In all honesty, the product is fine. It does what it is intended to do and it works well. We integrated it with Marketo and Salesforce and there were no issues. Sales team commented that it was relatively easy to use - nothing special, however. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
This tool is overpriced. You are paying a base price plus per seat per user. When you start adding seats for your Sales team, the price of the software begins to increase - especially when you have to add additional funds for gift sending.
It is incredibly important to note that you must import dollars into the tool for all sends (this portion makes sense. You have to do this with any gifting platform). What doesn't make sense is that you cannot get back out whatever dollars that are imported into Sendoso. You are essentially locked in to spend whatever money is 'invoiced' or added as funds into the tool.
At the end of our contract and when we wanted to leave, we had a five-figure sum of money stuck in the tool, which we had to scramble to determine a plan to spend. Yes, these terms are mentioned in the contract; however, other tools such as Alyce do not have these types of T&C. You are also not paying per user.
We attempted to work with our rep and their finance team to get a month extension to work out a strategy to spend the money in a coordinated way properly. But, unfortunately, they came back and said they would only offer us a 3-month extension. After being a long-term customer, you would hope for a little better service and a little more flexibility.
In this transition process, I have talked to others who have experienced other horror stories with their T&C, renewal process, and trying to transition out of Sendoso. As mentioned, there is nothing inherently wrong with the tool. But when you factor in poor customer service, you start to re-think your decision with staying.
In many ways, Sendoso is like Hotel California - they want you to come - but they sure make it hard for you to leave. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The fact that you can't send one-off physical mail items to an individual is maddening. This is not a complete product. Support is not super helpful. Our customer success manager is checked out. The site is slow and confusing to navigate. And it's crazy expensive for what you get. It's been three months since my team implemented this and we've not had a successful send yet. I grew up watching my dad bring donuts to his customers every morning. He was top notch sales person who saw a lot of success. Since I work in a remote environment, I didn't have a way to replicate that kind of generousity sales style before Sendoso. I'm a huge fan, and so are my customers. Sendoso is a great way to provide incentives for clients and to show appreciation of their business! I love the range that Sendoso provides from a coffee gift card to a lunch, or an amazon GC. I've had so many clients show appreciation which has lead to great relationships. In a more remote world now, it's the equivalent of taking a prospective or solidified client out for a drink or meal. The customer service from sales, customer success and support have all been pretty stellar! They've basically alleviated all of our pain points from our previous vendor.
Quick responses from support, timely sends for events, and proactive follow ups are just some of what they do for us.

We've had a great opportunity to build both marketing and sales campaigns at a scale that would not be possible without this tool Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There are a number of flaws when trying to build large campaigns. A system is put in place by Sendoso that can make sends very difficult and tedious. Even when building out a program for "surprise & delight" Sendoso requires addresses to be confirmed. This falls onto the shoulders of a sender and can require multiple additional touches just to get items sent. Sendoso can also make it quite difficult to track down invoices and expenses. Often, a send will require multiple charges per send making reconciling a chore at best. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I was blown away by the demos I received from Nick Petrillo and overjoyed that we were able to get in and start using Sendoso quickly. The sales cycle was very fast and I attribute that to the discounts we received, which were priceless so to speak for the small but growing company I work for.

I'm about to go on a tangent but absolutely nothing is intuitive or easy to use. Adding our inventory from our previous warehouses and other people's homes into this system was a total and complete nightmare. When was the last time this team did a thorough review of that process? Even the small things like button placements just make everything about this harder. Then, once you add the inventory you have to wait a century for it to be uploaded and give you the ability to create a send notice with it.
Poor Andres has had to listen to me asking 1,000 questions, most of them over and over because this program just has so many "quirks" and bugs that you need to get used to or just know that it acts like that.
It is also NOT easy to do something simple like send someone a t-shirt from our inventory. We have to create a whole campaign then do the second send step just to do something that should be SUPER easy.
We're having to upgrade to unlimited event sends because our primary usecase for Sendoso is for field marketing purposes. Storing items to send back and forth between tradeshows, etc and we were only given FOUR opportunities in our base package to do this. That definitely felt like a bait and switch during the sales process. We are still waiting on Lin Yar to give us information from our legal team on the logistics of how this works so we can even get this approved. Until then, we are doing everything manually — and by we I mean me, the brand designer.

Ability to instantly create a warm outreach with cold prospects. It's really easy to send out a couple quick Amazon gifts everyday that will help you get contact with a prospect within the week. Because of this, I'm using Sendoso ~4-5x per week right now.
