Robust Architecture of SAP ERP from a audit, user friendliness and range of tools offered by SAP for numerous business requirements Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The old architecture was based on multiple index tables and taxing for the system database resources. Major revamp in S/4 hana from simplication stand point. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The functionality and the interconnection between all the parts that could belong to an order. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Some of the screens like Process Receivables are limited to old monitor resolutions like 800x600 Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I work as an accountant now, but I used to work as a auditor and I have quite big experience with different ERP systems. SAP was always my most favorite. It's quite intuitive - if you're familiar with accountancy then everything should be quite easy for you to find. Also, the big advantage is possibility to clear the items within same account. Sounds simple but there is still a lot of popular ERP systems which cannot do it. It makes reconciliations a lot easier and allows you to keep your accounts clean. Purchase orders processing is also the best on the market. There is really so many options both for procurement and accounting departments that non other ERP solution is comparable.
Another plus is that you can open a lot of SAP instances at the same time. It makes comparing data and looking for anything you need a lot easier and faster.
It also works great with VBA macros. It enables you even more functionalities! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The interface is a bit outdated, but on the other hand there are no distractions thanks to that.
Learning code names of modules requires some time, but once you know them, you can work even faster. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Helps organize everything in an organization. The best part is it has different module and covers up all business scenarios. Also it can be integrated with any other tools. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There is hardly any such thing to dislike about this. The only thing is the UI. It can be better going forward. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It includes all modules such as distribution and inventory, supplies, finance and accounts. It takes care of supply like what is needed, how much is required, when it is necessary, etc. It helps businesses to focus on their key strengths and leave them alone. Specific SAP ERP systems are used to construct an entire business from scratch. No store master data of the various module are needed separately. Owing to the reduction of data redundancy the same master data can be used in different modules. It's an excellent tool for managing massive organizations in general. It's a very expensive device, and small companies can not afford it. This can only be done by several billion dollar companies. It's also really difficult. To handle its numerous modules, a very large team is required. It needs a complex network of different coordinating teams. There is very strong interdependence between teams. But for earthly jobs, no team can work individually. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
As an accounting professional, I appreciate that SAP ERP is highly customizable to meet the company needs and can be used in various areas depending on the type of the business . Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
as much as flexibility is an advantage it can also be a disadvantage as too much configuration and changes can create fairly complex environment that new starters can find difficult to grasp the concept of Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Since 1999, I have worked with customers who use SAP. The software industry has advanced at warp speed in that time, yet SAP has enabled the customers to stay on the platform while taking advantage of the software trends. All without major disruption or reimplementation. SAP is your best bet for future-proofing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
SAP AG is rather dictatorial. That's both good and bad. When it's bad, it can be frustrating. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
