We switched from Bill.com and there are a few things I love about ramp:
- Ease of use: the UX is incredibly easy to navigate
- Getting the team set up! It was easy to get everyone in, even our accountants
- Customer service is always so helpful, even when there aren't features that are offerred currently, they'll provide work arounds or let you know when that feature is offered.
-I'm able to choose the accounting date when syncing to our accounting software. This is a big one, especially for accrual accounting. It saves so much time.
-Our billing/receipt/all accounting flows just so much easier because it's so much easier to get the context of what the charge was, and if I don't know, the comments or reminders in ramp allow me to follow up with the team. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There are only two things I wish I could change about Ramp:
-I wish you could set the time zone and time for cards with daily limits to reset. Currently it's in UTC which can be tricky when we use it for team onsites since it doesn't coincide with when we're using the cards.
-I wish you could designate someone on the team as a "travel planner" to automatically be able to book travel and manage trips for everyone. Currently, a user can log in and designate someone individually to do this, but it would be helpful to take away this step (especially for C-level users who usually don't have the time to log in and do this). Ramp is extremely user friendly. The whole implementation was done by myself. It easily integrates with our accounting software (Sage Intacct) and provides variety of features for proper record keeping. We were able to replace 3 different providers with Ramp, and now our AP, Employee Expenses Reimbursement and Credit Cards are all in one place. Customer support is always excellent in responding quickly, even though I do not get to contact them often thanks to the very detailed and easy to navigate Help Center. And best of all there is cash back when you use Ramp Card, which adds up so quickly and can be used in variety of ways. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There is honestly not much if anything.. You can control how many notifications you get from Ramp, as it might be a little too much if you are an Admin. And there are a lot features we do not use that perhaps could be hidden from the Menu to have a cleaner look (something I have not explored with Customer Support - maybe it is possible). I love everything about Ramp. Iuse Ramp daily. They are constantly upgrading and making improvements, It is very user friendly. I love that I can export into Quickbooks instead of handkeying everything like I was doing prior to Ramp. I love that I can download a zip file that contains all of the receipts at one time. I love that I can send reminders with just a click. I recommend it to everyone. Some staff were a little hesistant when we impleted Ramp, but now they love it. I struggled when first using it. Doing things like setting work flows and creating differenet reports. The only downside for me is there are individual statements. I have to create them from a master list of charges. Sometimes my exports fail when importing them into QuickBooks, not sure exactly why, but I did talk to a Ramp rep about it and they said it was an issue that they were working on. Ease of use, intuitive, frees up my time as an admin as users are breezing through their transactions real time with minimal assitance from me. We've closed our books 3 days earlier as I am not waiting for users to complete their charges. Really easy to implement and train. In fact I don't even train anymore, just hand out the flyer and users are on it. We use it everyday and it was extremely easy to integrate. Took less than a day. I have not found one yet, and plan to Ramp it up with contracts and bill pay in the future! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Our users love it - they are done once they submit their items. They no longer have to save receipts until the monthly report is due. As the Admin, I love that it integrates and syncs with our accounting software so quickly, it is an immediate benefit for department heads looking at their reporting. I also have set up workflows so that employees only see their relative GL department codes. Our external audit team likes the review processing that happens in the 'background'. The employees' expenses are reviewed and approved by department heads. The initial setup was easy and the online support and call-in support folks are helpful. We are relatively new using RAMP, so I am still learning how to access reporting. Statement reconciliations were a challenge at first, but that process is improving. I would like the time a request for an employee card and the time until it is delivered to be quicker. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Ramp automates the AP process tremendously. It allows users to forward bills from their email inbox to Ramp as well as allowing users to upload the bills directly inside of Ramp. Their AI automation reads the bils and fills out most, if not all, of the information on the bill. This obviously saves a ton of time. It also integrates with your email and can match receipts with credit card transactions automatically. We implemented Ramp somewhat recently and it was very streamlined. I honestly can not think of downsides of using Ramp. The company I work for did not have any software like this before so the AP process was very manual. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Convenience, easy of use and integration into our ecosystem of software tools. Integration into our accounting software tools as well which automates our entire accounts payable accounting process. Extremely efficient to use and saves a lot of time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Limited options for business travel and lower net cash benfit rebates versus other cards. Also, less partner benefit promotions. However, right now the time savings is the benefit, plus we use the cash back on our spending to lower our monthly credit card bills. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

We have approximately 20 employees currently and heavy credit card usage. It has been very easy for everyone to get used to using Ramp, both through the app and the website. LOVE the virtual cards as it has already saved us having to cancel physical cards when there has been suspected fraud (which Ramp notified us of immediately). As the admin, I found it fairly easy to set up custom policies that match our company policies, and approval workflows that work for our organization. We are also using the travel piece and expense reimbursements. With employees in Europe and the ability to reimburse them in their currency, it's really nice. I have called support a few times with questions, and they have always been very friendly and helpful. They always follow up with an email which I like as well. I'm in the system daily and love it. Also, using integration with Sage Intacct, and it works beautifully. Saves me a lot of time, and I was able to set it up myself using the clear instructions Ramp posted. The travel portion is lacking some things - only goes through Priceline so that knocks out some airlines (Southwest) and there is no way to book trains (we have employees who take Amtrak from DC to New York fairly regularly). Also can have an employee set up as a delegate for someone else (like an assistant to put their receipts in for them) but would also be nice if the delegate could book travel for their manager. It's been transformative to have our bill pay and corporate card spend in one application. It's easy to set up new cards and not having to logino a separate bill pay application is a true time saver. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It's a bit disconcerting that not all modules signal activity in the same way. Bill Pay does not give the on-screen indicator of a yellow circle with the number of items requiring attention like you get with the Inbox, My Ramp and Accounting modules. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I love how wonderfully simple Ramp has made expense management for us. We do a lot of travel in our work, visiting job sites around the country, and we rack up a lot of expenses and paper receipts which normally would totally get lost and forgotten. But Ramp sends a text and reminders for each time a receipt is required, and being able to submit a photo by text has made it super easy for our team to stay on top of getting them submitted. Plus, these expenses get reported in a daily digest which I look at every day to keep an eye on our rate of spend.
Then, when accounting time rolls around, we use the Quickbooks integration which easily imports our transactions into our books. Since Ramp automatically categorizes expenses with pretty good accuracy, it's very easy for us to set up rules and run a few checks before committing those to our books. We used to use spreadsheets for this, so this is a gamechanger.
We also recently started experimenting with using virtual cards to categorize and compartmentalize spending. This has brought a whole world of customization to our awareness. I can't wait to dive deeper into these settings to modernize our spend workflow, which has basically lumped all our transactions together on physical cards.
I wholehartedly recommend Ramp to any company with more than a few expenses per month. It makes tracking those a breeze, and the added accounting discipline made by possible by Ramp's encouragement is a huge help when tax time comes along. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Ramp has a lot customizability, and sometimes these get lost in menus. There is a search bar which I wish were more prominent and more granular for finding these settings - though it would be amazing if the menus could be fine tuned so that settings could be found organizally.
