Service Now is a great IT management tool for us. We could integrate an extensive range of IT and business services with ServiceNow and support our internal users much more efficiently. I could see the difference clearly because we were not using ServiceNow previously and were introduced through an acquisition. It's a highly configurable offering that can tailor well to organizational needs. The user interface is easy to navigate and intuitive, making it easy for all skill levels of the users. ServiceNow is a bit complex to set up and configure, requiring expertise, especially for large environments. The reporting and analytical capabilities appear to be limited and could've been better. ServiceNow is a one-stop place that allows organizations to follow standardized ITSM processes.
I like various features of now platform, such as
Knowledge database - where the standard operating procedure (SOP) documents can be uploaded to resolve the incident/problem tickets faster.
CMDB (Configuration management database) - Where all the details of the CIs in the IT environment is maintained, providing complete visibility to our environment.
Intelligence workflow automation - where the team can automate the incident resolution process by writing scripts in PowerShell/python by creating workflows in ServiceNow, thereby eliminating the need for manual work and increasing the team's productivity.
Predictive Intelligence - It has built-in machine learning algorithms that can bring intelligence to resolve incidents faster, such as suggesting the correct document for an incident or identifying the right team to assign the incident ticket. Servicenow now platform's predictive intelligence has few prebuilt machine learning algorithms. Still, the control over preprocessing and cleaning the data is much less, which is very much required to train the models to their full capability. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
