There are so many useful tools within TaxDome! The use of pipelines allows us to automate several of the admin items to free up time, clients love how user friendly it is, and tags make it so easy to keep things organized. Lots of great features all in one place. The program is easy to implement and the more we use it, the more features we discover that help us streamline tasks even further. There are a few feature improvements I'm anxious to see implemented, like being able to save multiple files to the same folder for different clients instead of having to choose the destination folder individually. I will say that TaxDome does a wonderful job of listening to their client needs and working on resolutions. Customer Service is top-notch and always accessible, and that's a huge plus. While I have used TaxDome for accounting and tax preparation, I also use it for the publishing company I co-own. My business partner and I at DoxaNous Media have found that it helps our authors and other clients to see the progress on their work as we move them along the pipeline. We're more productive and we can offer a more personable service to our clients.

I wish we could white label the client side mobile app name, but I realize this might not be possible to do. Since the app name is TaxDome, it has prompted questions from our clients, but they all have responded positively to the portal experience.
We also need to include some video files with our clients accounts, but this is not a feature currently allowed. The website says it is for security reasons, and this makes sense with many of the less common formats, but .mov, .mp4, and .avi make up 99% of the most common usage within the media industries. TaxDome does almost everything I need in my firm. I LOVE the lock to invoice feature so that I never deliver a product to a client without recieving payment. Signatures are easy and we love the document uploading/sharing. Automations are wonderful for saving time. TaxDome has alot of great feature and as with any product that does alot of things, some things are great and others leave alot to be desired. The hardest to manage is set up and maintaince of pipelines. While the software does create a lot of admin time savings with automations, it will become a member of the firm's new job to learn and manage the software so nothing breaks. I paid WFTP to set up my pipelines and have to continueally make sure everything is still working as intended.
My biggest complaint is the task management. I tried and tried and tried to make the task management function work for my firm, but it was too cumbersome and not easy to prioritize things. It was hard to keep up with what we actually need to be doing each day. So we have invested in a different task/work management tool for our internal processes.
We like built in document editor viewing screen. We need to be able to minimize the functions/header bar to see more of the document when viewing in the editor.
I would love to see the proposals work more like an actual proposal, with a more attractive format that sends a contract after the client has approved the proposal.
Invoicing has been improving but I would love to be able to use the recurring payment authorizations with CPA charge directly within TaxDome. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The simplicity of the entire system and the modern UI design that is far more practical than any other practice management system such as Canopy and Karbon. The implemintation process is very simple and there are tons of helpful support articles and customer service is always available to help in a reasonable amount of time. I have used this software every day and it is vital to our operations and in collecting our sales. I also love being able to see what other people are doing with their practice. This really could be your one-stop shop for your firm. Workflow management, electronic signatures with KBA, client portal, chat, etc. They are also actively developing and releasing new features, so it will become more useful over time. Can be a little daunting to get set up, but again this is where the community can be helpful. Portal upload has a file size limit of 300MB, which wile fine for most things is on the small side. There is also the downsides that come with using an all-in-one solution vs. dedicated apps: each feature has a competitor that is just a little bit better. In my case, this was most noticable on the proposal and billing side, where I'm using a dedicated app for that function rather than the built-in functionality of TaxDome. I love the fact that it is so much easier for me to know the stattus of each client at any time. I also love that by using the automations it saves me tons of time. This is my first year using TaxDome and after a small learning curve I was up and running - sending out Engagement Letters and requests for organizers, deposits and documents with ease. TaxDome is great because it helps with overseeing our team's productivity and maximizes our efficiency during tax prep. We are able to pull reports to see how long each task takes, how long job cards are in certain stages which allows us to re-assess our production strategies. The ease of implementing automation to our workflow is what allows each team member to focus on their tasks without certain jobs falling through the cracks. Our clients always commends on how easy it is to use the platform, from uploadnig to documents, chatting, and highlights the transparency of being able to see where their tax returns are at each stage. Customer support is highly rated as well. Personally, I love being able to send a chat and hearing back from someone within a couple of minutes. One of my main concerns about Tax Dome is not being able to merge documents so easily. As the person in charge of document management, converting jpgs to pdfs THEN merging the docs is time consuming. Hope that can get fixed in the future. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

In the beginning: The automations and pipelines are what I'm most excited to see in action. I'm also looking forward to seeing the time saved aspect. I appreciate that the customer support has been great too. I'm still working through the videos but the Ease of Implementation seems to be good too. I'll come back after I've been using it for a bit to update this review.

I am loving Tax Fome and its automations and pipelines! I joined a group called Workflows for Tax Pros" and they help me set up a few more pipelines that I have loved. I will be making some more before we jump into the next return season too. I would recommend this product to anyone and I would also say join the groups that help you actually customize all the cool features, because there are a ton! Happy I found this product. I don't really dislike anything yet. I had some challenges when uploading the client list but I found a fix for that and it seems to going well so far.

We love using Taxdome in our firm as a customized approach for the way we work. In the past we used softwares that were built for you and they fell short on options to tailor to our needs. The complexity of the software ensures you can build a great workflow but you have to invest the time to understand the process and evolve your pipelines. The best advice I received when I was beginning to use the software came from the TD community of users. I asked who I could hire to implement & build out our pipelines and so many users advised against that because you need to know how your processes work and keep up with changes you may need as the business evolves.
