I like that there are more features being rolled out such as the AI Note taker. These types of roll outs make the app worth it as we grow as an organization with increasing needs and changes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I dislike that customer support is a long tedious process which sometimes does not yield results despite having to call them. I would prefer to email them a ticket and have a response with an answer within 24 hours. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
ive been using RingEX for about 6 months now and honestly, it's made such a huge difference. The best part is that the AI actually understands and takes notes during meetings, saves me from typing everything while trying to focus on what people are saying! Also love how it cuts out all the noise from our factory floor during calls. Sometimes takes a while to get hold of customer support when you need them. also, occasionally messages come through a bit late, but its not a deal breaker though. And the basic plan is a bit limiting, we had to upgrade to get more people in our video calls, which wasn't mentioned clearly upfront. I've been using RingEX for about 6 months now at our affiliate marketing startup and honestly, i cant imagine going back to our old setup. We switched from basic RingCentral and the difference is huge. The AI stuff actually works! Like, during meetings I can actually focus on talking to clients instead of frantically taking notes,, the AI catches everything important and even picks up on tasks we need to do. Took some of our older team members a while to figure out all the features, especially the AI stuff. Customer service can be pretty slow sometimes, we had an issue with messages not showing up once and it took them 2 days to get back to us which was pretty annoying. Sometimes get weird glitches with notifications not coming through on my phone, but usually fixes itself. It has truly been a terrible experience trying to get out of the contract as business needs have changed. The contract has an auto-renewal feature for an additional two years, so after two years, I was opted in by contract with no notification and stuck. Then, when the contract was over, I canceled half of my lines and was assured this was done. They continue to charge me for these lines and refuse to respond to my requests for review. I am now moving my service to anyone but them. Horrible customer service experience. Please read everything carefully before signing and do not expect your account manager to be able to help you much. You usually get referred to a number to call.

What blew me away about RingEX was how seamlessly it fit into our university's workflow. Coming from my dual perspective as a software engineer and part time IT admin at KL University, I've dealt with my fair share of communication tools, but this one just clicked. I wish there were a few more customization options for admin controls. Sometimes I find myself wanting to tweak specific settings that aren't available yet. The functionality and ease of user interface is what helps RingCentral stand out. We switched from another provider because calls would sometimes lag, and the desktop app and mobile app weren't designed very well. I wish there was a way to manage a SMS text line from a main company number or any main company number. RingEX is the most helpful to have all Administrative access and control though one Planform. Our Porting of phone numbers went very smoothly with little to no issues during cutover day. Testing of the platform was very good and all features did work as expected on Day 1. The training guides were very detailed and showed the exact steps to configure or do the task needed. A few things that I have disliked about RingEX is that the Call Log and SMS log are not detailed enough when trying to track calls. It also would be great to have SMS and Phone call log flow as a lot of times the phone call is forwarded or sent to our RingCX platform but tracking the call and how it flowed is difficult. One final thing is RingEX phone setup for provisioning a new phone works fine but has features of purchasing new phones as you are provisioning a new phone which has been confusing to some of our Admins maintaining the system. It's simply to use. Very intuitive. New employees don't need extensive training on it and most importantly it is flexible. We have employees who are remote, onsite, and hybrid so RingCentral handles all these different scenarios very smoothly and effortlessly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There are no downsides to using RingEX, but we did run into significant challenges getting SMS numbers registered in RingEX so we could use them to communicate with our employees. Apparently this registration process is very stringent based on current U.S. laws and it is handled through a third party company.
