SimpleLegal is a very effective platform for managing a large number of legal entities with complex cost center codes for a global enterprise such as ours who partner with international vendors and outside counsel. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Challenges occur when you can only view ten drop-down options at a time to select from for a large number of company codes and allocations. I would like to see programming improvements to allow more than one rule to run when auto-rejecting invoices, which leads to frustration and confusion on behalf of our vendors before a human has the opportunity to review an invoice for additional rejection criteria. Their customer service is 2nd to none...prompt, friendly, patient and knowledgful! I learned the application (both how it was set-up for our organization and the administration of it) on my own after taking over a role in a chaotic time. During that time, the SimpleLegal team was there to help offer insight as to what they knew about the set-up and making sure I was comfortable performing the invoice processing. They sat with me and helped me get a rehaul done on the set-up to make it more efficient. I would love to be able to log in as a ghost user of ANY of my vendors to see what they see as an issue. Not so much to diagnose or assist but just for my own knowledge. SimpleLegal is super easy to use. It is both user friendly and very intuitive to use. The attorneys I support I also appreciate how easy it is use. In addition, SimpleLegal integrates into Oracle, which is what our Accounts Payable Team use to issue payment to our vendors. The reporting functionality was a not the easiest to use or understand on how to create an ad hoc report. That being said, SimpleLegal did help us create a custom legal repor that at least provided us with our data but we still need to manually clean up the data afterwards.
