## About Prismic
Prismic is the agentic web platform where teams and AI agents turn strategy into quality on-brand pages, from a single campaign to a whole website. Its agents run specialized ABM, SEO, and GEO playbooks, producing hundreds of distinct pages from one starting point, each true to the brand, built to get found in AI search and convert, and the team's to own and edit. Marketers can start with landing pages, and developers can bring a whole site over with their AI coding tools, all on one headless foundation the team owns. It's made for digital businesses where pages drive revenue and pipeline, and marketing can never ship them fast enough.

**Reviewed Date:** January 22, 2025

**What do you like best about Prismic?**

It is easy to use from a business perspective

**What do you dislike about Prismic?**

More flexibility in some cases where you need mor personalization

**What problems is Prismic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

CMS for our public website: landings, blog, etc.

 ### 2. Great platform, some room for improvement

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alex H. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 22, 2024

**What do you like best about Prismic?**

It's free to get started, and even when you have more users the plans are pretty cheap. It's always quick in production and provides a really flexible and powerful solution to manage all of our content.

**What do you dislike about Prismic?**

Organisation of documents is a bit tricky, and our repo has turned into a bit of a mess because the lack of file structuring options in the platform. The search feature is not ideal, and finding images and other assets is challenging if they weren't uploaded recently. It would really benefit from structuring documents and files better in the UI.

**What problems is Prismic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have a lot of content in our product, and it's not developers who are writing it. Prismic allows us to host our content separately from our code, giving our content writers the flexibility to edit and write content whenever they want even if developers are busy.

**Official Response from Lidija Kacar:**

> Thank you for your feedback! We understand how important efficient search is, especially in larger projects. We're excited to share that we've recently released improvements to both our page search and media library search. These updates are designed to make it easier to find content and assets, even if they weren’t uploaded recently. We're also looking into ways to further enhance the organization of documents. Your insights help guide our future improvements, and we appreciate your continued feedback!

 ### 3. Simple to use

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 10, 2025

**What do you like best about Prismic?**

For me its the simplicity. Also, adding the seo which makes the life of the developer easy.

**What do you dislike about Prismic?**

I think for the richtextField there are limited things you could do. Perhaps, they might have to enchance it a bit.

**What problems is Prismic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

For websites like blog, small size ecommerce and portfolio projects I would prefer to use prismic. for me it is easy to use and helps me to build quickly.

 ### 4. Perfect easy to use tool.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 23, 2024

**What do you like best about Prismic?**

It's very beginner friendly. I've recently joined into a company and I'm currently in my third week. I feel like I've already almost mastered prismic in its functionalities, even though there are quite many! I use it as a daily, which is also why it being easy is so important to me.

**What do you dislike about Prismic?**

Though it's very useful and beginner-friendly, I would say I'm missing some customization options, for example the button feature has some set-in places you can choose from, but whenever you have an image where u need the button in a specific place, u cannot set it there. This is not the biggest point ever, but I feel like some increased customization would make it perfect.

**What problems is Prismic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Everything can be done from 1 place, from the graphical presentation to SEO. This makes it very easy to use, and also preview the way it will look at the same time.

 ### 5. Sturdy and reliable CMS!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alicia C. | Advisor, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 01, 2024

**What do you like best about Prismic?**

Great value for money. We implemented Prismic at my last startup to power our blog. It worked really well, and we liked the level of customisation we could control in terms of our brand integrity and design.

**What do you dislike about Prismic?**

Sometimes it can feel slightly clunky or wonky, and requires a lot of work arounds in order to do seemingly basic things like embed video links in a blog. But for the price, it's worth it the limited engineering work needed to set up new slices and build things like content filters.

**What problems is Prismic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Prismic is a reliable blog CMS for our company. We're also using it to link to an internal resource center to host content and guidance for our customers from inside the product.

 ### 6. Frustrating at first, but awasome at the end

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Leisure, Travel & Tourism | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 18, 2024

**What do you like best about Prismic?**

The best thing it simplicity, but also the very generous free plan. It's easy to integrate with NextJs and easy to implement. Also it's very for a non-tech person to get it.

**What do you dislike about Prismic?**

The dashboard is slow, and maybe some html fields are missing from the selection, like multiple checkboxes... Also, the rich text is harder to set up.

