Made the SOC2 audit process very smooth. Once everything was checked off on Secureframe, the audit itself was practically just a formality. Secureframe lists all requirements for the audit as well as steps to satisfy the requirements, depending on your infrastructure (for example, how to enable features in AWS that satisfy certain requirements). When requirements or resolution steps are unclear, their support team is able to provide helpful advice and guidance in a timely fashion. This was my first time going through a SOC2 audit process and it was much easier than I expected thanks to Secureframe. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Not all requirements and resolution steps are as clear as they could be. There are minor integration bugs that require manual overrides (e.g. integration claims firewalls are not enabled, but they are). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The platform's user-friendly interface made the onboarding process a breeze. All you needed to do was sync your Google/Microsoft account, and all the staff we set up were ready to go. A couple more clicks, and, the entire team was onboarded.
It guided us through the necessary steps to assess our existing security protocols and compliance measures. The real-time insights were eye-opening, allowing us to identify areas that needed improvement and providing actionable recommendations to bolster our security posture. Where the product may lack, SecureFrame more than makes up for in their customer success team members and sales team helping set you up for success.
Having worked with hundreds of SaaS vendors, I'll take a product that has shortcomings but is supported by a great team any day of the week over a great product with a terrible support experience when I need help most.
SecureFrame does a great job consolidating and automating so much of the minutia associated with compliance workstreams. They offer solutions to consolidate reporting functionality and will help check a ton (if not all) of the boxes that you need for generating content and trainings, as well as gathering evidence and generating reports to provide to your auditors. SecureFrame kept me organized and listed all the compliance items I needed to have in place and documented before starting my audit period. The available integrations allowed compliance data for certain items to be pulled directly from the systems. It was easy to update integration settings and rerun the data pulls. The customer team was helpful when we faced issues and was open to improvement suggestions. It was good to know that the organization of evidence on SecureFram was one the auditors were already familiar with; I did not have handhold them through the evidence review. Secureframe's seamless integration with systems like Okta, Kandji, and JustWorks makes it simple to obtain compliance certifications. Their directions are simple and their customer service staff is constantly available to assist. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It could take more work to pass compliance testing for platforms like GitHub and Google Cloud Platform (GCP). The software occasionally has bugs that can interfere with the status indicators in a particular region. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
