What do you like best about SAP ECC?

It is best suited for large organizations / MNC’s that can fully utilize its potential for finance functions. It has helped the organisation by integrating various process like OTC, P2P, I2P, HR, Manufacturing & Prod with Quality integration using the QI module. Can be deployed with data analytical and business intelligence tools via integration strategies. This help to deliver information for management review decks for review and also helps us keep an automated system of internal checks and balances. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SAP ECC?

I could summarize the very few cons of SAP on my fingers as follows:

- SAP as an ERP is not too user friendly. Requires users to have pre-requisite knowledge to of its complete functionality and technical T-codes even for basic functionality.

- SAP is not open to interaction with other common business open source software’s and MS office

- It is an expensive an organization will have to apply a dedicated IT team to properly implement and continuously monitor it from infrastructures, training, peoples and support

- Would log users out of the system if kept idle for a few minutes. Sometimes it gets irritating

- Requires technical intervention, needs continuous human and financial costs to keep it running which in turn give the benefit of a robust ERP Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering SAP ECC:

Out and out I feel it is a great ERP and would recommend it to every company planning to migrate or implement a new one. Its the best ERP with all the modalities to plan, execute, record, manage and followup. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is SAP ECC solving and how is that benefiting you?

I personally have used it till date to create projects, create purchase orders, issue payments to our vendors, manage freight ledgers accounting and logistics costs, and for apply payments from our customers. My project team measures project completion creates financial reports and issues invoices to our customers. We integrate it with Concur to send out and receive in file which makes our life super easy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about SAP ECC?

It's an excellent software to manahe all your company's ERP need. However, i really like the feature of financial reconciliation through SAP ECC which is extremely good Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SAP ECC?

Reporting is a bit challenge. However, with SAP S/4 Hana, SAP, has addressed it. However we are yet to upgrade. I wish SAP would have given more inbuild reporting feature in SAP ECC. This has more of manual efforts now of you need another peripheral application to do the same. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is SAP ECC solving and how is that benefiting you?

SAP ECC is one of the best in class ERP tool which helps us to consolidate all our enterprise resource planning needs under one single umbrealla. We are currently using it for Accounts, budgeting, finance reconcilation, Service delivery, Quality Management and it's helps the organisation to plan and forecast better, fasster and manage it's Risk on time.
