We use Smarty for both address autocomplete and address verification/geocoding. We've been with them for almost 10 years and their services are deployed in our application and used everyday by hundreds of users. In the time that we've been with them, they have constently improved upon and expanded their offerings. Their APIs are flexible enough to not only meet different business requirements but also to integrate fairly seamlessly across several different types of technical implementations. We have batch and on-demand jobs that run backend (both .NET and Java) as well as a full front-end web-application integration, all using the same Smarty REST end points. They are also constantly improving not only on the services themselves, but also on the quality and quantity of the data they provide. These improvements have, in turn, allowed us to continually enrich our address data asset. They're support team is always responsive and thorough. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I'd like to see them improve upon their usage tracking/reporting to provide more granular detail. The current usage reporting is somewhat fairly broad and aggregated (e.g., a raw count of calls per day by API key, etc.) and so isn't very helpful from an administrative/account management standpoint. Smarty is a great tool for quickly and accurately formatting a large group of addresses. With US addresses in particular, it's very easy to grab the zip code +4, automatically convert abbrevations to the USPS standard, and ensure that addresses are mailable. International address processing is also great, although it can be more hit-or-miss in terms of ability to standardize and identify addresses (which is not always an issue on Smarty's end, but often a result of the data provided or the country's mailing system, especially in less developed nations). Some countries rarely retrieve precise address results, although that is usually a result of the national mail system itself rather than any error on Smarty's part. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The best part about Smarty is its reliable and easy-to-use API. The documentation is clear and well-defined, which has allowed us to integrate address validation seamlessly into our systems. One thing I dislike about Smarty is that its standard plan functionality can be a bit limited for highly customized needs. While it excels at standard address verification and data cleansing, more complex or niche use cases may require additional workarounds additional integrations. I like that I can upload a file of addresses and get a bulk response in a fraction of a second. Very useful for the project I was working on. I have been using Smarty or as it was previously called, Smarty Streets for over a decade. As a school operations manager, it has created so much efficiencies for our school operations. I like that Smarty is so easy to use. I just upload a list, click a button, and I get the data I need. It's been such a huge added value to our organization. The addition of Smarty to the foundations register and donation forms has greatly streamlined the form completion process. We have been using SmrtyStreet services for many years and it has been consistent and reliable. I cannot recall if there was any outages or service interruptions in the past therefore, it is reliable and simple to maintain. Unlike other companys providing API access for services we call from our applications, we do not have to worry about much about maintenance or updates. We like that there are not many uncessary updates from SmartyStreet if there is any, they gave us enough time and great communitation on what we need to adjust and what can be done to continue our calls to their APIs.
