This is super easy for small children to use. They can take a picture of an assignment and instantly send it to their families. The voice feature helps students who are not yet readers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It can sometimes be hard to manage. I would love to turn off messaging as I already have too many ways for parents to get in touch with me. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Seesaw is a significantly better option for teacher-parent communication versus a group text (whether a standard text message or a messaging platform like WhatsApp); it can focus on student-specific messages and media like photos and video, as well as general class-level communications. The mobile app is functional, if not slickly designed, and works for what it is intended to do. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The interface is a bit clunky, and the media resolution is limited; a UI/UX makeover would do a world of good and entice more parents to use it and become part of the discussion around their childrens' classroom activities. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Seesaw is easy for students to access, user-friendly, and customizable for each assignment I want to assign. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
You can only put one video on each slide, so it becomes multiple slides if you have multiple videos. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The ability to receive content from the teacher (e.g., documentation, videos, links to external resources, etc.), complete assignments (e.g., worksheet, drawings, recordings, etc.), and more all in one platform. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Using Seesaw isn't always intuitive. I can easily find the activities we need to complete, getting back to where we need to be for the next assignment causes some confusion.
Also, when using our Amazon/Fire tablets, we are unable to download the app. We tried to use the internet to access what we needed from Seesaw, but when we needed to watch a video in Seesaw, we couldn't without the app. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I love having the ability to progress monitor students class work. I also like that students are able to respond to prompts in multiple ways to give them more student voice within the classroom. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I wish there was a way to record a video for instructions. I also believe there could be a better way to display the student activities according to UDL to benefit all learners. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The most favorable feature of Seesaw is its simple and intuitive user interface. It has such a user-friendly interface that even my 6-year-old kid can use it effortlessly without any hassles. It has an easy navigation tab in the bottom. I can take real time assessments from my students to track their progress. My students can respond to the assignments in the form of a photo, drawing, video or a link. My students can then edit their photos and videos to make them more interesting. My students can also view the submissions of other students for competition. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
My students often complain that they receive errors while trying to record a large video for submission. The notifications sent don't lead you to the assignments. Instead, they just open the application and you have to search for the assignment everywhere which is a little bit frustrating for my students Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
This semester due to the pandemic, my daughter’s classroom used Seesaw to send school work and creative materials to her teacher. The first time using the Seesaw app we found it to be user friendly. What I like best is that you can upload work and type in notes or captions in the same image or document area. This saves a lot of time than having to upload an image or document then the caption second. I am so thankful for this platform as it has taught my daughter to improve her math skills through the block tools that are used and learning science application. As far as dislikes, I don’t like that there is no history section as of what was already sent to the teacher. Sometimes I have sent things twice if I wasn’t sure that I sent it before. I also wish there was more of a communication between parents and maybe a parents chat section so that play dates could be scheduled. That would have been nice. Something like a sharing of work or art content between kids and parents could monitor that section as well as communicate with one another.I also notice that when you are working on the mobile app and say you have your child to some writing or math/drawing work it's very hard to use your fingers. I think it's because the screen is so small so a stylus is definitely needed for this portion if you are working from the mobile app. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Seesaw allows me to assign meaningful activities that my students love! It is straightforward to do and does not take a long time to learn how to do. I love that I can assign activities ahead of time, not only the day but the time! We started to use this because of the pandemic, but we plan to use it for many years to come! At this time, I have not found anything that I dislike about Seesaw. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I love the interaction I can have with my daughter and her teachers while she is at school. It is a great tool for parents and teachers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I dislike that I am unable to save an individual picture from a post. It requires saving all the pictures of the post rather than only the ones I want. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
