I appreciate Kemp LoadMaster for its ease of implementation, robust yet easy to use features, seamless integration and affordable price point. I primarily use it for application delivery in an on-prem environment, where I have a high-availability setup to ensure reliability and minimize downtime. Their tech support is some of the best I have ever interacted with across all major technology vendors. My main focus is on load balancing for custom web applications. Kemp LoadMaster’s straightforward configuration and strong performance make it an ideal choice for efficiently distributing traffic while keeping management simple and cost-effective. Within the user interface there are some items who's functions are not clearly explained within the mouse over/tool tips. Needing to find supporting documentation or contact support for simple questions can be cumbersome. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I really like how easy Kemp is to use. This is a very user friendly tool and the dashboards are very easy to read and understand. I also like Kemp's support. We have had to call into support a few times and each time we got up and running with little to no issues as Kemp does a very good job getting you the help you need right away. I do like Kemp's brand recognition as you aren't using some fly-by-night product. Kemp does do a robust job keeping track of how our environment is performing and helps our team allocate more resources to areas where they are needed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Kemp isn't that good at working with other software tools you have in place, even if they don't compete with Kemp. This product does function siloed from other tools and platforms you are using so it does take a decent amount of human intervention to make sure this is working and updating with the rest of your environment. I also didn't like the pricetag that comes with Kemp. This is very expensive when you look at what you are getting, this can easily put you over your planned budget compared to other stuff that is out there.. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I have been in a organization that has used Kemp for almost 10 years, I can say it is top notch and will remain for many years to come we use it as a Reverse proxy, WAF and Load Balancer. If I have a problem I pick up the phone and support is always helpful, is the best vendor I deal with by far. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It has has a few CVEs in the last year or so, progress however usually sends a update to customers before the CVE is public which is nice. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
We implemented our LoadMasters years ago to support a new software we are adding to the organizaiton. We had ordered two expensive hardware loadbalancers and had them sitting in a recieving dock when a contractor and Kemp enthusiast said "hardware loadbalancers thats crazy just use Kemps". We looked into them and we fell in love. They are easy setup, easy to use, powerful, and stable. They have become a backbone of our organizaiton supporing numerous sevices both internal and external. Best of all the support is great, anytime we have problems we contact Kemp support and they help us right away. This is a great poducsts and we highly recommend it. The support at Kemp is wonderful and easy to work with. Their constuling services as well are great. I cannot think of a time when I have had an unplanned outage with our loadmaster. It also has a lot of Flexablbilty to do many tasks. It is used every day by our staff for external and internal load balanaing and remote access. I was easy to install and upgrade. It also has many ways to intergrate with many applications. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Not much I dislike but with having so many features it sometimes is hard to configure. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Kemp LoadMaster I love because it has a capacity and diversity of topics it covers, from the very simple and straightforward way of integrating, to the ease it has for doing things and its clear documentation, it is one of the best load balancers I have used in my work experience. suddenly it has bugs that if I modify something while I have a workload, the web service fails and I have to restart it for it to work. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Default configurations can at times be confusing until you get an understanding of how and why. I also wish you could change or disable the default username that ships with the product. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I've used Kemp Loadmaster in both physical HA and virtual HA pairing versions, over 4 different implementations over the last decade. Loadmaster proved to be a well-featured product for a fraction of the price of competitor products. We currently use it to publish ~60 sites or services. Kemp customer support has always been excellent in terms of response time and resolution. One one occasion, I also employed their professional services who were also knowledgeable and helped us reach our objectives. Online documentation is good. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The interface is a little dated but serves its purpose. For some new users, the learning curve can be a bit steep to get used to the terminology and way things work, but I've solved that by using examples for them to copy when configuring new stuff. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The loadmaster software has been crucial for us. Kemp's LoadMaster VM is the right size for our organization in both size and cost. Everythign about this product has been flawless for us in dependability/reliability. We just don't have to worry about it doing what it is designed to do. Very capable well beyond what our needs are. It was very easy to deploy inside of our VMware environment and integrated with our processes seamlessly. If we've ever had to contact support, they have been very helpful and give clear instructions for configuration or troubleshooting what we might have missconfigured. It isn't free? That isn't a real dislike. It is hard to think of anything and I honestly can't come up with anything we've not liked about it since going with the Kemp LoadMaster. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
