I like that this intergrates with Unitrends and that Kaseya support handles the submitted tickets. The dashboard is easy to use and see the current backup and retention status. It is easy to pick a backup date and search an email account for even a specific email or folder. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Pulling a backup of someones account from a backup to archive it upon leaving the company is a little difficult. It creates a series of downloads and it turns into a bit of extra work to download 40 smaller Zip files. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I love the unlimited backup retention and the price point of this product. We use it for O365 and Salesforce and it serves the purpose well. Sales and Support are quick to respond and are very helpful. Implementation took all of 15 minutes and it is a set it and forget it type of product. All new mailboxes, OneDrive folders and SharePoint sites are automatically backed up without any admin intervention. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Interface could use a little update especially for pulling in AD users. Some users should not show up in the interface and I would like a way to hide these. Easy to setup, backs everything up regularly without issues, doesn't use dramatic amounts of data. It was quick to setup, the customer support team gets back to us quickly if there are issues, and those don't come up with any level of frequency. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It's a good means of backing up your GMail, Drive and Salesforce. It also gives the opportunity to restore backup, and manage backup. If a staff has left your organization, and their manager needs access to their email, Spanning gives you that opportunity Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Sometimes, backup can be shown to have been skipped. While the system shows it as skipped, If you check, you usually will see the backup in place. I think this can be improved on Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I like knowing that Spanning has our back, when process, or even Microsoft, can sometimes let us down. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I would like more options, such as the ability to allow end users to quickly recover mail, directly from their Outlook (read only recovery, of course). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Spanning has helped to reduce costs for file storage within Salesforce, and more importantly, has tremendously increased peace-of-mind with automatic backups on data being stored outside of Salesforce but with simple restoration when needed. The team was great with onboarding and simplified everything as well. It runs automatically every day and was easy to integrate with Salesforce via the native package. The backup tool was fairly easy to set up. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
1. They accepted my business to backup data at a specific cost per month, with no limits. Then after a couple of years they said I have too much data to back up and wanted a lot more money. When I asked them to send me my data or give me a tool to mass migrate my data to another platform, they could not give me a solution other than to individually download data from each user account.
2. The platform was unable to move my company account smoothly from one domain to a new domain when we changed our company name and domain. Their solution was to keep using our old domain. That was not possible.
3. Kaseya is constantly trying to upsell their other applications. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
