What do you like best about Ruddr?

Ruddr offers the option to either enter the number of utilised hours or set a timer to calcuate time spent on a task, you can see allocated projects, roles and time expected to a project task. it offers detailed reports of captured time that can be exported to CSV, Excel and PDF. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Ruddr?

I have had no issues so far, but a feature to integrate to platforms like devops to capture tasks and time set for it to calculate estimated project time, or automatically start the ruddr timer when that task is changed from new to active until closed would be helpful Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Ruddr?

Ruddr has made it easier for me and my colleagues to submit our time sheets, I quite like the fact that you can copy the previous weeks time entries. Its easy to navigate and understand, it intergrates well with our projects and everyday tasks. The UI is easy to follow and its very user centric. We had an issue a couple months back and the customer support was effecient and assisted us in a timely manner thus enabling us to be able to carry on with our daily tasks. What do you dislike about Ruddr?

I haven't really come up with any issues so far whenever I user Ruddr, it is such an improvement from the previous software we used. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Ruddr?

First, Ruddr was the ONLY time tracking tool that we looked at that perfectly met our needs, and I'm not just saying that. We are a professional services organization that bills resources on T&M hourly basis for both contractors and full time employees. We had trouble finding a product that accomplished the dynamic engagements we found ourselves in, but also that provided a platform that was simple and easy to navigate by our consultants + our administrative staff, who use Ruddr now daily, to see the current progress week-by-week, semi-monthly, or even monthly for each of our projects. The most important part is that all of the products we reviewed would have racked us over the coals with per person pricing. Because Ruddr's product is so good, I would be willing to pay more for the product (please don't charge me more too soon), but for an initial plan + onboarding implementation support (that was fantastic, thank you Jason), the cost was extremely reasonable and we're ecstastic we made this choice. For reference, we were operating off google sheets before. No longer. Also, the tool easily integrates with Quickbooks, where we do our billing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Ruddr?

I dislike that the company doesn't have even more functionality outside of time tracking. If they have built a product this good, then I hope we can bring even more of our daily HR/Finance tasks internally with Ruddr, but the fact they are hyper focused on this particular area is why they have knocked it out of the park. Hope to see more in the future, but extremely happy with what we have! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

We greatly appreciate your review Austin! We are 100% in alignment with you that Ruddr can and should do more for our customers over time. We have plans for some really impactful new features over the months and years ahead!

What do you like best about Ruddr?

I love how full featured the product is while also maintaining a simple and intuitive interface. I'm able to be very flexible about how projects are created. For example, creating a project as time & material, flat-fee, or even monthly flat-fee with an hours budget are all possible. While the team is small, I expect Ruddr to scale with the business. Their customer service has always been very responsive and easy to reach. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Ruddr?

There are two things that Ruddr could improve.

1. Integrations. There just aren't very many integrations available. For us, Quickbooks is the most important, but if we ever wanted to move from QB to a different accounting solution, it would be difficult due to the lack of other integrations. This is just an observation. For us, it's not even an annoyance at the moment.

2. Reselling products. It is possible to resell products (very common as a vCISO), but it is a bit wonky. We do it by creating new projects dedicated to the product being sold to the customer. It would be useful if this was a standalone feature with screens and reports specific to reselling. This is a feature that we measurably improve our workflow. Response from Rob Patten of Ruddr

Hi Eric and thank you for this review! On the integrations topic, we are definitely going to be adding many more integrations moving forward. In addition to the QBO integration we have an accounting integration with Xero and will be adding Netsuite and Sage Intacct as well. Plenty of other integrations will be added in the future as well. Regarding product reselling, currently we do have the ability to invoice those via our "Other Items to Bill" ledger on the Accounting tab of the Edit Project drawer. We will look to expand that functionality over time though!

What do you like best about Ruddr?

We are a tiny tiny little company... two people working part time. The fact that this enterprise class tool is available to us (for free, for now), is shocking. Especially in this world where you can't even have a glass of water on a plane without a fee. Ruddr does everything one would expect in the realm of time tracking, and can even invoice. We use Quickbooks for our accounting, and there's a bit of manual work to migrate the hours from Ruddr into Quickbooks - probably because I haven't figured out the integration quite yet - but it's NOTHING compared to the massive pain in the rubber parts it could be.

Of note, the reporting is tight. Very very clean and detailed. Pretty much everything you'd need to track and report for clients.

Also, how often do you get a product where, if you have a question, you can just chat with a developer in real time? The support is outstanding.

I'm sure one day these guys will sell this product for a gazillion dollars, and they'll deserve to. I hope they buy a nice boat with the proceeds and never have to work again. Until then, I'm very very happy to have Ruddr. Thanks so much. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Ruddr?

The UI is very responsive, looks minimal, and is feature rich as well. Shortcuts like "copy last week's row" etc makes work much easier we been using it as our daily tracker for an year and it's been amazing Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Ruddr?

The Ui Should offer some theming options Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Ruddr?

I love the look and feel of the app. The thinking behind the functionality is very thorough... AND they have a roadmap of new functionality coming thick and fast which is really going to make Ruddr a game-changer. The support we have received through the trial, purchase, and onboarding has been second to none. They have gone way beyond expectations. In our situation, we migrated from another system... so Ruddr had a lot of work on their hands... but they managed brilliantly. This made implementation a breeze, which is great on top of an app that is already straightforward to use.

Ruddr is always open, always being used, and at the centre of what we do as a consulting firm. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Ruddr?

Ruddr is relatively new on the market and thus has some features that are still in the pipeline - if you need them. So, while using Ruddr, we are watching the new functions roll in every few weeks, which means any current gaps are being filled really quickly Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Rob Patten of Ruddr

Hi Shaun! Thanks for this review!! We will keep working hard to add the features and integrations that our users need. A lot of work ahead and we appreciate your input!

What do you like best about Ruddr?

What I like most about the software is the ease with which you can record your time, manage your projects and see the status of each one. As a user I mainly use it to record the hours worked on projects, this function is excellent and relatively easy to do. Integrating it with the projects is comfortable and simple since you can create them and add functions according to your needs and I like that a lot. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Ruddr?

What I like least about Ruddr is that it is not the most intuitive tool that exists and the fact that I can't access it on my mobile phone because it doesn't have a responsive design that allows me to do so. Some things are “hidden” in the menu and in sections where I would not expect these functions to be. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Rob Patten of Ruddr

Thank you for your feedback! We are going to be improving our mobile apps and adding new functionality. Then, we will look at ways to make our web app more responsive as well. We can definitely make improvements there!

What do you like best about Ruddr?

The system is intuitive and easy to use. Lots of flexibility as well as extensive reporting options.

We've had fantastic support and guidance in onboarding and beginnning our Ruddr journey from the Ruddr team. Looking forward to the new functionality on the roadmap which will further enhance a great offering. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Ruddr?

At this stage I am missing the ability to customise reports. There is a workaround via Excel but look forward to being able to develop custom reports in Ruddr Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Rob Patten of Ruddr

Thanks for this review, Myles! We definitely plan to add both custom fields and custom reports in the future. Stay tuned!
