What do you like best about Prelude Detect?

We deployed Prelude Detect in our environment in roughly 5 minutes (Via API) and within 10 minutes of deploying it and running tests, we were diagnosing configuration drift across our security tools and identifying where we needed to focus both our technical and strategic efforts.

There is no other company that can do continuous security testing at scale in production environments, which made purchasing Detect an easy sell to senior leadership. By integrating Detect with our defensive controls, we've been able to create a 'self-healing' effect that continually optimizes our security defenses.

The ability to create custom tests gives us the ability to check how vulnerable we are to new emerging threats, or threats that are specific to our company. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Prelude Detect?

Nothing really. - responsive team, fast integration, valuable feedback. There's little downside.

Granted, people, myself included, will always want more or different tests. Prelude publishes tests with a good cadence and I’ve seen a threat advisory come out with a test to support it within hours, more often a couple of days. There’s even visual studio integration to create our own, but having them publish more tests is always good. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Prelude Detect solving and how is that benefiting you?

Detect gives us assurance that the security tools (SIEM, EDR, UEBA) in our environment are working as expected and continually improving. When the board asks us whether we feel confident that we’re protected against threats we can give a definitive answer, with metrics to validate our response. This also makes it easier to allocate funding and efforts at year end.
