- It's the tone that makes the music - Their support, very helpful blogs, value for money, their generous help during the pandemic, affordable monthly price compared to competitors, and the fact that I can pause and continue without losing data Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
What I like most about SpyFu is that it covers both organic SEO and PPC ads and we utilize both. Once you get used to all the data that SpyFu presents and get used to the interface I like that they give you the data on one pane of glass.
For example if you are looking up a keyword, on one screen you can get everything related to that keyword. This does make it easy since you don't have to go digging 5 levels deep or pull up reports. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There isn't anything that I dislike about SpyFu really but you have to invest the time to learn it. I subscribed to SpyFu last year and ended up canceling, mostly from lack of time. However I also didn't put in the work to watch their videos and tutorials so I really couldn't understand all the data.
I signed back up for SpyFu again and this time around watched all the videos and tutorials so everything was less intimidating and now I'm seeing a lot of value in it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Tons of data, great analysis of competitors and ways to compete (both strategic and tactical). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I did not know this before purchasing our license, but the tool is not designed for companies that compete locally. As a small law firm we fight for market share vigorously. When I noticed that some of the reports and data did not apply to us I reached out to support where they told me it was not designed to be used like we were.
From Support:
"....we index on a national level only. If your domain is focused only on local and only advertise locally, it is going to be incredibly difficult for us to see your domain's advertisements."
We use Google Adwords, Facebook and Yelp to advertise with a large budget, but our ads are hyper focused on a small region. So I am kind of bummed, but at the same time the tool still provides us a good amount of data, and we already bought it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Putting the right keywords on the landing page may be a challenge as you think your keywords will be great, and google may think differently. Knowing the search direction helps a lot. I made tots of costly movements in the wrong directions before residing to spyFu. The dashboard and competitors' search is easy and intuitive. It gives insights into competitors' success that you may want to replicate or exceed. The next step is looking into the right keywords that will propel the PPCs, and spyFu helps to find them too. I'm not too fond of that services that may become really costly... we don't change the landing page that often; the number of times I need the tool is really limited. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I like the keyword research feature. It is informative and easy for clients to understand when screen sharing. The layout draws the eye to query instead of dumping a bunch of phrase match keywords that make it hard to read as I've seen on other platforms. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There are some features that I don't use because I don't know enough about them. I'm sure they would be useful to the business, but I haven't had time to explore them because it seems too complicated. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
That it shows me the volume of keywords so that I know how to optimize my blog posts. It also shows me what my competitors are aiming for so that we know how to optimize our PPC efforts as well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I wish it would save lookups and competitor comparisons so that I don't have to put it in every time.
I don't like how many times I have to log in, it should save my session longer. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I generate leads for the biotechnology and life science market. My main tools are calling/contacting targets I find on social media and using the net to bring in leads (with landing pages, webinars, etc.). When I'm pitching a potential client, I show them what their competitors are doing online and how they are missing the market by using SpyFu's amazing competitive analysis. It is a compelling way to show prospects how they are missing so much of their market. Another feature I will be using more of is their keyword analysis; it will give me more ammunition to build landing pages around keywords that make sense. I will be using their keyword and competitive review with their SEO reports to create the best service for lead generation for my clients. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I only use SpyFu a few times a month so I wish it was less expensive for low-volume users. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I love the fact that SpyFy's got everything I need under one roof. Whether it's keyword research for my long-term SEO strategy or PPC data for my ad campaigns, I know I can just dive straight in and get what I need in minutes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There's nothing not to like; this software is excellent. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I appreciate Spyfu having a robust amount of information from advertising, to questions, keyword rankings, and the reports that you are able to generate. Their platform is user friendly too. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I haven't found anything I dislike about Spyfu yet; however, I do wish that they had a bit more educational videos and guides as their competitors do. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
