Sharing images with members inside and outside of my team can be cumbersome. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Its usability is top notch. I find it very easy to send pictures to users and non-users in all sorts of formats. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Haven't found much that I dislike at the moment! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

As a communications professional I use PhotoShelter for Brands on a daily basis to organize and access photos. I particularly appreciate the ability to add photos to multiple galleries, to share galleries, and to add keywords to make files easy to locate. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The tool’s pricing makes it inaccessible to smaller organizations that do not have substantial budgets.
One of the aspects that could be improved upon is the sharing options. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The search function is easy and user-friendly. I like that you can search by something as specific as a file name or as broad as a keyword and it will turn up a variety of relevant results Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I wish there was a button for adding photos to the gallery on the main screen for a photo rather than having to go into the actions menu. It makes adding photos a slightly more time-consuming process, and is not necessarily intuitive. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I've been using Photoshelter for over a decade, uploading and sending pictures almost daily. It's reliable and easy to keep track of hundreds of thousands of images. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Internal search isn't always as fast or accurate as I'd like. I know where everything is located based on dates and subject matter, but if I'm trying to do a keyword search, I'd like more options to exclude certain areas of the archive, types of files, etc. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The easy and direct path to get images.
The thumbnails are large and show quickly.
The speed of downloads and uploads.
Users like the keywords so they can click on it and go to other photos with the keywords. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Lightboxes are not as useful as they could be. Users complain that they cannot download an entire lightbox of images that they gathered or send the entire lightbox for download to another person. This has been a long time frustration.
The ability to for an editor to install a set customized size for users to download. We have many users that use images for preset University webpages and they need one specific size. This would enable the users to download and upload into their webpage without resizing.
The reports downloads report could be more helpful. Though I could download the CSV file and tabulate it for my self, it would be helpful if there is a "most downloaded image" per month and "most active user".
Typing in individual keywords is bothersome. We have a set keyword menu that we use in Adobe Bridge. It would be great to upload that richtext file into Photoselter for editors to have a pulldown menu in the keyword to choose from the list without have to type them in the IPTC caption box.
The search engine could be better. It doesn't seem to eliminate images as you increase the search words but includes more. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I have used other DAM systems in the past and, in my experience, none compare to PhotoShelter for ease of use to store, retrieve and share digital assets. Not only did PhotoShelter make it easy for me to manually migrate 60,000 plus, digital assets from my old system over to the new one, but makes it easy to keyword, store, find and share my assets with my team. Photoshelter's intuitive interface along with its keen functionality - Lightboxes for reviewing, commenting and rating images among a group, its Galleries and Collections, and most importantly, the ability to adjust access permissions in moments, makes it a pleasure to use in ways I was unable to with its competitor. With all systems, there never seems to be a perfect solution, but PhotoShelter comes close. I would say there are a few additions that would enhance its performance for me, including: autofill for keywords, keyboard shortcuts, the ability to restrict searches to specific libraries, the ability to maintain a master keyword list, the ability to mass delete keywords across several files, and finally, an auto keywording function. Easy to upload , easy to use & very secure . My client turned me on to this & it has proved to be an extremely valuable tool. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Until you get used to using it can be a little " non user friendly " , it also does seem a little slow. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
How easy it is to filter files. The categories help distinguish. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Can get a little disorganized. Kind of have to create your own method of organization. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
