Shift allows me to contain all of my tabs, content, and apps in one convenient location that allows them all to be used at warp speed. If you're looking to increase production, gain access to all sorts of super powers, and want to overcome tab burdens (we all have so many tabs open all the time), look no further. This is the application that will allow you to access all of your email, and drive accounts individually, but also together. What a great piece of software. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I was around when Shift was only $99. I want that back. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I highly recommend Shift as I use it every day, all day! All my main applications (Outlook, Slack, Zoom, Asana, Salesforce, etc.) are in one place. I don't have a million windows open in Safari or Chrome anymore. It is embarrassing the number of times I jump on a Zoom call and have to watch other participants scramble through all their tabs to find the one they are looking for. Every time I share my screen, I get complimented on how organized I am and also get questioned about Shift. It's super easy to set up and add programs to Shift as well; very intuitive. I prefer to use Chrome to open links, as I use Wordpress a good deal and need Shift available for transferring information back and forth between Asana and Outlook. It is frustrating when I try to open links in Outlook or Asana that they keep opening in Shift, even though I have settings updated to open in Chrome. It has been annoying that I have to right-click on the links to open them in the "default browser" every time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I adore Shift it has been a staple in my life for many years now, allowing me to seamlessly manage the multiple businesses I run as well as my life as a mature student. I have been able to support my staff with shift and I have also encouraged many other folks to use it as well. It works well on my Apple computers which not all programs do and it is easy to switch between devices much more easily with some of the newer updates. Customer service has also been very helpful in the past when I needed to reach out to them. I use shift every single day! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I dislike a handful of things about shift but most of them usually get fixed quite quickly. For a while there were some issues were it would shut down without saving your browser pages - but they tend to troubleshoot issues like this very quickly when they are brought to their attention. I have also sent emails to their cusomter support when issues arise and they have done what they can to address them in a timely manner. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I'm constantly working on multiple projects at a time as a web developer and I tend to need to sign into services under multiple accounts. Traditional browsers don't facilitate signing into multiple GoDaddy accounts or Google accounts for clients. Shift allows the creation of multiple accounts and signing into different services inside those accounts which is perfect for me. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Streamlining some features, and a way to manage tabs easier would be nice. I'm a power user and tend to see myself opening more than several hundred tabs at a time. Many times duplicates, a way to manage these easily would be a great convinience. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I have 4 different mail accounts and it has helped me streamline my work and keep me organized the past few years. I use it daily and love that it allows you to work in separate workspaces for each email account. I've always received timely responses when I reach out to customer support. The other good things is that it's pretty easy and straightforward to use and I love that you can integrate different apps. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Honestly, I don't see may downsides. The only one would be that sometimes when I click links, it goes to my external Chrome browser vs. opening within Shift. I think I someimes prefer a separate browser because I get more screen space vs. in Shift, which is smaller. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

For many years, I had to manage up to 10 email accounts for my clients as an agency owner. That meant having so many open tabs in Chrome and google getting all of the access mixed up. I used to use incognito windows just to keep them separated. Now, with Shift, I have all of these accounts in one place, and each one has its own individual login. Saved me 100's of hours of work. I highly recommend if you have to manage more than 2 in-boxes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Sometimes, the app has minor glitches. But it is rare and mainly happened with earlier versions. New versions seem very stable. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Shift saves me so much time everyday. It is so easy to keep an eye on my emails while working through out the day. I love that I can connect my other messaging tools as well. Grabbing something real quick in my Google drive is a breeze! My work day would be very bulky without Shift. I am on my third year as a Shift user. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I don't have a downside to Shift right now. The have worked really hard to work out all the kinks and add the features we all have requested. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Being able to pivot between different email addresses and apps within the same app. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Sometimes the web browser has some issues. However, if I have issues with that, its easy enough to open up another browser. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The tab switching is really easy, so I can be in different accounts across Gmail and Office and keep everything organised. Being able to immediately get into calendars from there is also a big positive. And then having task apps such as ClickUp which we use internally at work and all the other messaging/social apps (LinkedIn/WhatsApp/Slack) all in one place means I use it all day. I do find that some links don't open properly in the Shift browser but there is always the right click option to "open in default browser" which means it's never that much of a problem. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Access to my most frequently used apps in one area. Ease of set up and updates. Always adding new features. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Bit of a memory hog right now; hoping that becomes improved. Still a couple apps missing and there are recurring issues with getting Slack to work properly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
