Top Rated PSP Enterprises Alternatives
PSP has done outstanding win/loss consulting for us this year. We compete in a very fast-growing and fragmented industry where we had trouble getting details on the true capabilities of our many competitors. We wanted to know what we could do to improve our win rate in sales, inform our brand/marketing message planning, as well as our product management and strategic acquisitions teams. PSP did blind/anonymous interviews for us and provided executive analysis to our VPs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The level of detail provided to our organization in the interviews is very useful. Each interview provides multiple pages worth of details on the factors that influenced either or win or loss decision, and provides us with an understanding of our performance and the performance of our competitors. During the interviews, PSP dives deep into the factors that influenced the buyer's decision and we really value the deep insights we are able to collect from these interviews. Ken is also very personable and has a gift in getting people to really candidly discuss their decisions with him. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I cannot think of anything that I dislike about the vendor. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I’ve partnered with PSP at several companies, and most recently hired them for a study that went beyond their standard win/loss program and added custom persona research to help us understand who buys, why they buy, and how they buy. Although I anticipated high-quality work based on my previous experience, I was blown away by the thoroughness of the interviews and analysis notes from the research. We didn't just get a summary analysis. Each interview came with extensive notes and transcripts that allowed us to go deep and really understand the perspectives of each customer’s approach to the purchase as well as the detailed reasons for the win or loss.
The personal service we received from PSP is outstanding. I appreciated that PSP spent time sharing the results with us in a small forum, and then offered to have as many briefings as needed to share insights with other stakeholders in the company.
We got real expert analysis. My fear with some of these services is that we will get sold by an expert and then the work will be handed to some junior associate who spends very little time on our account and doesn't really go deep. That's not at all what we got with PSP. Ken is an expert researcher who knows our technology and buyers well, and he spent tons of time on us, and he treated us like we were his only client. That kind of depth and expertise is exactly what we wanted. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It’s hard to find faults with this service. PSP came up to speed on our space on their own, wrote a custom interview guide which required little if any additional input from us, and did all the outreach for us. All of our interviews were blind, so we did not need to even introduce the customers. PSP sent us transcripts steadily as they worked through the contact list and got all the interviews done despite a somewhat limited number of contacts to work with. We’ve used PSP since 2020, and over that time PSP has transformed our approach to market intelligence with blind and anonymous interviews, sales training and market intelligence analysis that has won the trust of our sales people and our executives. Their balanced interview techniques delve into customer issues thoroughly, exploring unmentioned areas without leading, and providing clarity on individual deals as well as broader market trends. This approach ensures strategic prioritization based on real business impact.
PSP’s consultants know our space and the complicated history of legacy products that our customers use. This depth is obvious to the person being interviewed, so they quickly start to talk “inside baseball” about what motivated their evaluation and move quickly from generalities to the specific issues that drove the business.
PSP’s technical depth also makes them very adaptable to our changing needs. We’ve used PSP to help us launch several new strategic initiatives, and they did it with minimal briefings from us because they understood the market and technology well enough that all we had to do was explain our strategy and they could create a new interview guide and start interviewing our new customers immediately.
