also alleviates the pressure of communicating with each customer about details i can easily incorporate into each estimate. What do you dislike about Tekmetric?

Not much...referring to models without a superlative in their model subtype as "base" when you are working on a Mercedes S600 or similar expensive car would be nice.

I also wish the program was compliant with Florida's right to an estimate law. i have bene told it does not meet the state's criteria, so I have to get each customer to sign a form that the state of Florida requires. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Tekmetric?

Tekmetric is very easy to use and get a hang of right off the bat. Simple but effective layout. It is great to customers to see all their inspection pictures and estimates without having to sit around at the shop. Customer support team is kind. I use it everday. What do you like best about Tekmetric?

As a user of Tekmetric since May of 2021, I can say that their team has done a great job with continuous improvement and uptime. If you want / need a Shop Management System (SMS) for your repair shop you aren't likely to find a better solution than this. In addition to using it in my own shop for years now I have also worked with other shop owners around the country who have used this (and other) SMS and haven't seen anything better. Their pricing model is superior to legacy computer based systems that want to charge you for every seat you use. I can log in on my phone and see the shop performance at any time. It is pretty intuitive for your advisors, who usually hate teh idea of switching systems. But try to take this one away and you will likely have a fight on your hands!

What do you like best about Tekmetric?

As a former Mitchell user, we went looking for something less expensive but found something so much better that price was not an issue. Even on first examination the features were so much more complete and functional that the decision was easy. Once into the program, our decision proved to be much wiser than we had expected. Transition was expertly assisted and nearly seamless Data import was facilitated easily and proved very complete and useable. The learning curve was was intuitive and the system was fully in use almost immediately. Robust and easy to use integrations are the norm, from pull through parts ordering (from multiple vendors as well as Repair Link OE resources) to receiving on-line payment and next day funds availability. Car Fax service history at a touch of a button is hugely helpful. Tekmetric is the backbone of our daily operation. The rarity of needing customer support has been a huge plus and has not been difficult to access when needed. As well as continually updating the program and adding features, Tekmetric actively solicits suggestions for changes (improvements) and provides access those requests and their frequency to its users. What do you like best about Tekmetric?

As an automotive shop owner, I have experienced the benefits of psychometric for years now. Managing car flow building repair orders is seamless, and the amount of interventions with other software and payment options has made this the "one stop shop" for us! The help desk is extremely quick to answer when needed and they are doing continuous updates to the program. We are able to submit new ideas as our business needs change and then see these updates roll out. Having a voice has been huge. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Tekmetric?

There really isn't a whole lot to dislike. When issues arise, they are fixed quickly. When updates happen, they are useful. The mobile platform can use a little work. What do you like best about Tekmetric?

After using several shop management systems, we were lucky enough to meet the Tekmetric team at a conference. Their staff was knowledgeable and understood our shops neeeds. We made the switch to Tekmetric and couldnt be happier. When we joined, it was early on in Tekmetric's development. It was already leaps above their competitors, but was lacking a few features. The transfer process was easy, they took care of all it. This is important since we use it all day, they made our down time very minimal. One of our favorite things is their feature request board, where suggestions can be made, voted on by Tekmetic user community, and they make it happen. What do you dislike about Tekmetric?

Its odd to say this about a company or a product, but there are no negatives or downsides with Tekmetric. Any issues that may arise, are taken care of by them immediately, they listen to feedback from their users, and this is they ensure you are using the best software on the market today. im not sure if it is a setting or standard but the technician side is more restricted than a service writer in assigning work. the technician needs to see just as much as a service writer if not more. the DVI also doesnt have a tab for struts so I am taking pictures in the "other" tab.
