Photoshelter enables me to distribute images easily. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Wish we could have permissions activate for specific people after a specific amount of time or on a specific date. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It is a very simple and intuitive product to use. It enables us to save time and to communicate with our key partners in an effective mannger. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Nothing, the tool is very effective as it is/ Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Being able to control visibility and access between different groups of users, grant access to guests and organize content Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There a few structural things that could work better. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Photoshelter makes it simple to share photos and video clips with our clients and partners. Granting access is pretty straightforward and easy enough for those who don't have much DAM experience to understand. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Can be somewhat of a chore to add metadata to clips, and sometimes hard to track down redundant files or actually delete files you don't want hogging space on your service. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Photoshelter is fantastic and categorizing and organization of our large library. Tagging photos and creating collections is super easy and user-friendly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
User management on the admin end is complicated and not very easy to use or navigate without SSO (which costs more). Also, the UI could be improved to be less clunky and more modern. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I love that Photoshelter allows you to choose the size of the asset you are looking to download- This cuts out the timley step of editing photo sizes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I dislike that there is not an intuitive way to download batches of photos- in my experience, I've had to select each image before downloading. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The organization tools of PhotoShelter helps me keep my content where I can find it. Using metadata and keywords, nothing is lost in the shuffle. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The number of editor seats can be challenging to manage when a large team needs unrestricted access to the account and assets. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Being able to create folders and subfolders. We have our folders sorted by department and then subfolders of years and categories of images. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Adding people from outside your organization is a little tedious. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
In recent years Photoshelter has worked very hard to provide integrations that keep workflows at the forefront of the constantly evolving requirement of asset management and storytelling. They provide guidance, support and ideas in equal measure to their clients, whatever their size and most importantly, they care about their business and care about my business. Would like the ability to set permissions at asset level rather than just gallery and workspace level. Allow templates for metadata to be saved. Allow comments in workspaces to be saved. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I like the variety of intake methods and the speeds of uploads. The UI is not without problems, but is responsive. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I dislike the expensive fees associated with adding users to execute what seem like basic features of a DAM. Photoshelter wants each user to have a specific function, but reality is more fluid than that. Figuring out what seat can execute which functions is a pain I'd rather not deal with. Once you have them in, permissioning per gallery is also painful.
The UI is abysmal and outdated. You can't resize the workspaces, right-clicks aren't context sensitive, and the whole thing runs on a clunky script that can't keep up with user interactions.
Sharing photos is difficult because the script-driven UI spits out unreliable URLs. You can't just grab the link you see in your address bar, or quick-copy a url. You have to EMAIL an expiring link.
Want to share a collection with a client with their branding? Be prepared to shell out more cash for a lightly customized portal that's just as wonky as the one running your library. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
