What do you dislike about Quickbase?

There are plenty of Quickbase Partners, a thriving user Community and Discord community, Quickbase online resources/documentation, a Quickbase University to teach you everything you need to know and specialist Partner resources for niche development for niche needs that natively Quickbase does not offer. "Powerful Integrations, Needs Pipeline Improvements"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Quickbase?

I really appreciate the powerful relationships in Quickbase. It's much stronger than other local platforms I've tried. The ability to create relationships and use them to look up or summarize values, and then perform calculations, even across multiple tables, is extremely powerful and saves a lot on automation. Quickbase is also very fast and secure. It's very easy to manage and create things, even though some items may be a bit more difficult. Overall, it feels very simple and flexible. I can visualize and build pretty much anything I want, which makes Quickbase incredibly powerful for us. The pipelines, old automations, and new pipelines are vital; without them, we couldn't move data around. I also think the rich text fields and version three tables are extremely important parts that enhance the user experience. Managing and governing the realm is easy to use, and I don't have to be an IT expert. What I like most is that it just works. It works today, it works tomorrow, and it keeps on working. I love it. What do you dislike about Quickbase?

Performance of pipelines is probably the weakest link in Quickbase at the moment. The pipelines seem to have some limitation even though they claim there is no throttling. There is definitely throttling because pipelines just can't handle a lot of volume of work, which is a big drawback. Issues like requests on a pipeline step bombing out easily without a clear reason and maximum size exceeded errors contribute to variability in pipeline performance. Another issue is that the version three tables need all their bugs fixed because it is hampering user experience. Lastly, the forms need more customization and improvement. The way the buttons work at the top and how forms save and load is still clunky, leading to many user experience complaints. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Easy-to-Use Quickbase with Powerful Reporting, Integrations, and Responsive Support"
5/5
What do you like best about Quickbase?

I’m a frequent user of Quickbase and have been using it for the past five years. Overall, it’s very easy to use and manage.

I especially like creating reports based on our requirements. It helps me sort data, set up notifications for our users, and use formula fields effectively. Customer support is also strong; they respond quickly and follow up regularly.

Quickbase also provides a pipeline feature that helps us connect with other platforms and within Quickbase itself.

It is allowing teams to build applications quickly without deep programming knowledge, simple integration, which reduces development time, and implementation is easy overall Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Quickbase?

When we use formula queries, our application becomes slow, and it affects our work progress. Also, sometimes while working on summary reports, we face the same issue. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Camille Shortridge of Quickbase

Hello Sourabh, thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We're happy to hear that you've been enjoying Quickbase and have found value in the use of building out pipelines and in integrations with other applications. Regarding your feedback, we invest significantly in performance regularly to improve speed for all users. Many factors could directly or indirectly contribute to perceived performance issues in your app(s) and are likely unrelated to the platform itself. We ask our users to consider scale and performance when building large or complex apps. You can read more about scaling Quickbase in our Help Center (attached in the link below).

Additionally, resources are available to all of our customers to analyze the performance of their apps, and — for customers on our Enterprise plans -- ways to automatically optimize or uncover insights into improving performance in your apps. If you need additional help, please get in touch with our technical support team for further assistance; we will be happy to take a look at this together.

Thank you again for your review and feedback, and we look forward to hearing from you!

"Quickbase allows very customizable solutions to common work issues."
4/5
What do you like best about Quickbase?

Quickbase allows a lot of flexibility for creating custom Apps for different Use-cases. We've created apps for Tool and Inventory tracking, Marketing, and Project Management to name a few. The fact that there is a Mobile app also helps get the tools into more hands. If you really dig into it, you can customize it to exactly what you need. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Quickbase?

There is a little bit of a learning curve for the deeper development side of things. The positive of being a no-code creation is also a negative in that it's harder to implement programming deeper uses. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"One Searchable Hub: Automated Reports and Easy Org-Wide Adoption"
5/5
What do you like best about Quickbase?

My favorite thing about Quickbase is that I was able to take information that my organization was housing in 4 separate Excel sheets and an outlook Wilo and put it all in one searchable place. Plus, the reports that my direct manager was pulling the data and creating manually, I was able to automate which saved her a lot of time and the information she needs is for senior leadership is now always at her fingertips - and theirs. Once I showed the benefits to the org, it was very easy to get buy in from leadership and was extremely easy to implement across the team and integrate with other departments. It is something that we all use daily. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Quickbase?

There have been no downsides to my department as of yet. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Unmatched Flexibility—Build Whatever You Can Imagine in Quickbase"
5/5
What do you like best about Quickbase?

What I like most about Quickbase is that it really lets your imagination run wild—you can build whatever you’d like. That flexibility is huge in any industry, because it allows your ideas to come to fruition and actually appear on screen. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Quickbase?