Last but not least, PSP works really hard to make our program successful. Executing win/loss requires a lot of disciplined operational focus, and PSP’s program management and CRM integration help us keep the program moving efficiently. Especially when we are executing new product launches, there are never enough customers to interview. They help us review our candidate deal list to identify potential interview candidates. PSP treats every contact like gold, and creatively finds ways to interview people who at first seem unreachable. They consistently achieve surprisingly high response rates. Honestly, there really is nothing to dislike. I am always excited to open an email from PSP to read a new interview because I know, win or lose, that I am going to learn something important. Since 2010, I have worked for three companies that have used PSP and seen hundreds of their interviews and dozens of executive reports. They have been extraordinarily consistent. They nailed their basic methodology from the start and continually built on that with new ideas for analysis and insights they can provide. It’s been a pleasure to work with PSP and to evolve with them over that time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
We get honest customer feedback from PSP’s anonymous interviews. The reports show us many kinds of invisible realities that we didn’t know about our competitors and how customers think about them and us. The interviewer understands our product technology and strategy and how we sell to customers, so he gets us insight into all aspects. The interviews are extremely fine-grained and thorough but also come with concise summaries with intelligent recommendations we can use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I have no complaints. They are very easy to work with and always professional. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
PSP has worked with us over the last year to do win/loss analysis on deals in the US, Europe, and Asia. Our technology is very specialized, but PSP had no trouble coming up to speed on our space and customizing the interviews and process to fit what we needed in different areas. The interviews and analysis are very detailed and give us the specifics at both the technical and commercial levels that we need for both sales training and product strategy planning. They are extremely diligent in their outreach, which has been particularly useful for getting valuable feedback from lost opportunities. Their anonymized interviews are especially compelling because we get candid feedback that we would not get if we asked it ourselves. We are extremely happy with their work. We haven’t had any issues. We meet with PSP weekly, and they review with us each interview as they’re completed. We don’t have a lot of deals to work with in some new areas for us, so each and every one counts. It’s clear that they are working very hard for us to get every interview possible. PSP offers a personal and tailored approach to win/loss analysis. The post engagement data and analysis was informative in addressing our needs. We knew exactly where to adjust our process, strategy and train our sales and marketing teams to make a difference. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
We've had an amazing experience with PSP and have nothing but good to say about their process, and the results that were provided to us. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
PSP's interview notes and transcripts were super-detailed! Our PSP contact worked with us to refine the questions to maximize the value of the interviews and made it a point to understand our technology to ensure that he could dig deeper into the discussions. Our buyers are quite specialized, so it was important for our PSP contact to connect with them; he reached a point where he could anticipate the questions we would have asked the interviewees without us telling him. I've run several market research initiatives in the past, and I have to say PSP did a great job helping us conduct this one. They were easy to work with and did a great job providing us the material we needed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
While previously working at a mid-market enterprise software company I used PSP to study the key win/loss factors for a FinTech product (automated trading software, specifically) being sold into highly competitive mature and growth markets worldwide. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The most helpful outcome at the time was the quantitative analysis for both winning and losing factors, above and beyond the qualitative description of the buyer interviews. Sourcing the data from anonymous 3rd party interviews of both wins and losses within the potential customer base gave us an unbiased view of the truth that wasn't possible internally. But the bigger problem we needed to solve was the ability to apply that truth to the distinct reasons we won and lost deals, for instance by feeding those results into the marketing messaging and sales enablement collateral. We use PSP to do win/loss interviewing and competitive consulting. They interview our customers and find out what we did right and wrong and what we can learn from the competition for next time. Compared to the post-mortems we had done ourselves before using PSP, what we are learning is night and day. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
First and foremost, PSP is a fantastic business partner. They’re easy to work with, sharp as hell and always available and eager to help us apply what they’ve found out in our sales training as well as marketing and product planning.
The quality of interviews is impressive. They ask the executives we sell to for 30-40 minutes of time but usually get a full hour, and use that time intelligently to cover all the bases and drill down into the issues which really made a difference to the customer. It’s all unscripted and shows that PSP did their homework to study our product and industry, which is pretty specialized. The transcripts are detailed and very specific about how we can improve our selling as well as our product.
PSP’s analysis and executive recommendations are also excellent. Every point they raise is a specific issue with smart suggestions, many unexpected, about what we can do. There are no generalities or arm-waving. They showed us what’s statistically significant and what’s not, and backed up every point with multiple customer quotes.
I also want to highlight PSP’s interview batting average. I used another agency to do win/loss at another company, and it was like pulling teeth to get customers to agree to interviews and we had to do a lot of the work. With PSP, I give them a list of contacts and they do the rest, getting interviews with around 1/3-1/2 of the contacts I give them. And that’s with blind interviews where the customer doesn’t know who is paying for the research. The other agency had us introduce them and they still struggled to get the interviews done, which was extremely frustrating. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
As a leading mid size enterprise software company, we hired PSP Enterprises at first to do a blind and anonymous win/loss study of 16 interviews for one product line. The results were well received so we extended the contract for that product line and over time added three more product lines to the program. We also sponsored interviews for our ISV partners to help them improve their competitiveness, which in turn, helped us win more deals. In all, PSP did over 200 interviews for us while I was on the CI team. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The win/loss program was a big hit with our global sales organization. Salespeople were very eager to see what customers said in interviews of their own customers and they liked to compare their experience and get ideas from reading interviews of other rep’s deals. We made battlecards and sales training based on what we learned and because the salespeople knew where the information came from, they trusted and used them. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