**What problems is Prismic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

With Prismic I have a cheap and easy way to delegate the small updates to the client. They don't want to pay monthly for me to update their blog or products, so this is in a way like having a wordpress site, but fast :D

 ### 7. Capable and clean content management with great NextJS integration

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Chris M. | CEO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 26, 2024

**What do you like best about Prismic?**

The NextJS Prismic framework makes getting a project off the ground incredibly easy.

**What do you dislike about Prismic?**

It would be great to be able to have conditional logic similar to WordPress's ACF, but the Slice variations go a decent way to covering this.

**What problems is Prismic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Headless CMS with easy NextJS integration

 ### 8. Easy to use

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Paulo Henrique F. | Software Developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 10, 2024

**What do you like best about Prismic?**

Very easy to use and to implement and to integrate at the code.
All the information you need can be found on the website or documentation

**What do you dislike about Prismic?**

It could make formatting the text in the content field easier, but it's nothing that would harm its use.

**What problems is Prismic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Primisc solves code repetition, allowing me to use a single structure to publish different content posts on a blog-type page

 ### 9. Prismic transformed my workflow!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Khaldoon A. | Frontend Developer - Consultant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 30, 2024

**What do you like best about Prismic?**

I am a freelance web developer who's niche is building multi-lingual websites. Before using Prismic, I was relying on a giant json file to mange my loales. Prismic fair pricing and awesome developer experince, I love slice machine, allowed me to build websites faster than ever.

**What do you dislike about Prismic?**

I really wish Slice Machine is framework agnostic.

**What problems is Prismic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am a freelance web developer who's niche is building multi-lingual websites. Before using Prismic, I was relying on a giant json file to mange my loales. Prismic fair pricing and awesome developer experince, I love slice machine, allowed me to build websites faster than ever.

 ### 10. Amazing platform for Developers and Clients

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alejandro T. | Full Stack Developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 20, 2024

**What do you like best about Prismic?**

It is easy to start with a already existing NextJs project, Easy to undesrtand for clients with the pages view, slices are a good match with React Components with a small but to tell in the dislike section.
Also the metadata part works pretty well. Easy to internationalize projects.
I've been now about 3 months since I first used Prismic so there are many things that maybe I can do but I don't know yet

**What do you dislike about Prismic?**

I would like to copy slices with all the data in different pages, not only the structure, imagin a hotel page, maybe you want to show exactly the same rooms booking component in different pages!
I also found difficult to nest slices inside slices, maybe this is possible but not that intuitive.

**What problems is Prismic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Allow clients to modify all the data of a solid strong and fully customizable Nextjs page

**Official Response from Lidija Kacar:**

> Thanks for sharing your feedback! We're excited to let you know that you can now copy and paste slices with all the content across different pages, making it even easier to manage content seamlessly. We’re also continuously exploring the use cases you outlined in your review, and you can follow our updates page to stay informed on our progress. We appreciate your insights!

Creating on-brand web pages quickly for projects.

 ### 13. Prismic.io is great for the developer and super easy for the content manager.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Chad B. | Developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 09, 2024

**What do you like best about Prismic?**

Prismic.io is easy to setup for the developer with good documentation. It has a good pricing schedule and is easy to use for the content managers. The best feature is how seamless it works with local development.

**What do you dislike about Prismic?**

I guess the downside is there is a bit of a learning curve. You have to figure out how to setup and use the content modeling, content creation, content managment, etc. But once you do you are golden.

**What problems is Prismic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The business problem prismic.io solves for me is once I have it setup and hand it off the client it is almost imposible for them to screw up their website.

 ### 14. Prismic is a fantastic CMS that really hits the mark for both developers and marketers.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 08, 2025

**What do you like best about Prismic?**

It’s super flexible and powerful, making it easy to manage content and build custom solutions.

**What do you dislike about Prismic?**

Prismic has dropped support for GatsbyJS.

**What problems is Prismic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

A CMS UI for marketing to use to create content that changes frequently and we don't want to have hardcoded in our company websites.

