What do you like best about Smile.io?

Smile.io is a great program to introduce rewards in exchange for customer touches, which keeps your brand relevant and in contact with your base. In exchange for minimal and basic rewards, we receive customer engagement, retention, and sales that we otherwise wouldn't.

The app was easy to integrate into our BigCommerce platform and we plan to continue to use the app as we migrate to Shopify this year. It was also simple to set up the app, and get to know the features with a free trial prior to committing to a monthly plan.

We have not had to use customer support, but I do enjoy that I get an email every month when my account is going to be charged, there is never a surprise in the billing.

For us, the app has been a "set it and forget it" type of situation, our customers use the app frequently but we do not have to go into it often. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Smile.io?

While we enjoy the rewards aspect of the app, we were disappointed with the referrals portion. Perhaps it was our customer base, but we do not see it being engaged with very often.

A few other obstacles we had to overcome was putting customers into groups so that they would be excluded from the rewards program (wholesale accounts).

And the other is the overall front end UX, we do find that our customers are often confused about the pop-up in corner, I do wish there was an option to embed the app into a page aswell, so we can send a direct link. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Smile.io?

I've been using Smile.io for my Shopify store, Lavish Bath Creations, and it has been a great addition to my website. It has been easy to set up and and use. My customers really like being able to earn points for their purchases.

I really like that the dashboard allows me to track customer engagement and rewards easily and by clicking a specific customer you can see their personal activity within the app. Plus, the ability to customize the look of the rewards program is appreciated because it allows you to make it a perfect fit for your branding.

If you're looking for an effective and intuitive loyalty program to increase customer engagement and sales, I highly recommend Smile.io!

What do you dislike about Smile.io?

I've been using Smile.io for my Shopify store, and it's been very helpful in building customer loyalty. The platform is easy to set up, integrates seamlessly with Shopify, and my customers really enjoy earning and using their rewards. It’s been a great way to encourage repeat purchases and engagement.

I honestly don’t have many complaints because Smile.io has been a really valuable tool overall, but there are a couple of features I’d love to see become more accessible. It would be nice if smaller businesses had access to things like bonus point events or points expiration settings on the starter plan. Having features like these available at a more affordable level would make it even better for smaller businesses like mine that are still growing.

What do you like best about Smile.io?

For a small business like ours, it's all the tools you need to get started with a loyalty program. Set up is easy, and the consumer experience is easy as well. No additional accounts to set up, it's just works "out of the box" with their Shopify accounts. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Smile.io?

I wish there was a way to award points in exchange for signing up for our newsletter—a different activity than creating an account. It's not a big deal, but our Shopify theme included a nice CTA for newsletter sign up that we can't really take full advantage of because it's too confusing to ask people to opt into the newsletter AND make an account. What do you like best about Smile.io?

What do you dislike about Smile.io?

The pricing jump between tiers, it goes from $50 a month to $200 a month, when you get a bit bigger in terms of orders. Also, for me so far I haven't been able to really delve into getting the most out of customers spending their points. I don't know enough in how to ensure anyone who lands on the website can sign up and they get all these great benefits, and also even how they can access their account and see what points they have. What do you like best about Smile.io?

Smile.io is one of the first apps I integrated into my website hosted by BigCommerce and I've loved using it the last few years. The ease of integration made it one of the first apps I used when I built my website. It helps with customer engagement and retention since they are able to sign up, earn, and use their accumulated points so easily. My products are on the high end of cost and not a product that is used often meaning customers may not purchase from me more often than once a year even! But with Smile.io, I have noticed a lot of return customers which is very important to me in my business and industry! What do you like best about Smile.io?

The program is easy to set up and I like the way the app sits on our POS and lights up when the customer has a reward to redeem. I also like the way that customers can discover ways to increase their points value online. I have this app set up so that our customers can subit their birthday on the app and then they receive a birthday points reward on their actual birthday! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Smile.io?

As with all paid apps, all of the benefits probably come with a more expensive version. Also, I feel like there may be more that I could be doing with Smile, but I don't have time.

What do you like best about Smile.io?

The value of any app is only as good as it's support. The smile team is not only an expert in the software, but also in loyalty strategies and best practices. They can help you avoid pitfalls and ensure you are going to meet your business goals. Loyalty programs can be very complex, and it takes a few months of data to see how a strategy plays out...the Smile team can save months of testing and learning through their education on best practices and implementation. What do you like best about Smile.io?

We've been using Smile for many years. Customers are motivated to buy more products to earn more points and follow us on social media for the same reason. It's "tempting" for them to know they can get good discounts or free shipping. We're also using it in our other business. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Smile.io?

So far, we have no complaints about Smile. Perhaps we could configure the emails so they appear to come from our website instead of Smile, though I'm not sure if that's possible with the premium package.
