What do you like best about Smoobu?

Smoobu is a centrally aligned tool which helps in completing all the operations that are required for multiple property renting. It also shows all the real-time data of current bookings on their dashboard. It also saves us a lot of time for visiting our website again and again and change the prices of the properties according to market demand. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Smoobu?

When they have server issues the booking constantly fails which sometimes leads to multiple booking by a single customer and it really creates chaos in the peak tourist seasons when booking rates are higher and all properties are already pre booked. What problems is Smoobu solving and how is that benefiting you?

As we have a small range of flats and open properties that we use for commercial purposes but if someone has a higher number of properties and they provide renting as their main business than smoobu might not be the best tool for them as they have limited scalability and integration available due to their complex user interface. What do you like best about Smoobu?

I have lots of properties in different locations of the country and mostly it is a challenge for me to find right renters and manage the regular tasks associated with them like schedules, bookings, guest experience etc but after installing smoobu I am able to manage this challanges quite well and within minutes. Now I am able to connect with the guests much easily and brief them the property details. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Smoobu?

According to me smoobu is mainly designed for short term bookings and if someone is looking for proper long-term renters then this tool might not be that helpful as it does not provide any feature to know brief information about the guests book through it. Adding some personal info related questions on this platform might help users like us to give our property on rent for a longer duration and to reliable tenants. What problems is Smoobu solving and how is that benefiting you?

One of the most interesting features of smoobu is that it allows us to spike the prices of properties on the peak tourist seasons which again helps us in generating more revenues also it can get integrated with some smart tools so that the guests can get a more comforting home like experience in these properties provided by us while they are there on their vacations. What do you like best about Smoobu?

Excellent technical support, easy migration from Airbnb, complete help desk, access security, and acceptable price, Integrations, the website it generates and the most notable is the Guest Guide and scheduled messages. Ease of use: the interface is really clean and improving little by little, Implementation: Very easy, easily imports from Airbnb for example. Connects with the main platforms. The billing section needs improvements, especially in the management of additional items. Additionally, the web edition does not allow for complete adaptation to the desired aesthetics, the preprogrammed mixes need to be able to create more triggers on different days for the same mix. What do you like best about Smoobu?

- no unnecessary things that confuse you

- has all needed features that i need (channel synch, automated messages, etc.)

- low price

- guest guide is a nice thing to have (optics could be cooler)

- easy and guided setup (they improved it recently, I added a new property to it), now much more natural / easy Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

- limited features and sometimes some things are rather hidden / hard to find > usually customer service helps find them rather quickly

What do you like best about Smoobu?

This piece of software changed the way we managed our company. It simplified our activity to an unexpected degree. Double bookings became a thing of the past. Very easy to use and set up, good value for money. Great support. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Before purchasing SMOOBU we tried TOKEET and checked other channel managers.

My advise: Don´t believe the sales argument that plugging in many channels will increase your profits. Just be aware that airbnb and booking share among themselves 80% of the market. Those count.

What do you like best about Smoobu?

Less expensive than some other programs (you get what you pay for). The one good thing about this program was the guest app it provided which was nice. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Smoobu?

The customer service for this product is terrible. It is difficult to speak to anyone by phone and if you are able to finally get through it has to be during European hours so if you can't talk first thing in the morning you are out of luck. Many features on the included booking website are geared towards Europeans and cannot be fixed. For example, Sq meters instead of sq ft, the format for the date is day/month/year, the website has the word domicile as a tab which should say home but they have yet to fix, I never could get the website to work properly for direct bookings (whenever I tried certain dates it said that those dates weren't open even though they were). I also could not get PayPal to work with the booking website and when I asked customer service for help with they asked me to send them a screenshot of the problem (that's usually what they wanted for everything). Lastly, the most frustrating thing about this program is that after the free trial I decided to pay for a year upfront and now that I have discovered how much I don't like the program and want to cancel they won't give me a prorated refund. We offered our trial for free before deciding, but you chose to purchase a year. Of course, you also could have chosen the monthly plan to avoid this. We have many happy USA based customers who understand support is not 24/7, nor does it need to be.

It’s unfortunate about your experience, but in the past 12 months we made many releases for USA standards, it just took a little time.

What do you dislike about Smoobu?

Thewre is a major issue with their customer service. I have a ticket opened for 7 months with follow-ups from my side each month and promises from Smoobu side. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

However it is sad to see this review here rated so badly. The ticket in question related to a Latvian language release, which is not a technical issue but a request. It took us some months, and we did make the release! However this review remained.

After using Bookingautomation, Your Porter, Little Hotelier, and my allocator I can tell you this I am here to stay. So many are complicated, lack abilities and have poor service. I cannot tell you all the frustration. I searched high and low and then found this European company that has it all. Also very inexpensive. Works with Pricelabs too. Before we discovered Smoobu we had tried, and struggled with, 4 other vacation rental/channel managers.