 ### 15. Missing basic features for a CMS

**Rating:** 1.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Weston H. | Sr. Manager, Web Marketing, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 25, 2024

**What do you like best about Prismic?**

There is very little to like about Prismic given the nubmer of other good options on the market (Sanity, Hygraph, Payload, Butter CMS, Dato CMS, etc.). Here are a few positives though:
- Slice machine has some merit to developer productivity
- Live preview

**What do you dislike about Prismic?**

Prismic is missing some very basic CMS features that make it extremely hard to use at scale. I don't recommend this for a large enterprise website. Here are a few that significanly impact usability and add hrs of overhead time to the editing experience for content publishers.
- Cannot categorize media items. It seems they are working to improve the media experience a bit.
- Document search is pretty much useless when you have a large number of documents (i.e. hundreds of blog posts).
- Rich text editor does not support basic functionality like NESTED LISTS, inline code, blockquotes, subscript and superscript unless you customize the seralizer and even then it is extremely limited. And forget about more complex things like adding custom blocks like a CTA block or stylized links to other content.
- Nested repeating elements are not allowed.

Customer support is also very slow to respond and in our experience has been pretty unhelpful in resolving issues.

**What problems is Prismic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Prismic is a headless CMS that has helped us reduce our infrastructure cost for our corporate website.

**Official Response from Lidija Kacar:**

> Hi Weston,

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We understand that usability is critical, especially for large-scale projects, and we are continuously working to make the Page Builder experience more powerful for people using Prismic.

We’ve recently added tags and filters to our media library to improve asset categorization and released improvements to our page search, making content discovery easier even in larger projects. We also recognize the need for further enhancements, such as more robust rich text editor features and support for nested repeating elements, and these are areas we’re actively exploring.

We’d love to hear more about your experience and how we can continue to improve. Please feel free to reach out to our team with any further suggestions or needs.

 ### 16. We love Prismic

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Javier G. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 02, 2024

**What do you like best about Prismic?**

We've been working with Prismic for years now, since the very early stages of slices and slicemachine. We love their content principles and philosophies, the experience for our development and content editing teams is the best. Structuring / maintaining our content with Prismic gives us many, many possibilities depending on the scale of every single project and client. Usually clients migrate from some older CMS and have a very easy onboarding to start creating their site!

Slices and variations are a gamechanger, as is their new page builder, migration API, and we love and test every new feature as they come!

We've always gotten good responses from their support, mostly through community forums and sometimes through ticket requests.

Overall, a great, easy experience.

**What do you dislike about Prismic?**

The biggest shock at first was their philosophy on not making any content fields required, but since working around that from development, we have never had issues with this. Prismic does has some limitations in terms of how many repeating content blocks you can nest, but there are always workarounds we can use and they are such isolated edge cases that we rarely get.

**What problems is Prismic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Having a very friendly CMS for editors and developers alike, scalability for different applications, and managing several repositories for a single organization. Also, building sites with slices without having to depend on developers on the go. Their localization support is also superb. We don't stress about that and can focus strictly on creating good, valuable content and strategies behind it.

 ### 17. Good but sometimes there is no translation feature and also some time when switch language bug

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** youssef b. | CRM-Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**What do you like best about Prismic?**

**What do you dislike about Prismic?**

that i dont have the option to keep images all the same structure or sizes , everything changes according to how much text and content you have

**What problems is Prismic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

N/A

 ### 18. Very powerful and intuitive tool

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Julien T. | Web Developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 30, 2024

**What do you like best about Prismic?**

The concept of the slices are very intuitive and easy to use, both sides : developer and the client.

**What do you dislike about Prismic?**

Translation prices can be very expensive for a big project.

**What problems is Prismic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Pismic because of next.js implementation. Then the CMS can be very customizable. Client can have a very specific website and we can answer his needs thanks to this tool.

 ### 19. Prismic CMS and Next.js perfect for all types of sites.

**What do you like best about Prismic?**

The easy integration of next.js with prismic makes it easy for the development team to create unique experiences.

In a practical and performative way we can work with the visual and technical aspect for SEO in the best way.

**What do you dislike about Prismic?**

Some technical limitations in querying and extracting data, the beta version today has some bugs and limitations

**What problems is Prismic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

To manage the contents of the site and in a practical way enable customization and scale in the creation of landing pages and blogs.

As well as being a crucial tool for applications and other areas that need all the content.

