It does very basic things, well, and my students are able to navigate (which is good because they are second language learners) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It's not intuitive...how you add something at the top of the queue instead of it going to the bottom...there was no way I'd be able to figure that out on my own (you have to have your cursor hover on a line until a green line pops up and then you click add assignment. It also just looks very DOS, super old-fashioned Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

We use this in 2 ways: first we use it for individual classes. Teachers can provide lesson resources and lesson activities in an organized manner. Students can access these resources at all times and it is very easy for the teachers to upload, organize, and save everything. As a teacher I use it at least weekly for my classes especially for longer assignments or providing additional resources for students.
We also use it for professional support. My school district uses it to share the curriculum resources (daily lessons, assessment blueprints, year and unit plans, etc) with all the teachers. It is also easy to organize and acess the previous year's curriculum in the same group. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Some of the outside resources do not integrate seemlessly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I like how Schoology is an easy way to organize work for your students.
The assignments are great for collecting and analyzing data.
You can create digital rubrics to grade student assignments. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The LMS system Canvaa allows users to download a class and share the file with other users. This seems like an easier way to collaborate with other educators and a really useful feature.
A lot of the add ins and embedded features are not intuiative and require a lot of trouble shooting. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Schoology is user friendly and easy to naviaged. It helps me as an admin be able to have control and support wihotut having to log in as end users. It also is a great educaitonal platfomr. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Schoology integration wiht PS is still lacking and that makes us require users to have two different account and extra work for teachers. Customer support is also difficult to get to useranme my issues sometimes, so while they do help, it is hard to get to exactly what I need quikcly with. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The most useful part of schoology is being able to upload videos. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Schoology is very difficutl for elementary school. Uploading lessons and creating links were cumberson. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

One of the things I enjoy about Schoology is how user-friendly it is. As a new teacher, I have been able to create assignments and tests, share them with other teachers, and grade them with ease. I am also a massive fan of the OneNote extension. Students no longer have to wait until I find time to upload notes. Instead, I can create notebooks that upload while I teach. One downside of Schoology is that it does take a while to get familiar with. I had to attend various meetings, watch youtube videos, and speak with many teachers to feel confident on the LMS. However, after doing so, I used some really neat tricks that I use every day! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Schoology is a platform for both students and educators to expound their knowldge. It is also an avenue for teachers to engaged their students even outside the classroom setup. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The feature where the teacher creates their own content which is both beneficial and not. Beneficial in the sense that there is still teacher's participation but on the other end it is not so beneficial because it is prone to errors. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

As a student who uses Schoology, I appreciate how easy it is to see all of your classes.
There's even a separate 'Groups' section for clubs or other activities that aren't classes.
Schoology also integrates with Powerschool, making it easier for teachers to put in grades.
It has Calendar and Agenda features that allow you to manage upcoming work.
There's also a plethora of notification settings that can be modified separately on a class-by-class basis.
There's even a built-in messaging system to allow students and teachers to communicate.
Schoology includes integration with a lot of services, and it is very versatile, often having students not even needing to leave the site to complete tasks like Google Docs.
It can save assessments for you, so when you have to take a break, you can go back in and not have to reanswer questions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
One of the features that I think could use some improvement is the Agenda and Calendar's assignment views. Currently, there's no way to see if you have completed an assignment without clicking on it, and as a student, it can be hard to remember what you have and have turned in, so it would be nice to maybe have a checkbox next to assignments to make it easier to see which ones are complete. I also hear the school I go to pays a lot to use the software when, in comparison, Google Classroom is a free and easy-to-use alternative. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
you can upload a lot of materials and share them with your students at any time Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I cannot think of a downside. Everything is everything I can long for Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Schoology was intuitive enough to set up a classroom without having to read a user guide. I appreciated the ability to color-code folders so that students and I could easily ascertain which folder I needed in a unit. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
As a teacher-user, I could set up Schoology to make sense for me. I repeated folders within units. However, as a parent of a student, it is clear that there is no rhyme or reason for how different teachers set up folders. It becomes frustrating for students and for parents. Schoology's open-ended ability to design hierarchies within folders, while well-intentioned, is frustrating for the end-user (student and parent). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
