My leave specialists were incredibly attentive in making sure I had everything I needed. When there was a question of my potential leave starting early due to a pregnancy complication my specialist was empathetic, gave me words of encouragement and even told me a positive outcome that took place for his wife when something similar happened. The empathy and words of encouragement were appreciated!
The process was very easy and allowed for me to be stress free while all of my paperwork was filled out. I had a negative experience at a former employer where they did not understand my states laws around leave so I went into this originally stressed out I would have to fight to get my leave like last time. Having a real person I could talk to via email or call that could answer all of my many questions in a prompt manner. There's so many components and confusing elements to taking leave that would have been very challenging to navigate by myself. I felt that Sparrow helped me understand and optimize my options! Using Sparrow made the whole process of taking my leave so much easier. They are very knowledgeable and always available for questions. They have a very quick response time. As the company LOA administrator, I process anywhere from 10-20 leaves per year. Sparrow has been an amazing partner for end-to-end employee managemet. We have a dedicated leave specialist team who render top-tier concierge services from employee intake, filing all necessary state and private disability insurance claims, coordinating with medial proivders, etc... The implementation process was very straight-forward and only took 4-5 weeks from the initial conversation to our first employee leave. I couldn't recommend them more. 2 things were most helpful as a second time mom going through the birthing and postpartum process a second time: 1) reminders and alerts - I didn't have to worry that I was missing something while being sleep deprived and focused on the baby. 2) customer support with the relationships that were difficult to navigate individually the first time. No downsides to report. I think if I had been a first time mom I may have been a little anxious by the outreach leading up to the birth, and that could be cause for anxiety to first time moms who don't know what's coming, but I welcomed the communications even at the hospital because it allowed me to handle my work first and completely move on when she was born. I liked how they took ownership of my leave documentation and seeking family leave benefits. I worked 1:1 with a Sparrow support member who met wtih me virtually to review the leave process, letting me know all the information she needed from me to submit leave papers on my behalf. Other than confirming my leave dates when they happened, I didn't have to worry about sending any documentation to my state's paid leave. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I found some of the initial instructions to be confusing and had to clarify and ensure that they made sense for my state.