 ### 20. A flexible and easy-to-use CMS

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Accounting | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 28, 2025

**What do you like best about Prismic?**

Very great freedom in terms of fields, customization for clients, easy to handle

**What do you dislike about Prismic?**

Integration with some less common technologies can be a bit more challenging, but support is always very responsive and available to find a solution.

**What problems is Prismic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The lack of flexibility of certain CMS in terms of page construction. While it can limit the client in the layout.

 ### 21. Great tool for content management and frontend setup

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rafael V. | Software Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 16, 2024

**What do you like best about Prismic?**

The ability to change my pages' content without needing to change the code itself, and how easily the components can be created and reused.

**What do you dislike about Prismic?**

The setup can be tricky at first, but once you do it, it's just a matter of reusing what is already done.

**What problems is Prismic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Setting up and creating components for my nextjs projects

 ### 22. Great tool for web content management

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Abner O. | Senior Product Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 30, 2024

**What do you like best about Prismic?**

I think Prismic is really good at allowing content creators simply input web content that can then be added to a company's website in creative ways by their development team.

I use Prismic to input technical content that is then added to dynamic web pages with different features like sorting and filtering, which is great.

**What do you dislike about Prismic?**

I think there's a few things that can be a bit frustrating, like ordering having to be done via setting a date for a piece of content, with no option for ordering to be done via a sorting system, but it's a small complaint and easy to wrap ones head around.

**What problems is Prismic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I think Prismic is a solid platform that can be trusted, and can be seen as a good partner for a company's web presence, which is important as it's not the type of system you'd want to change often.

 ### 23. Simple and effective.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Design | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 15, 2024

**What do you like best about Prismic?**

Prismic is really simple and perfectly integrated with Next.js.

**What do you dislike about Prismic?**

It doesn't allow conditional settings, especially with repeatable types (min and max).
It doesn't allow nesting repeatable types.

**What problems is Prismic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Prismic makes editing so much easier for clients compared to WordPress, which comes with a lot of baggage.

 ### 24. Effortlessly Fast and User-Friendly

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Bret S. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 04, 2024

**What do you like best about Prismic?**

Prismic made it straightforward to build a page quickly. Its user-friendly interface means less time training non-technical staff, which is a big plus.

**What do you dislike about Prismic?**

Prismic is comprehensive, but it lacks nested list functionalities, which would be beneficial for organizing content more hierarchically. It's a feature that would round out the content management capabilities nicely.

**What problems is Prismic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Prismic is solving the critical business problem of efficient web content management. It drastically reduces the time required to build and update pages, which has sped up our project timelines and allowed us to react quickly to market demands. Its user-friendly interface empowers our non-technical team members to contribute to content updates without extensive training, fostering a collaborative work environment. This has been particularly beneficial in managing resources effectively, as it frees up our technical staff for more complex tasks.

 ### 25. Prismic is a developer focused cms that makes the whole experience of developing website efficient.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Marcus H. | Front-end developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 26, 2024

**What do you like best about Prismic?**

The slicemachine saves a ton of time when building.

**What do you dislike about Prismic?**

Somtimes it can be cumberson to create repeatable content types easily.

**What problems is Prismic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Its making my life easier when building websites as a developer

 ### 26. Swift way of managing custom content

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**What do you dislike about Prismic?**

-some minor bugs here and there---------

**What problems is Prismic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Prismic is helping our business keep a clean track of our needs and our history of changes we did regarding content managing. Furthermore, we are happy that we can easily learn new-joiners how to use this app.

 ### 27. Versatile CMS

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 09, 2024

**What do you like best about Prismic?**

As a non-technical user, I appreciate how intuitive Prismic is. The interface is clean and easy to navigate and overall it's very easy to create and edit content.

**What do you dislike about Prismic?**

It would be helpful to have more comprehensive analytics features directly in Prismic to track content performance.

**What problems is Prismic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Prismic provides us with a centralized platform for managing all our content, making it easy to create, edit, and publish content without needing technical expertise. This has streamlined our workflow and reduced the time it takes to get content live.

