What do you like best about Tekmetric?

Tekmetric has become a leading standard because it's a web browser software, can be access anywhere with internet. The integration of ProDemand labor, parts tech, OEC repair link makes building a ticket so easy. The digital inspections are built into Tekmetric, and transfer right into the estimate. The inspections app allows you to take pictures with your high quality camera on your phones, use speech to text, then it's all imparted to the ticket instantly.

Tekmetric was easy to implement in the shop because it is easy to use, and easy to learn.

We use Tekmetric every day, I am the foreman of the shop and all the technicians use it, and it has made the shop more efficient. When you have a problem customer service is always there to fix it. If you have an idea they take that into consideration to update the system and make it even more user friendly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Tekmetric?

I do wish that Tekmetric had a direct integration with ProDemand service manual so you didn't have to copy the vin and open ProDemand in browser then paste in the VIN. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Tekmetric solving and how is that benefiting you?

The biggest problem was we were only able to use it at the shop. Now we can access it anywhere. The reports also allow the book keeper to easily pull it all and import. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Tekmetric?

The most helpful thing about Tekmetric is all the integrations it offers. Being able to use multiple platforms and tools all from the same place takes so much headache out of building tickets, finding parts, procedures, and labor times. I was a waitress before I became a service advisor so I was starting from ground zero but thankfully the shop that I work at had recently switched to from another shop management software to Tekmetric. It was so easy to learn how to use and the customer support team is always available to help you figure something out or show you how to do something. My desktop stays open on Tekmetric all day. I don't know if I would have made it in this industry if I was using a different software. Tekmetric just makes it easy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Tekmetric?

So glad we made the switch to Tekmetric! We were nervous about the transition, but it was incredibly smooth, and their customer service was top-notch every step of the way. If you're considering it—do it, you won't regret it! From service advisors to technicians and even our customers, everyone benefits.

Our customers especially love the text feature, allowing them to review inspection results, check estimates, and approve repairs with just a click of a button. The system is streamlined and fully integrated, making our workflow smoother than ever.

Another huge plus is that Tekmetric is constantly improving based on customer feedback. They have a feature request system, so they actually listen to shops and make updates that matter. There’s always room for improvement, and one feature that would be extremely helpful is the ability to account for core inventory. Having a more streamlined way to track cores would make inventory management even more efficient. As one of the first ten shops to adopt Tekmetric, I’ve had the unique opportunity to witness its evolution firsthand. From day one, this platform has revolutionized how we operate, streamlining workflow, enhancing transparency, and ultimately improving both customer experience and profitability.

The intuitive interface makes estimating, workflow management, and invoicing seamless. With real-time data, we make informed decisions faster, keeping our shop running at peak efficiency. What do you like best about Tekmetric?

This software totally changed how our shop operated. Before, we were using multiple systems for different functions, which made it difficult to get an overall view of what was going on. Now, no more Mitchell for SMS, AutoVitals for DVIs, plus CRM software and manually picking through the numbers for KPIs. Tekmetric does it all, through its own built-in features and reports, as well as integrations with other programs. Canned jobs and smart jobs have greatly streamlined the service advisors' workflow, cutting in half the time required to write up a new RO or build an estimate. The transition was made easy by all the FAQs and training articles, plus their staff who will remotely connect and transfer all your customer data and invoice history for you. Our entire staff was on-board and excited about the change from day 1, and everyone wishes we'd done it much sooner. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Tekmetric?

The entire system is online and cloud-based. The benefit is that you can access your shop from anywhere with any device, but also means that you must have a strong internet connection, and you could be affected if Tekmetric has a problem/outage on their end. What do you like best about Tekmetric?

Tekmetric allows me to give my customers and my staff a clear picture of what each car needs to be excellent. It has saved me countless hourds with its easy to use inventory and estimating system. it also alleviates the pressure of communicating with each customer about details i can easily incorporate into each estimate. What do you dislike about Tekmetric?

Not much...referring to models without a superlative in their model subtype as "base" when you are working on a Mercedes S600 or similar expensive car would be nice.

I also wish the program was compliant with Florida's right to an estimate law. i have bene told it does not meet the state's criteria, so I have to get each customer to sign a form that the state of Florida requires. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It solves three huge issues-

1. it provides each customer with a clear and easily understandable estimate and invoice

2. it provides our staff with a clear picture of what each car needs

Tekmetric is very easy to use and get a hang of right off the bat. Simple but effective layout. It is great to customers to see all their inspection pictures and estimates without having to sit around at the shop. Customer support team is kind. I use it everday. What do you like best about Tekmetric?

As a user of Tekmetric since May of 2021, I can say that their team has done a great job with continuous improvement and uptime. If you want / need a Shop Management System (SMS) for your repair shop you aren't likely to find a better solution than this. In addition to using it in my own shop for years now I have also worked with other shop owners around the country who have used this (and other) SMS and haven't seen anything better. Their pricing model is superior to legacy computer based systems that want to charge you for every seat you use. I can log in on my phone and see the shop performance at any time. It is pretty intuitive for your advisors, who usually hate teh idea of switching systems. But try to take this one away and you will likely have a fight on your hands!

What do you dislike about Tekmetric?

When we switched from M1 we had a decade of history and we were not able to port it all over. Early on the labor guide was way less robust, but that has been addressed in the years since. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Tekmetric solving and how is that benefiting you?

Building quotes, helping advisors see if they have built a profitable ticket. The fact that I don't have to pay $15/mo for each seat allows me to have well over a dozen instances of it operating at one time in my shop, (saves us a couple hundred bucks a month. Techs can easily build quotes making the shop more efficient. Since it is cloud based, I can look into the system regardless of where I am. Additionally, this solves the issue of the old computer based systems where you are exposed to a single point of failure (main computer) as well as eliminating the need to maintain hard copies of system back up off site.

It and Quickbooks are the two primary tools that I use to understand the health of my (and others) business. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Tekmetric?

As a former Mitchell user, we went looking for something less expensive but found something so much better that price was not an issue. Even on first examination the features were so much more complete and functional that the decision was easy. Once into the program, our decision proved to be much wiser than we had expected. Transition was expertly assisted and nearly seamless Data import was facilitated easily and proved very complete and useable. The learning curve was was intuitive and the system was fully in use almost immediately. Robust and easy to use integrations are the norm, from pull through parts ordering (from multiple vendors as well as Repair Link OE resources) to receiving on-line payment and next day funds availability. Car Fax service history at a touch of a button is hugely helpful. Tekmetric is the backbone of our daily operation. The rarity of needing customer support has been a huge plus and has not been difficult to access when needed. As well as continually updating the program and adding features, Tekmetric actively solicits suggestions for changes (improvements) and provides access those requests and their frequency to its users. What do you like best about Tekmetric?

As an automotive shop owner, I have experienced the benefits of psychometric for years now. Managing car flow building repair orders is seamless, and the amount of interventions with other software and payment options has made this the "one stop shop" for us! The help desk is extremely quick to answer when needed and they are doing continuous updates to the program. We are able to submit new ideas as our business needs change and then see these updates roll out. Having a voice has been huge. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

There really isn't a whole lot to dislike. When issues arise, they are fixed quickly. When updates happen, they are useful. The mobile platform can use a little work.
