I have used a lot of PPM software wver since my previous organization.
Planview Daptiv beat them all because it allocates offline access tools.
It automates the entire process of project portfolio management. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I regularly use Planview Daptiv and I don't find any offense at all. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It allows me to track time and expenses automatically upon project completion. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Offline mode sometimes misbehave and fail to sych all data. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Direct access to data through Cognos tool. Good dashboards. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Inflexible architecture which is difficult to use and update. No inline editing of data which means having to click into every item and await popups to make any changes. Hard coded request formats which make it difficult to explain to users or change if a mistake is made. Very poor for project review and selection or for benefits tracking, which together represent the primary benefit of PPM. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I enjoy the connection to IBM Cognos; we can do great reporting and data pulls through this connection. The updated PWS UI is also a great improvement over the old one. Our users love the new PWS and can work faster and smarter when updating worksheets/schedules. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
In our experience, the system is extremely buggy and can be slow. This leads to some time lost and lack of system trust across the organization Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
What I find most valuable about the tool is how easy it is to customize. Dynamic applications are easy to create and implement. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The resource management aspects of Changepoint PPM are not user-friendly, especially with a large organization. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Sessions were across the board and not focused on one area over another. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
At times, navigating the conference site could be confusing. I would recommend making it in person next round. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I like the project overview that the software offers, with the different views, it is easy to filter and customize different project data.
Also resource allocation at project level, it is easy to allocate resources in "Resources" app, even more if you do the schedule and the automatically import the resources for the allocation.
Global views for the dynamic applications are also very useful Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
the portoflio overview is a bit limited, and I think this tool could be improved.
Something that I do not like the that it is not possible to allocate resource at task level, just a project level. If the schedule is ready with resource allocation, it should be ideal that then allocation is also at the task level and not project level Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I like that I can see all of my projects in one unified view. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I dislike most things about Changepoint. It requires many clicks, it is not intuitive, it is difficult to get what you want, etc Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What I like best about Daptiv is the Admin and User configurability. By this, I mean the ability for an Administrator to configure global settings while also allowing some user configurability in terms of how data is viewed and used. One of the best aspects of configurability is the Dynamic Applications - being able to create an application for a specific purpose to support one of our processes is huge - we use a couple of Daptiv native apps but have developed 10 others we use on every project. I also love the ability to create Reports that can be used in a user's Dashboard that only presents the Projects they manage. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The least helpful feature of Daptiv is how Programs are managed. It would be incredibly helpful to be able to see how the changes in Child Projects impact the Program to which they belong as well as how those changes impact (or could impact) other Child Projects. Using the native workflow engine it is conceivable that thresholds could be set at the Program level whereby when a Project change causes a change in the Program, or other Child Project, an approval process could be kicked off which would prevent the change in the Child Project until it is approved by the Program Manager (or their designee(s)). Having the ability to enable/ disable approval requirements would also be desirable. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Flexibility is a good word to describe Daptiv PPM. No coding needed, you can tailor the solution to specific business needs and upgrade seamlessly to new Daptiv PPM releases automatically. Dashboards and reports are fully integrated. Capacity planning works very well and the specific that I like is that you can actually pull resource requirements from the schedule. Integration with MS Project can be problematic if you like to use all MS Project functionality that might not be available on Daptiv.
You can create new entry forms (dynamic Apps) but more functionally currently not available could make the product more useful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
