I like how multiple people can work on a document, but the whole thing sounds cohesive because we are drawing from a common source. It makes production much more streamlined. Previous production processes were the dreaded cut and paste from prior reports, which introduced a lot of errors. As someone new to the organization, I did not have the deep product knowledge needed to know where content resided. RocketDocs put everything in one place, so that I didn't have to know our proposal history. RocketDocs also helps us to have more confidence in the content, and easily identify outdated content.
Uploading legacy proposals and mining the content is a relatively painless process, which is nice. It's allowed us to leverage prior content more effectively.
Of course, the ability to enter codes for information like client name, state, etc., is wonderful. It virtually eliminates the possibility of having a previous client or product name sneak in accidentally. The codes are easy to set up and maintain. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I'm hopeful that the new release will address many issues. I dislike how some crucial functions of Word were disabled or made unavailable in the previous versions, like simply seeing the page and word counts at the bottom of the screen. Also, the entire File menu was unavailable, so it was impossible to access advanced display and proofing options.
Sometimes when I am inserting content, I see something that needs to be changed. It would be nice to have the option to change and save the content right there, rather than open a different screen to edit and save the content. Again, this may be something addressed in the new version.
I would love to see a more robust help community or help resources. It would also be nice to have more flexibility to customize content attributes. Many of them we don't use and it would be great to repurpose those as a text box, or check box, without the program limiting what we can do.
The proposal assembly process is unclear. I think it would be helpful, but it could be more intuitive to use. Version control of content could be easier. Again, I'm hopeful that this will be addressed in the new version. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What we find most helpful about RocketDocs is the high level of customer service, the ongoing training/education, the ability to store many pieces of documentation in a fully accessible library and the ability for all users to collaborate on RFPs inside one portal. At this time, the inability to attach documents (such as PDF copies of official company documents) as content is problematic, but we have made jpeg images when feasible to replace the PDFs. In some cases, this process is not conducive to our RFP writing as we have to attach documents manually, but we believe that this issue can be addressed in time by RocketDocs. We like the flexibility of the product. Migrating from ResponseFull to 2.0 was a big change for our writers who viewed the platform as a content and file library. The number of project management features, such as Collaboration messages and notifications, have enabled us to implement a gradual change management process to get our team to use the platform more efficiently. We have recently upgraded our Salesforce connector to implement the two-way data feature. This upgrade has greatly improved our project assignment process and has gotten our team working in the platform more fully. Also, I like that your team is continuously improving your platform as well as looking to the future by adding great components such as GenAI. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
You could make the Control Panel more flexible. Our team likes the premise but would like to be able to adjust the columns and the snapshots. They also don't care much for the redundancy of the projects being listed in both the My To Do and My Projects snapshots. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Custom integration with Microsoft Dynamics 365 that allows users to take out the guess work on the proposal/project type based on how the CRM record is entered. Customization of templates and ability to work directly within Microsoft Word while leveraging the tool. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
System is comprehensive and customizeable; as such, the learning curve can be intimidating for new users who are expecting an simple cloud-based user interface (however, these more simple interfaces have shown downsides in my option). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I find that the search and filter function are very easy to use. The batch updating is a great function. I think the search function is easy enough to use, that even someone new to the system would be able to quickly learn how to use the system to answer questionnaires. It could be because I don’t use much of the “administrative” functions, but I find updating some of the background information like answer attributions to be a little cumbersome. It could be that I have not had enough time in the new system. But I found that the older version of PMAPS/RocketDocs was a little simpler to change some of the supplemental information about the answer. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

RocketDocs serves as a comprehensive repository, consolidating our organization's RFP inquiries, responses, and supporting exhibits into a single, streamlined platform. The customer service experience is exceptional, characterized by remarkable responsiveness and attentiveness to every need. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Updating the internal documents can be challenging internally. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It's a very intuitive and easy to use tool. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
At the time when my team have used it, there were not many functions for automating repetative tasks. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

RocketDocs is incredibly helpful for our RFP process. I am able to save all past responses, categorize each question to a certain area of our business, and indicate when each question will need a legal review. Our RocketDocs account representative regularly checks in, so we feel supported with any change in our organizational needs or platform functions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
My primary frustration with RocketDocs is that each question needs to be uploaded manually, one by one. I would prefer to be able to upload an entire word document and then separate each section or question and assign it to its respective area of our business. Additionally, there are often times issues with RocketDocs and our internal computer software when it comes to viewing past responses on my local computer. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It is able to house all of our RFP data and the client servicing has been great. The upload to the newplatform has also been pretty seamless and when we have had issues with the upload, the team was great to reach for help. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Nothing so far -- I am not an everday user but have walked through the new platform usage and found it to be user friendly. I guess the only thing being the attachments of tables or pictures where it needs to be manually inserted. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Really great for collecting and storing responses for submissions for RFPs. The tool does a great job cataloging content and reducing level of effort to submit new RFPs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I wish the tool had broader applicability besides RFP management (we haven't found another great use-cases for it in our organization). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
