We are still beginning our long journey of implementation of Denticon but my experience so far has been wonderful. I've gotten to meet many subject matter experts across the PDDS organization as well as connect with other DSO's that have implemented the system to learn from. We are coming from a propriety system with our developers in-house so anytime we need something new, we can build it ourselves. That will likely be the biggest learning curve for our staff. While Denticon has a great Feature Request system to log our wants/needs it isn't the same as sending an internal request to our own team. “Prior to converting to Planet DDS, IT was a constant headache and we frequently had to pause operations so we could "restart the server." A phrase over the radio, that all staff came to dread.