 ### 28. Development made easy by prismic.io

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Abhishek Y. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 22, 2024

**What do you like best about Prismic?**

I recently worked on a new project of mine where I created a new portfolio for one of my friend and found prisimic.io to be the helping hand for me, the ui is great , creation, insertion , deletion and modifying things is as simple as it could get , so was game-changing experience for me. Integration was pretty easy as well, implemting things was easy, and as long as I see I would be using prismic alot after this, there was as such no need yet talking about the customer support, so all over 9/10

**What do you dislike about Prismic?**

As such I haven't encountered any specific downsides, so all great!

**What problems is Prismic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

To help create webpages easily and properly organized way

 ### 29. Intuitive and flexible

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 29, 2024

**What do you like best about Prismic?**

Prismic is super intuitive - both on the content editing side, and the front-end / content modelling side. I love the concept of "slices" and having content modelling tightly coupled with the front-end components works really well for us.

It integrates easily - the provided starter templates are a great jumping off point, and the pricing model is quite generous for small projects.

**What do you dislike about Prismic?**

Sometimes having the code / content model so closely related can be a challenge - working with a team it's tricky when local changes get pushed to Prismic, there can be conflicts when other people might also be running the slice machine locally.

**What problems is Prismic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Flexibility in the content model is key - as with most headless CMS platforms, the content itself needs to be flexible enough to be used in various ways. Prismic handles a lot of these challenges better than some other CMS's in that things like repeating groups and re-used components can be part of the content model without needing to be completely separate content types.

 ### 30. Simple and powerful

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Games | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 04, 2024

**What do you like best about Prismic?**

With its simplicity, I can code my projects and have the editors work on the content. They don't need to interact with the code, but they can build unique websites, and I have a modular and stable system that contains all the documentation I need to scale the apps and improve them. it is also super easy to use and integrate. I have been using it on all the projects I can, and I have no issues; implementing it on different frameworks is easy. The customer support is fast and really helpful when you have any questions.

**What do you dislike about Prismic?**

The community lacks tutorials for doing new stuff.

**What problems is Prismic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Creating custom websites faster and keeping the code updated.

 ### 31. great for a lot of applications

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jonathan T. | Manager, Content & SEO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 19, 2024

**What do you like best about Prismic?**

- provides a lot of flexibility, especially for location-specific content
- interface is clean and very intuitive

**What do you dislike about Prismic?**

- for our application I found Prismic to have difficulty scaling to larger projects
- not a fan of the new visual interface within the editor
- not a whole lot of developers to choose from in North America

**What problems is Prismic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

we needed a CMS flexible enough to be able to display dynamic content based on user location as well as parameters set by internal team

 ### 32. Simple to use but does lack some efficiencies

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Leisure, Travel & Tourism | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 03, 2024

**What do you like best about Prismic?**

It's very easy and intuitive to use. There isn't much training required to get started once it's all set up. Generally there aren't that many bugs

**What do you dislike about Prismic?**

It does lack some efficiencies and quality-of-life improvements, and it is fairly limited on how much you can tweak the product as a developer

**What problems is Prismic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

A simple to set up and use CMS, which is ideal for a start-up company

 ### 33. Easy to use

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Anusha M. | Lead - Product marketing, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 28, 2024

**What do you like best about Prismic?**

Easy to use. Everything is templatized and also it has the option to edit it according to our preferences

**What do you dislike about Prismic?**

Nothing yet. Looking forward to the future enhancements

**What problems is Prismic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Easy to edit content content website without the dev's help.

 ### 34. Developer friendly and Easy to add content later.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sachin B. | Quality Analyst, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 01, 2024

**What do you like best about Prismic?**

Prismic.io shines for its flexibility (developers love choice!), ease of use (perfect for content creators!), and rich features (revision history, SEO, A/B testing - all there!).

**What do you dislike about Prismic?**

Prismic.io's cost can climb for larger sites, and its API focus might not suit those new to headless CMS.

**What problems is Prismic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Prismic keeps my content separate from the website code. This lets my developer build freely, while I can easily update content without messing anything up. It's a win-win!

 ### 35. Great CMS for developer & user

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Public Relations and Communications | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 02, 2024

**What do you like best about Prismic?**

I really appreciate the ease of use both as a developer and a classic user. It is easy to setup, manage, upgrade and integrate with any frontend technology.
The slice machine makes it really efficient and allows a wide range of cases to be taken into account and therefore remains highly flexible for customers.

