If it is working properly, it's decent to use for a radio station. Getting it to work properly on a brand new computer is apparently much more difficult than one would think. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

My station has used Simian as long as I've worked here, it used to be ok and only mess up some times, but ever since we got new computers and updated Simian, it seems like nothing works right. You have to close and reopen the app to make it work. Customer service is expensive, and for some reason have no clue how to fix bugs in their own software. Excellent uptime. I love that about simian.

I am a developer, so uptime is a very important aspect when deciding what to use. A 0.01% is a lot when calculated by YEAR. So, I love that simian is almost never offline. They guarantee 99.999 percent uptime. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Their Developer API isn't that strong. Which is kinda bad for me as I develop a lot.

Also, it's not encrypted at all. I would have loved to see its end-to-end encrypted. That'd make my data safer. Sometimes I don't want my data to be scrapped by a crawler and seen by a robot, unfortunately now I can't really do much about it as it's not encrypted. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I used the Simian 2.3 Pro version which was new at the time (2017) and a huge upgrade over previous version. The Simian 1.8 version or other older versions quite honestly are a waste of your time and money. The 2.3 version program spots 7 days in advance with ease. Logs are easily saved for a month. The biggest problem I had was with the time in that the clock often skipped from intermittent internet speed connections, etc... and that would mess up the timing of local breaks. I was told there was a way to correct the time with an adjuster but we never made the investment so I wasted quite a lot of time (almost daily) needing to change times on all my breaks. We like how Simian has worked with us to help customize the interface, removing features that we don't need and being open to suggestions to feature requests

While certainly not the most intuitive or future-proof video hosting service i've used, it certainly is much MUCH More affordable than most. Frustrated by the fact that archival videos have to have their data streaming limited to 3mbps - that is certainly not a future-proof video quality; would prefer to use something more data rich than that when considering an archival spec. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
