What do you like best about Small Improvements?

I have used Si in both areas of my job. The most beneficial was leading CS Operations. The ability to conduct a complete performance review (Including self-assessments) was the most impressive feature we utuilized. Documentation being a huge challenge when we first adopted the tool, Si helped the org keep track of goals, agendas for 1:1's even the frequency of my leadership meeting with their staff! What do you dislike about Small Improvements?

I would like to have the ability to have shared agendas. In meetings that are not 1:1, it would be really cool to be able to group participants to be able to see the agenda and interact. this feature request is something I would use VERY often! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Small Improvements?

I have found that Small Improvements is an easy-to-use, effective and impactful system to measure performance at my company. It is very easy to use for all levels of employee, has a lot of great features and has helped our company really define our mid year and annual performance review cycles. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Small Improvements?

I don't have many critiques of Small Improvements. I do think that adding on new features or trying to customize something for our origanization was a bit complicated but not a huge lift. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Small Improvements?

Small Improvements allows us to keep a strong pulse between managers and employees. We have multiple ways to communicate within a structured, yet flexible, space throughout the year. We leverage it for quarterly check-in's, 1:1 meetings, and 360 feedback. We love how we can capture tasks, talking points, and notes (but also how it keeps us accountable to tasks from meeting to meeting). It's an easy interface and allows for flexibility in designing our own tempates. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Small Improvements?

There is so much applicability of the tool, we often come up with "bolt on" ideas we'd like to have and there are limits to what can be added quickly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Small Improvements?

I love the ease of navigating the directory and the amount of information I am able to enter for each employee's profile. I also enjoy the way that reviewers can be entered in bulk, the way their photos show up next to the reviewee's name in the cycle (so I can tell at a glance who the reviewers are), and the ease of the extension process. The "impersonate" feature is also extremely helpful for doing quick audits of performance reviews and troubleshooting problems. Customer suport is also very responsive and helpful! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Small Improvements?

I do not like that it now automatically adds the reviewee and manager to the feedback cycle as reviewers, as these folks do not need to complete "feedback," only the evaluation. It is tedious to delete them every time before adding reviewers in. The nudging process is also unclear, as it seems that no matter what I choose in the cycle settings, folks still receive nudges randomly or very late. I also wish there was a feature to request reviewee nomimations from managers straight through the platform. I am currenty using Smartsheet to supplement this. What do you like best about Small Improvements?

It is a great tool for small size company. Easy to set up at an affordable rate. My company uses the review, objective/goal setting and schedule meeting for regular check-in. I like the ongoing feedback and can praise the coworkers/managers when they do a good job or show appreciation. Good customer support. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Small Improvements?

It could be a challenge to customize the tools. My company is looking into tracking the quarterly rating for employees without employee and manager input. The review cycle function does not have such capability that we have to track them in a spreadsheet. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Small Improvements?

I do like that Small Improvements can be customized to fit our needs. The cascading goals is a wonderful tool for leadership to pass on goals to their team. Our leadership does find it very easy to follow the platform as well. If we ever have issues, their customer service responds rather quickly and is able to help us out. What do you dislike about Small Improvements?

I do not find anything I do no like about Small Improvements. All their tools have been incredibly helpful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Small Improvements?

I like that is easy to set up and that it gives you a structure also that you get a lot of notifications when doing a performance review. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Small Improvements?

We are currently doing peer reviews, without employees having to add any reviews physically. We are not able to remove the text box it would be good to be able to remove. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Small Improvements?

I appreciate that 1:1 notes, goals, and performance review content can all be kept in one place. I also appreciate the efforts made to make the work of managers less overwhelming, and the relative ease of navigation. And, the automation between Small Improvements and Google Calendar is very handy. Customer support has also been very good. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Small Improvements?

Small Improvements is one of the only tools of its kind on the market that doesn't offer goal trees (individual performance goals linked to team performance goals linked to department goals linked to company goals), which means we either have to build the trees externally or otherwise engage all of our users on how their work connects to broader impact. I'd also love to see more embedded AI (example: with access to six months of data from goal progress, notes, feedback, etc. on a direct report, AI assist for managers on answering performance review questions). What do you like best about Small Improvements?

Small improvements integration with BambooHR takes away the manual requirement to upload all the users

Ability to configure the system to use your language (ie changing the words performance reviews) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Small Improvements?

It is quite a bit of admin to get everything set up, and setting up the performance review cycles feels a bit clunky sometimes Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Small Improvements?

We have been using Small Improvements for approximately five years now, and our staff have fully embraced the platform. We use it for goal setting, feedback, 1:1 meetings, reviews and kudos.

Whenever I have had any type of issue, the customer service has been top notch! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Small Improvements?

There are some limitations but that comes down to technology limitations. We have a very flat org structure, and some staff have a direct Manager and some do not, they only have a Coach, we have not been able to group those as one. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