**What do you dislike about Prismic?**

In my opinion, there are two areas for improvement:
- Rework the logic of the slice machine so multiples developers can edit a same repository and not have conflicts removing half the work
- Have the possibility to tag, filter, order content in the media library.

**What problems is Prismic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It allows me to create a quick headless CMS as I want to, with multiples options and without the knowledge of a lot of backend.

**Official Response from Lidija Kacar:**

> Thank you for your input! We're pleased to share that the media library now includes the ability to filter and tag content, making it easier to locate assets quickly. While ordering content isn’t available yet, feedback like yours helps us improve and prioritize upcoming features. You can follow our progress on our updates page!

 ### 36. Very nice and easy to use CMS

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Sports | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 01, 2024

**What do you like best about Prismic?**

Simplicity and the way localhost is extended with a easy building GUI that auto-connects with the online CMS!

**What do you dislike about Prismic?**

Image optimisation is missing. Also would love to have the possibility to store users (auth) too, using Prismic. I like Prismic more then Strapi, but authentication is a big plus for Strapi, what's missing in Prismic.

**What problems is Prismic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Ease of integration and providing a preview for the end user

 ### 37. Satisfied design & dev user since 2016

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tristam G. | Digital Design Lead, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 17, 2024

**What do you like best about Prismic?**

I've been a near-daily user of Prismic since ~2016 for content management on client and internal websites. The ability to build pages from "slices" is a great way of being able to provide a page-builder experience for fully custom components. The flexibility is matched by the speed and ease of implementation through the Slice Machine tool, which integrates into modern development workflows easily. Recently the team has begun to release improvements to the writer experience that look likely to bring that editor experience up to the same level of excellence as the developer experience. All in all a solid option for managing content on static sites.

**What do you dislike about Prismic?**

Content organisation and findability can be a challenge as all entries appear in a single list, there are options for filtering which are helpful but it still presents a challenge for contributors. Updates to the writer/contributor experience have felt slow while the company has been focussed on their (excellent) developer experience, this can make internal advocacy and support for the platform a challenge. There is also no native option for adding validation to fields, while I understand the team's rationale I think the lack of those guard rails is a barrier to adoption by content teams.

**What problems is Prismic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Prismic enables us to open up content management to the wider team of writers and editors, with an intuitive page-builder-like experience, on our static sites.

 ### 38. Support can't resolve simple but critical issues within a week! Unreliable.

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Consulting | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 26, 2024

**What do you like best about Prismic?**

Easy locale implementation, slices, free tier

**What do you dislike about Prismic?**

Support (even on paid plans) is not able to resolve critical issues that affect SEO ranking within a week or so, even if they are simple. They sometimes need days to return and even do changes without communication that can break the site. Cannot recommend for websites that need high reliability.

**What problems is Prismic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Providing a CMS for content

 ### 39. High quality product

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Games | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 17, 2024

**What do you like best about Prismic?**

The product is Quick, nimble and responsive. Changes are reflected on our websites in mere seconds.

**What do you dislike about Prismic?**

Its a bit complicated at first understanding where everything links to one another.

**What problems is Prismic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are trying to improve content and product offerings for Social Casino gaming sites. We are able to update marketing and content related features SOOOO much quicker than before

 ### 40. Prismic is always my go-to

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Derek N. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 23, 2024

**What do you like best about Prismic?**

Prismic certainly isn't perfect, but for any project that needs editable static content, I've never found a better alternative. Slicemachine just makes sense, and is very easy to implement within a NextJS application. Other alternatives don't integrate nearly as well, nor are they fun to work with.

**What do you dislike about Prismic?**

Any time I have to reach for nested relationships in my prismic components, it's a nightmare. For instance, grabbing the author for a blog post requires additional graphql (which is next to impossible to find in the docs) then a whole bunch of other finagling to get types to work in typescript.

**What problems is Prismic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Prismic allows complex applications with static content to be easily edited by client content editors. If integrated correctly, once a project is done I can be hands-off for a long time.

 ### 41. Awesome Headless Service

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alshafaraz Hussain G. | Graduate Programmer, Higher Education, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 21, 2024

**What do you like best about Prismic?**

Ease of implementation. Ease of use. Ease of Integration.

