What do you like best about SAP ECC?

SAP ERP is definitely one of the best ERP system out there that is meant for enterprise and business specific use cases. SAPERP is not meant for small/medium businesses. SAPERP is fast due to its backend in-memory database SAP HANA. SAPERP can be customized to fit many business needs and workflow - at a cost.

SAP ERP has more bells and whistles than you will ever need. Despite its little outdated look and feel, it has API access as well as modern design tool via SAP Fiori which allows developers to easily design forms using their favorite programming language. It also has connectors to React. SAP Fiori is also HTML5 friendly and the screens are all optimized for the modern web.

Overall, SAP ERP integrates nicely into other SAP products proving end to end solution from back end procedures such as billing/accounting, workflow, tasks, analytics/reporting to front office management. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SAP ECC?

The cost of SAPERP implementation is tremendous. Cost for the consultation via licensed third party company, hardware and software is very high. Integrating with other non-SAP software is a pain point because SAPERP has its own way of managing its information. The names of the modules, databases/tables are not intuitive. When working with SAP ERP the first few challenges includes learning SAP specific terminologies and lingo and shortcut keys. Because SAP ERP is proprietary, the engineers tends to be one sided meaning and not open to other non-SAP solutions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering SAP ECC:

Cost and time commitment to the implementation. SAP ERP is a heavy system but it does solve a lot of needs at once. When implementing SAP, you need a team of consultants from technical to business analysts to help provide support post go LIVE. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is SAP ECC solving and how is that benefiting you?

The main problem that SAP ERP solves is that it provides end to end solution from backend thru frontend. SAP ERP when implemented correctly can save time in the long run because it is a one stop shop providing end to end solution from concept, design, implementation and post installation management. What do you like best about SAP ECC?

It's an excellent software to manahe all your company's ERP need. However, i really like the feature of financial reconciliation through SAP ECC which is extremely good Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SAP ECC?

Reporting is a bit challenge. However, with SAP S/4 Hana, SAP, has addressed it. However we are yet to upgrade. I wish SAP would have given more inbuild reporting feature in SAP ECC. This has more of manual efforts now of you need another peripheral application to do the same. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is SAP ECC solving and how is that benefiting you?

SAP ECC is one of the best in class ERP tool which helps us to consolidate all our enterprise resource planning needs under one single umbrealla. We are currently using it for Accounts, budgeting, finance reconcilation, Service delivery, Quality Management and it's helps the organisation to plan and forecast better, fasster and manage it's Risk on time.
