There isn't anything that I do not like about Securly Aware. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Securely is a one-stop shop for all our filtering and monitoring. Our students know that they are safe when they search and that they can't get to things they shouldn't Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The classroom side of things is very cumbersome for staff. They find it not as friendly, and students are able to not be seen. Having to update the classroom for the staff to see computers constantly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I have been a technology teacher for years. I have used several programs over the years, all of them I was comfortable changing each time my school district changed filter programs. However, changing to Securly has been a nightmare. I have spent hours trying to set it up to work in my class, and I feel as through I am going no where. I have requested that our school district return to GoGuadan as soon as possible. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Where to start? Creating block lists, white lists, are difficult. Securly claims to have other useful features, but I can't use it well for the basic content filter, there is not point to using this software. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I'm very impressed with the capabilities and features offered by Securly Filter. As a tool designed to provide web filtering, student safety, and device management, it delivers on its promises quite effectively. With its advanced filtering technology, it allows school administrators to customize and control access to online content, ensuring that students are not exposed to inappropriate material.
One of the standout features of Securly is its ability to provide real-time alerts to school staff when students are engaging in potentially harmful behavior online. This helps to prevent cyberbullying, self-harm, and other online safety concerns that are becoming increasingly prevalent in today's digital world. Additionally, its monitoring capabilities give school staff valuable insights into how students are using technology, which can help inform policies and procedures for internet use.
Overall, I would highly recommend Securly to any school looking to provide a safe online environment for its students. With its powerful filtering technology, real-time monitoring, and easy-to-use interface, it provides an effective solution to the complex issue of online safety. I miss very much the ability to see students' estimated GEO location. This, however, is an API thing, with Google not allowing this feature to work any longer. So to be fair, this is not a Securly issue; it's on Google's end. Ah well... Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I really like how easy it is to see what's happening on our school-owned devices. With only a few clicks, I can have a report showing exactly what a student has been looking at. I also love how easy it is for parents to see what their child has been doing. The weekly summary is priceless, and many of our parents are grateful that we have it as an option. I wish it was easier to active detailed tracking. This would allow me to do a deep dive into a student's internet usage without taking their device. Additionally, I would like the software to show details about the "click". Such as how long they were on that site, or what they clicked on while on the site. The best feature about Securly is the ability to send announcements to the select students' computers and send them private chats to direct their off-task behavior. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I don't particularly like having to start each class daily. It would be nice to have a set schedule for each day that would start at a specific time since starting several classes each day can be overwhelming. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Securly Filter helps to keep the students safe and secure by blocking inappropriate content. I like that I can set up different policies for different groups.
The monitoring and reporting help to know what the students are browsing. The reports can show what a student was doing when they were supposed to be focused in class. We also set up the parent reports so they can review their child's activity.
When a student receives a block message, I also like that it tells them why it is blocked. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I don't have anything that I dislike. The one thing I would like is to be able to create more customized reports that could automatically send me weekly updates. Other than that, I'm pleased with Securly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Securly allows me to worry less about what students are attempting to get into on their devices while at school and home. Its collection of websites to block is vast and continues to be added to as new sites are developed.
The filtering tool is user friendly to set up and maintain. If a teacher needs a website opened or blocked, it is very easy to enter the interface and make those changes.
Securly is also great because I can set up different policies in the filter, so that different age groups can have different levels of access while browsing.
I highly recommend Securly for your filtering needs in a 1:1 device environment. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I really do not have any major dislikes about the product. The filter topics are well defined and I'm glad it allows you to Allow/Block items, even if Securly is blocking them. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The fact that I have excellent help and training at my fingertips. I am a one-man shop, but it feels like I have people that I can go to for help. I came into this site without real training, but now I feel confident that I provide excellent care for our school. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It was difficult at first as I did not know about the Lounge, but once I learned about it, the sun shone a bit brighter that day! I really don't see a need to improve it, "if it ain't broken, don't fix it." Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Securly has made filtering content on school devices extremely easy. If I find that a student is on a site that should be blocked, all I have to do is find the user and that specific site and click "block." The same is true if a teacher instructs the students to go to a certain website only to find it blocked. A quick email to me about the user and site and I find the activity and click "allow" for all users. The user interface is very intuitive. I am able to set policies for different groups, set up alerts for words, etc. We have used Securly for 4 years and plan on renewing for another 3-5.
I also love the ability to watch each student's device within a class. Securly allows me to quickly push a certain website or only allow for a predetermined number of tabs. While monitoring, if I notice a student struggling, it is simple to send a chat message to be able to engage the child without fear of humiliating him/her by calling them to the desk.
If you are trying to decide if this product is right for your school, I would tell you that you shouldn't hesitate. Securly support is always willing to help while trying to understand how to set up your environment. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The iOS side isn't as intuitive as the chrome side but I think that is because Apple limits abilities to 3rd parties for what you are permitted to monitor. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
