SchoolMint Enroll Reviews & Product Details

It's a great product that meets the needs of my multi-campus schools. I love the ability to customize so many things to the needs of the various LEA's I work with. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Customer support is greatly lacking. They have a dedicated troubleshooting team that reponds quickly and can escalate if needed, but if I need specific 1:1 training with an account manager or need to work out details of my contract, it can take months. Turnover among my account reps has been high since SchoolMint took over from SmartChoice. This is the last communication I received in August from my "customer support rep": "Unfortunately, my day is filled with back to back client calls so finding a time to call is difficult." This was on August 9th when I was trying to finalize the details of our contract after receiving notice that the price rate tripled. I still havne't received a call from her or anyone else. They don't even give out their phone numbers. I won't be recommending SchoolMint to any more of my customers.

SchoolMint has been useful in helping us go digital during a time when it is needed most. The communication features and data reports have been extremely helpful. This has minimized the workload for our data entry team . Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

On our end, we haven't been able to receive the turnout of re-enrollment submitted from families due to log in issues. We've had a team reach out to families to provide support and it has been a bit time consuming. Although, I do not think it is as much as SchoolMint issue, we haven't been able to reach the gratifying experience that we know SchoolMint would be able to provide. Ease of navigation and use. Putting all our applications in one easy to access site. The workflow is easy for our team to train people on. Reports are easy to use and useful to see trends that impact seat offerings. Quality support Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The platform was easy to use and the customer service was fantastic. Whenever I had a question my Implementation Specialist was ready to answer it, and when we had special cases it seemed like the whole team was ready to figure out what would be the best approach to our unique situation. There are some features in the site that could work better, but again the team was great at helping us figure out a workaround. Like we needed to have two different lotteries (in-district and out-of-district), so the workaround was to create a "second school" and this allowed us to set up two different lotteries. Another thing was when setting up messages to be sent out later, you cannot go back and edit, so I'm glad we saved templates of emails and we could update that and set it up to send to the later time we wanted. Again none of these things are dealbreakers, but I would love to see them being updated. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

We like the following aspect of SchoolMint

- Application Dashboard has been useful to view where we stand in regards to application status

- Application Index and the filters have been easy to manage through the different filter

- Communications via email and text have been a great tool for us because we can send registration to reminded to families and it has turned positive results. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The following have been some dislikes

- There is no report to pull a combination of all numbers like applications, accepted, reg. in progress, completed, verified, waitlist, and open seats. I pull this data one status at a time and I wish I could pull all this information all at once for our network of 15 schools.

- Accounts with Application, we wish to remove some of the accounts but it is not possible. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I like the ability to be able to schedule and send text/email blasts to families and being able to filter based on their application status. I also like how you can tracker New Family Orientation attendance/other event attendance as well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I wish there was a strong way to track interest so you can better monitor where a family is in the interest pipeline. We needed a system where someone could pull up easily who they needed to be following up with (who they were assigned) and if they had anyone overdue that they needed to contact. I like the live support chat feature, this has been extremely helpful as I'm trying to help 15 administrative assistants navigate through the system. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It would be nice if SchoolMint had more languages they could translate the applications into and also training videos for parents in different languages. We have also got a request for a SchoolMint app. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The application was simple for parents to use and understand. We had very few problems but when we did have problems, the support was always provided in a timely manner. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The most difficult part of the process proved to be the sign up for the testing but I know that SchoolMint will address this concern in our next application process. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Now that we have used it for a year the features make so much more sense. I love being able to take notes on student accounts and tagging people. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
