Simpplr is heavily focused on both the user experience as well as the administrative functionality. Many competing projects fall apart in one of these areas. The administrative functionality is great but little though has gone into the U/I. Or, the U/I is great but it's undermined by limited functionality. There are so many things that we like about Simpplr; after an exhaustive search for a new communications tool, Simpplr stood out as a best-in-class platform that would accommodate the quirks of our uniquely-structured organization. However, the things we like best include the ability to segment users based on attributes, the ability to enable SSO with multiple tenants/clients, and the ability to easily reach our employees where they are with a mobile app. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There really isn't much of anything to dislike about the platform. However, if we have to share little nits, perhaps it's the system not being able to offer more than one people data scheduler. I wish there was a way to upload permissions by CSV instead of having to assign them manually. It is pretty time consuming for the engineering org to assign out content manager permissions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
For a small team, implementing a new intranet can be daunting. Simpplr's implementation team made the process not just painless but enjoyable -- especially after a failed attempt with another intranet provider that outsourced their implementation support, to our project's detriment. The process was true to the name -- simple -- just like the user and admin experience of using the platform. The support our Corp Comms and IT teams have received is second to none, and it didn't end after implementation. Our account rep is very attentive, helpful, and reliable. Our employee engagement on the platform has consistently been over 90% since we launched over a year ago. Clearly, employees are happy with the tool, and so are we. It's one of the pricier platforms, so we really had to go to bat to get internal budget approval, but it's well worth it. One improvement we'd love to see -- and have requested -- is the ability to add polls directly on a site dashboard using a tile. Currently, polls can only be posted in the site feed.