**What do you dislike about Prismic?**

It has a bit of a learning curve. It needs better documentation and a few more practical demo solutions.

**What problems is Prismic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

CMS for websites I build.

 ### 42. An excellent headless CMS but overall lacking some key features to make it really shine.

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Brent M. | Information Architect, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 10, 2024

**What do you like best about Prismic?**

Schema creation, 100x easier than expected, actually enjoyable to use

slice machine is a clever way to handle inserting content blocks

publishing in named releases looks very useful

preview functionality is great

pretty good documentation

Good editor experience while editing a piece of content
excellent free tier limits

**What do you dislike about Prismic?**

No write API

No mobile version of CMS (this wouldn’t be a problem if there was a write API)

Not enough variation with each content block. If you want a block with say, text on the left and an image on the right. And you want a version with it flipped, that’s a whole other slice. For the fairly minimal content needs of my site I guessed I needed like 15 separate slices to handle what was like 6 unique content blocks with a slight variations.

Dashboard experience for managing pages isn’t always great

Creating tags and categories is clunky, if you need to insert a new category for products, you have to add the category before you edit the edit product

Integration with imgix is largely undocumented, or at least not nearly enough. I was having to dig through old forum posts or imgix documentation to figure out what my query strings needed to be

Authentication process does not work on gitpod (not without an annoying amount of manual work every single time)

**What problems is Prismic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Allowed me to design custom schemas, have a somewhat visual ACF-style block-based editor in slices, would integrate with my workflow of publishing to netlify, could handle both content pages, products and really anything.

 ### 43. Better value than the competition

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sebastian H. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 19, 2024

**What do you like best about Prismic?**

I've used several systems across the board from hosted solutions to self hosted ones and everyone has their own faults. But with Prismic I can get the same features as the others, great integrations, ease of use, and all for a great price.

**What do you dislike about Prismic?**

One thing I wish Primisic had more of is ecommerce integration or an ecommerce plan.

**What problems is Prismic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I've used self-hosted solutions primarily up until recently when my server stop responding and I needed to have a product out for testing and feedback. I turned to Prismic because of how many features they have, their pricing, and integration with Nuxt.

 ### 44. I configured Prismic CMS, created custom types and slices, and integrated it using Next.js.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Anandu K. | Associate Software Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 11, 2024

**What do you like best about Prismic?**

Prismic has efficient content delivery and optimal performance, while collaborating with the content team for seamless updates. It is easy to intergrate with the dashboard, and the support is also good.

**What do you dislike about Prismic?**

Prismic's unique content modeling can take time to learn, especially for teams new to headless CMS systems.

**What problems is Prismic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Prismic has efficient content delivery and optimal performance, while collaborating with the content team for seamless updates. This helps the organisation in building a good performance website

 ### 45. My review of using Prismic for website content management.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ivan F. | Ecommerce Executive (Contract), Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 09, 2023

**What do you like best about Prismic?**

The UI is fairly clear and convienent, as well as being very easy to master. The tags feature works well and makes navigation easy. I use Prismic every day in my work, and using it alongside Solidus (the back end for our site) is cohesive. I've never had to reach out to customer support, which is a testament to the software. The ability to go deeper behind the surface is also fantastic, and often used by the developers in our team.

**What do you dislike about Prismic?**

The search bar function is sometimes tempramental and doesn't work as intended, but using tags circumvents this.

**What problems is Prismic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Allows us to house, navigate and organise hundreds (if not thousands) of documents that make up our site. This makes me job significantly easier, as I can directly travel to necessary documents (ie. changing a product page on site) within seconds and making changes is quick and efficient. I don't think I could do my job without this ability to navigate our content.

**Official Response from Lidija Kacar:**

> Thank you for your feedback! We understand how important it is for search functionality to work smoothly. We’ve recently released improvements to our page search, which should enhance content discovery and make it more reliable. While we’re glad that tags have provided a useful workaround, we’re committed to ensuring that search works as intended and continue to work on refining its performance. Your feedback helps us focus on the areas that matter most, so we appreciate you sharing it!

