What do you like best about Setapp?

Setapp is a software subscription that allows Mac users to access software for day to day issues, without breaking the bank on the most recent updates or versions.

I like that I can try things out and only use what's most useful to me right now, so I don't have hundreds of useless programs lurking around.

It's easy to download and I can keep it on my navigation bar to go directly to the site or load what I've already chosen.

While it was not an issue when I first signed up, at this point in time, I'm glad that it is a Ukraine-based company and I can feel that I am supporting Ukraine. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Setapp?

The main drawback is that I sometimes forget to check what's new and I might miss something that could be truly helpful, or spend time noodling around what's potentially interesting, but doesn't really solve a problem.That latter issue is my own, though and not Setapp's. What do you like best about Setapp?

Easy to purchase for the whole team. Save time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Setapp?

We purchased the team version, however, due to the team churn, our seat has decreased 33%. However, Setapp cannot provide a refund or reserve future credits. And even if we have extra seats, we still need to purchase extra devices for the existing users.

Also, we encountered 1 bug. We were unable to assign a seat to a member who had expired the invitation before.

What's more bizarre is that we first canceled next year's subscription and contacted customer service to decrease our seats. We see our seat is decreased (no refund BTW), however, the subscription is toggled to renew again.

I wanted to recommend this to other teams. However, the entire pricing drama is depressing. Not professional. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

We do acknowledge that our billing policy may not currently allow for partial refunds in the event of mid-year team reductions. While team size increases are accommodated without issue, reductions may follow the next billing cycle. We understand this may be limiting, and your feedback is noted.

It appears there might be some confusion regarding member seats and device seats. Member seats are invitations for team members and cannot be repurposed as additional devices for existing members. This distinction is in place to ensure the integrity of team roles and licensing.

The bug you encountered preventing the assignment of a seat to a member with an expired invitation is concerning. We apologize for any inconvenience caused by this issue. Our team is actively investigating this matter to ensure smoother seat management in the future.

We're sorry to hear about the inconvenience you faced when canceling next year's subscription and adjusting seat numbers. We'll look into why the subscription toggled to renew after cancellation and make sure such situations are resolved moving forward.

What do you like best about Setapp?

There's an app for just about everything. Think of it like having a whole toolbox at your disposal. Maybe you just use a hammer, but you have a job for a rubber mallet. It's like you have a magic toolbox, you just reach in there, and suddenly you have a rubber mallet at your disposal. I'm more productive on my Mac because of Setapp and all the bundled apps. Setapp have consistently added new apps. I've discovered found some really useful utilities I didn't know I needed. Even if I only use them occasionally, it's great to know I have them available when I need them. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