Not much at all. I would say, I hope the Builders at Quickbase allow a platform for PAVE to be inserted/leveraged into an existing Quickbase Application. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Highly Configurable Platform for Fast, Governed Enterprise Apps"
5/5
What do you like best about Quickbase?

It is a highly configurable platform that you can build enterprise level applications to meet everyday challenges quickly, with governance, and solid outcomes. The customer support is fantastic too. I have never had a problem that wasn't quickly addressed by customer support. Finally, I really love its connectability to other tools in our organization. Pipelines really have level set things for those of us who were less familiar with making API calls. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Quickbase?

This is both a strength and weakness. Building fast can sometimes mean building sloppy and though great for less complicated use cases, when you skip steps for speed on more complex problems, you end up having to go back and correct. Maybe this is less about Quickbase and more about us end users? Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Versatile, Easy-to-Use, and Well-Supported Software"
5/5
What do you like best about Quickbase?

I appreciate Quickbase for its ease of use, which makes it accessible and efficient for my tasks. I love the availability of training through resources like Quickbase University, as well as the opportunity to attend regular office hours and training sessions, which help me get the most out of the platform. I also value its versatility in application, allowing me to use it for various needs like database management, production tracking, and KPI monitoring. The process of switching to Quickbase was smooth, thanks to a gradual transition, and it was met with lots of positive reactions from my team. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Quickbase?

The new grid reports are nice, but there are some formatting things I wish I had better control of, such as sizing. I would prefer to be able to enter the sizing by sliding the columns over instead of setting the number of pixels. And I would love for the rows to auto size based on the data instead of setting all rows to a specific height. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Developer's Dream Sandbox with Robust Controls"
5/5
What do you like best about Quickbase?

I like that Quickbase is like a giant sandbox. I enjoy the fact that if you can articulate an idea, it can most likely be built or solutioned in Quickbase. There are a lot of controls for the developer, such as code pages, formula fields, restructuring of tables, pipelines, etc.

I also love the people that work at Quickbase and the community. Everyone just wants to help everyone and I love that. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Quickbase?

Tracking where elements of Quickbase are used is lacking. For example, if I want to know where a report is used (perhaps embedded on a form, referenced in a formula query, used within a code page, etc) I can't get a good understanding of this unless I know from memory or do a deep dive.

I look forward to an easy dev, test, and production environment built into Quickbase.

I really want the ability to hide the pencil icon, save icon and other elements on that banner within new forms. I would like to have full control of what my users see from a new form UI perspective without having to manually alter the ifv=1&hs=1 within a button or a code page which totally changes the look and feel of the form and is just a clunky workaround when you bounce around between Iframe and not iframe. There are many occasions where I want to control the flow and use buttons to do certain functions that check certain boxes which start certain workflows. The issue is, in order for that API within the formula rich text field to work effectively I either have to give the user editing permissions (which automatically shows the pencil icon) or hard-code my user token into the button which is visible to everyone on the console.

I really dislike that when I am in new forms and have grid edit enabled on a form I have to be in edit mode to make changes. I would love for this feature to automatically change (if I have editing permissions) when I double click a field (even while just viewing a record).

I really dislike that when I am using new forms and have an embedded report I don't have control as an admin on the form level within the report settings to determine whether or not when the user clicks the eyeball it opens a new tab or stays in the same window. When I don't want to use the new pop-up feature on new forms reports within a form, it defaults to open a new tab and becomes an absolute pain in the donkey.

I also really dislike that the new reports don't auto adjust the row height based on the largest text field. For example, if a record has a field that just has a few words on the notes field, it should be thinner and show everything. If another row has a paragraph of information it should automatically show all and adjust the row height without me needing to also max out the row height of the record that just has a few words in the notes. I believe the older reports did this.

It would also be neat to be able to include dynamic filters on the embedded report.

I have a lot of other ideas, but am late for a class. feel free to reach out Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Super User-Friendly Pipelines That Streamline Work and Automate the Mundane"
5/5
What do you like best about Quickbase?

Quickbase has been super user friendly. I enjoy building the pipelines and utilizing the subscriptions for email notifications. i've built about 6 pipelines and it's really helped to streamline our processes by automating the boring, mundane jobs. Using the subscriptions has helped to reduce contact time from reps to customers which increases our ability to touch more customers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Quickbase?

Hmmm... well for my purposes, one thing that does drive me crazy is the auto expand sidebar. So, if I am trying to copy an address or something out of a customer profile I have to be so careful not to let the mouse get too far to the left as it will immediately ruin the copy process and just open the sidebar. Very annoying. Please make this a toggle option where I can turn that off. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
