Above all else, the Secureframe team is amazing and always available to help. They have folks on the team that can answer questions on every stage of security compliance: from selecting an auditor, to implementing best practice cloud security, and to writing your policies. As this was our first time going through SOC 2, I don't think we could have asked for a more supportive and responsive vendor to work with.

Beyond all that, the platform is consistently improving. Compared with a vendor like Vanta, Secureframe seems to ship a better product and is hyper-focused on making the experience better for users. Sometimes navigating within Secureframe can be a little confusing – it can be challenging to find the specific setting you're looking for. For example, I frequently reference the SOC 2 readiness report, but getting there means going to the Monitoring section -> Reports -> SOC 2 report. I think there is a slight of a learning curve in the beginning to get up to speed, especially if you're looking to get prepared in a short period of time (for the first time ever). While there are tons of integrations out of the box, I think it'd be cool to see Secureframe open up an API to other app developers to connect into their ecosystem. Secureframe’s platform made getting our SOC 2 incredibly easy and saved us easily hundreds of hours of time and resources. I loved how the product helped streamline a lot of the evidence collection process as well as providing security awareness training, policy creation, and vendor management. It literally did almost everything we needed to get SOC 2 compliant. The integrations were great in pulling in evidence from our existing tech stack, which helped save a lot of time for us.
