This out of the box MES solution is easy to implement and versatile when configuring. The ideal solution for process control, tool interlock, traceability, data collection / retention and the integration of other devices such as PLC's, torque positioning arms, etc. Not to mention, the programming is very straight forward. My favorite part about Pinpoint MES is that I can call out a torque program in pinpoint and it has the ability to choose the specified program in the torque controller. This allows the capability to torque many different fasteners at different torques and record the data for future reference making it a great tool for controlling the quality of the product. When copying process steps to different products, I would like to be able to drag and drop or than one step at a time. Currently I am only able to drag and drop one step at a time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I can't say there's anything I particularly dislike about PINpoint MES. While no software is perfect, the team behind it actively listens to customer feedback and continuously works on improvements, which is highly commendable. The most helpul aspect of PinPoint is it's ability for complete traceability and the additional features it is capable of ensure manufacturing efficiency. With all of the datapoints provided by PINpoint for every operation, it provides us with a great way to identify key areas of improvement. The customization at each station has been great as well. PINpoint offers a slew out-of-the-box features that enable process engineers to build, configure, and maintain robust process controls and quality management tools, often without reliance on controls engineers or IT support. Its features for electric assembly tools and standard PLC integration methods cover the vast majority of integration needs for many discrete assembly operations. The built-in reports are meaningful and provide outstanding genealogy data for use in process improvement activities and process troubleshooting, while the exposed data cubes and data warehouse features allow integration with custom report building tools. It is an economical alternative to traditional PLC-based equipment integration and error-proofing and incorporates sophisticated product tracking, Andon features and notifications, as well as operator qualification management features.
