As a parent, I love being able to see my child's work, and to leave comments for them to read. Lots of great options to share different formats - pictures, annotations, videos with audio, etc. Teachers are able to approve content before it officially posts. I also love being able to see weekly teacher newsletters in one place, rather than having to search my email! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The only difficult thing is that when teachers add content, it adds in by date created, not date added, so it's sometimes hard to scroll back and find out what was newly added since you last looked at the app or site. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The format is similar to Facebook which most people have so it’s relatable. The option I have to approve or delete comments. I like how i can private message parents. The ability for students to post their work and she’s with class if they want to. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I don’t like that adding a caption (which is what I usually do when posting a reminder That includes a graphic or photo ) it is not behind the ...bubble on the phone version which is a pain to access. The process to add students to their own accounts is complicated and could be easier Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The workflow and the various ways to review and approve students work. I have 3 groups of students and use activity, folders and the students as ways to review and approve work Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It's too easy to send back work without comments. SeeSaw should fix this or at least put up a 'Are you Sure' notification. I've learned now to comment first before hitting the send back button Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I like how you can quickly and easily communicate with parents about the work that the children are doing as well as communicating about important information directly.
The parents are able to look at the work their children are doing and comment and like the work they have done.
You can create assignments quickly and easily. Once you have created an assignment you can assign the assignment to any class you are linked to all at once. You also are able to schedule when the activity appears and what folders it is stored in.
All of the assignments you create are stored automatically for easy reuse and editing. You can also create a school wide database of assignments you want to share to all for cross curriculum collaboration. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
If I want to assign work to multiple classes at once there is not an easy way to post work to all of them at once. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Seesaw has a very easy to use and easy to train interface for all levels of learners. It's a bare bones LMS-like system that can easily facilitate simple learning tasks. Our facilitators have a relatively simple time distributing learning. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Seesaw definitely has it's limitations and we see some end user issues from time to time. Our biggest issue has been with users losing submissions or posts. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
They have an app and also a web version. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
While on quarantine the school of my children started actively using SeeSaw for remote education. Let me say this way: I manage of a company with 300 employees, yet I never felt so helpless, confused and frustrated as when I tried to manage education for three 8 year old children. Thank god they are triplets and two of them are in the same class, so at least some things could be shared - otherwise I probably would go crazy.
You can never understand which assignments are due, where the info is being sent (is in journal? in the child's inbox? in parent's notification?). Every time a child needs to submit the work they did, they cannot figure out and call you. Uploading a photo takes 4-5 clicks and you cannot upload multiple pictures at once.
During the last 1.5 months judging by the amount of my worktime wasted - the SeeSaw is on the top of the list "Things with negative impact" Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The platform is very easy to navigate through. Instructors can easily input assignments for students to do, and it shows when they are completed so it’s easy to track. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It’s not attached to canvas, which is the learning platform for students at the moment. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I absolutely LOVE that is 100% elementary age kid appropriate. With a chromebook my child was able to complete all of her school task completely independent, from sign in to submit! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
From time to time there would be elements that were pretty different to manipulate. In those cases were were able to use the conveniently located comment box to send a direct message to her teacher. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I like that teachers can post assignments and time limits on Seesaw. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I do not like how challenging it is to download pictures or screenshots. About 80% of the work I do is shown by pictures or screenshots. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Parents want to celebrate their children's achievements at each stage, so it is important to keep them aware of their children's progress throughout the school year. With the Seesaw application, students can store and publish their best work to share with their parents. Teachers, on the other hand, can provide concrete examples of their students' strengths and areas to improve their parents during parent-teacher meetings. The improvements in the Activities section make it easy to share activities with your classes, save voice instructions and find other activities provided by teachers in the library. So far nothing, I have been using it for about two years and it has only brought positive things to my life. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
