The initial policy documentation is boilerplate/copy and paste for a standard AWS cloud app developer and has a lot of grammatical errors. Our model does not fit the template and it was impossible to get the compliancy team to fully grok. We had to rewrite a significant portion of the documentation ourselves without much guidance from the compliancy team. We also got paired with the absolute worst VAPT technician for our internal audit who could not use openVPN. After a month of back and forth we were elevated to the lead technician and magically everything worked fine for them. The number of features provided is very complete, so audits can be carried out just by looking at the data in the Scrut dashboard. Consultation and post-implementation support are easy to contact, carry out reviews, and be guided regularly once a week before the audit. Language barrier: it would be easier if there were Scrut teams from each country who used the Scrut dashboard, making it easier for users to communicate with the Scrut team in the process of reviewing existing SOPs & SOP documents that needed to be created. Scut provides a solid platform for compliance, but more important for me as a startup. CEO is the fact that they helped me through the process every step of the way. They helped us build their policies helped us improve our monitoring and did a pre-audit that identified weaknesses and gaps in our processes and systems.