 ### 46. An affordable CMS with a sufficient feature set

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Sports | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 18, 2024

**What do you like best about Prismic?**

- Prismic was among the more affordable CMS options for our company of 10-20 people
- Drafting and publishing documents is straightforward
- The editor has all the necessary markup features
- Has an easy-to-use Ruby gem for our Rails app integration
- Solid documentation

**What do you dislike about Prismic?**

- We found the response payload structure isn't too intuitive
- Slices and related features have a poor UX (though this has improved)
- Lacking good categorization features for documents
- Restrictive seat limit in the free tier

**What problems is Prismic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We needed an affordable, simple CMS for our help documentation, and Prismic is a good option.

 ### 47. PRISMIC is my GoTo platform for any sort of modern web project!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Neelansh V. | Senior Manager - Front-End, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 09, 2024

**What do you like best about Prismic?**

I've been using it for the last 3 years, the simplicity of setting up a project, defining templates, publishing content is very smooth. you can setup a complex backend in no time using Prisimic.
Also the community is helpful in resolving issues.

**What do you dislike about Prismic?**

for this one project I had to use audio files which was fine to upload under media module, but the new UI for editing content doesn't show audio file name, icon or anything. I had to switch back to 'legacy layout' to find relevant audio files in media component.

**What problems is Prismic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have recommended and developed web applications for a number of clients which wanted a simple setup, not to overwhelming when it comes to technicality.

Its free for certain amount of bandwidth which works for alot of my clients + the overall development process is smooth. So its a win-win for me and my clients :)

**Official Response from Lidija Kacar:**

> Hi Neelansh,

Thank you for your feedback! We’re pleased to let you know that we’ve recently added a new option to the media library that allows you to filter by media type. We hope this addition makes it even easier for you to find the right asset quickly.

Thank you for helping us improve Prismic!

 ### 48. Prismic is well designed for a project and provide a variety of tools however it is not null safe

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Amir Mohammad F. | Full Stack Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 26, 2024

**What do you like best about Prismic?**

Can be matched with next js and many other technologies
customer support and community is ok,
I use it for professional blogs or company websites

**What do you dislike about Prismic?**

it is not null safe, slices are in column like styles the layout is fixed

**What problems is Prismic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

it is better and more flexible than traditional cms like Wordpress and you can implement almost everything and a custom back end

 ### 49. Simple yet flexible CMS for both private and public projecs

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Cristi J. | CTO & Co-Founder, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 29, 2023

**What do you like best about Prismic?**

We've used Prismic since 2022 on 3 projects that went into production.
We've mainly used it for public facing websites because we needed a tool that would allow marketing and copywriting people to edit content easily yet have the flexbility of having fully custom components and look and feel to the websites.

Prismic is simple yet very flexible when it comes to content editing. There is a slight learning curve but once you understand it, Prismic brings many benefits to the table!

- Automatic Typescript types for each section
- Flexibility in defining custom sections the way you want it
- Multi language support
- Fast & reliable API
- Accessible pricing
- Real time previews for draft documents
- Love the new live preview for slices

**What do you dislike about Prismic?**

Considering all the benefits it brings and the pricing, you cannot complain really about anything. I would suggest more like small improvements other than things to dislike.

- Would be really nice to have more text formatting options in the editor. At the moment you can't do strikethrough, change text color or align text like it's possible in other editors.
- Would be cool to be able to resize images before uploading
- The prismic dashboard sometimes feel a bit slow. The API is super fast, but loading documents sometimes feels a bit slow and clunky.

**What problems is Prismic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The main problems it solves for us: Create websites and products with amazing UX and UI yet have the flexibility to edit all the content.
We are benefiting from the fact that non technical people can edit content quite easily as well as share draft content internally

 ### 50. A great way to manage content

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in E-Learning | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 10, 2024

**What do you like best about Prismic?**

- With a proper set-up, let's marketing/content teams manage the website contents easily!
- User-friendly interface is a gamechanger, took our team 30 minutes to learn how to use properly!
- Great customer support!

**What do you dislike about Prismic?**

- Lack of A/B testing capabilities without custom setups
- Lack of SEO helpers
- AI features that would automate process and workflow are lacking, would be a massive plus

**What problems is Prismic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are trying to reach independence in terms of marketing/growth team and engineering teams working together seamlessly - Prismic is bringing us a big step closer to that!
