Using the app requires doing many updates (a couple of times a month). There are just few screenshots saved in history (inside the app). Rest is stored and accessible in your local drive. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Screenpresso is a great tool for taking screenshots. It comes with a free version that's available for anyone who doesn't want to pay. Installation process is very easy and it doesn't take up a lot HDD space. Using screenpresso to take screenshots is also completely effortless even for beginners. I dislike the UI first and foremost. It doesn't look visually appealing in the slightest and could use a lot of work in that area. Although at its core screenpresso is good for taking screenshots, for additional features you're required to pay a hefty amount. A lot of these features that come in Pro and Enterprise versions are also available for free in other applications that can do the same task as screenpresso. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The editting functionality alongside the precision of taking screenshots makes this a must-have product. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Used the video capturing software over custom screen sizes, and it's been a bit buggy - But use this aspect rarely. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The best thing about this software is its ability to take screenshots and you can also record everything in video. You have the possibility to capture what happens from an android phone. It is ideal for recording presentations or creating online classes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The video options are somewhat limited but they are minor contras as the software is very light in terms of RAM consumption. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It is very easy to record the screen, and very useful when making video tutorials. It allows to record calls of Skype, games of video games can be recorded. You can virtually record everything that is happening on the screen. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
You have limited editing and export options. I wish I had even the most basic editing functions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
If only this application in its free version is interesting given the functions it offers, imagine what we could do with the paid or licensed version. I was evaluating the free version and it allowed me to capture full screen, capture a portion of the screen, like windows of programs and parts of texts and images, capture scrolling windows, to name a few. Additionally, it allows me to document a screenshot including arrows, text like a colorful speech bubbles and text boxes, rectangles, ellipses, spotlight an area, etc. I can share the captures through applications like Email Client like Gmail, Dropbox, OneDrive, Google Drive, among others. The application stores all the screenshots in a widget-like panel that is displayed in the lower right part of the monitor screen. Regarding capture your screen in videos, the free application includes branding among other limitations. Additionally, you can add several screenshots in a document in Word, PDF, Gif and HTML with branding. Finally, the application is lightweight in MBs (12.1 Megabytes), and easy to download and install. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I do not have negative observations of the application. I saw many advantages in the installed free version. However, its paid version is a little bit expensive. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Where do I start from?
I was searching for a no nonsense screen capture application for my personal use and came across Screenpresso (I must tell you that in those days Google did not list it on first page!!!). Since then, I've been using Screenpresso consistently for several years as my go to app for screenshots. In fact, its one of my recommended apps to my friends and colleagues. The UI can use some face lift but thats something can be lived without. Lately, I have seen some features which were originally available in free model restricted for Pro model. This can turn away few heads, but nothing show stopper. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It's possible to edit the screen taken and can crop it add the citation and annotation to it so that anyone can understand. ScreenPresso has different features of taking screen shots. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
- Currently there's no way to do rich text in the editor;
- The interface stands out as a non-Windows app;
- The screenshots is not clear where white lines appear in between. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The software comes in a free version AND a paid one. The free one still lets you get screen capture so that is an ideal way to start before you want to work your way up to the paid version. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Some people have said that the video quality is not up to par. About half of my office has agreed with this. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
