PhotoShelter allows us to store and share our photos and videos in one place. It's a critical tool for engaging families in our school experience, and the privacy is a bonus. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
One feature I dislike is the limits on the number of seats for admins. With our plan, we can only have two "seats," and we're part of a three-person team. More flexibility around enabling different-sized teams to use the platform would be helpful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

PhotoShelter's layout and user interactivity make it incredibly simple to learn and get to using right away with minimal tutorial. As a first time user, I found it incredibly easy to learn. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The only dislike I can come up with is that the site is not very well promoted. I had never heard of this site before using it, and may yet have if it weren't for my organization leading me to it in the first place. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I do like the bandwidth of the platform to house a variety of digital assets from photos, videos and adobe product assets. It is a better platform than our previous vendor as far as size, capacity and admin user seats. It is really nice having the logos and branded content readily available on the platform for the employees to use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It can be a hassle having everyone need to make a login in order to access the university's photoshelter photos. It's just one more login that people don't want to have to remember/use. We only use this for our internal audience (employees in the system), so we were not too concerned about the branding portal, etc...but our employees do not like logging in. Also, redundant listings in the navigation for "invited galleries" and the main galleries. It should be simplified. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Ease of use, integration with digital assets for users of photoshelter, creators in their own workflow Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Nothing, maybe if your workflow/business isn't large enough to really require it, but it's great at what it does and helps with your flow and management of your digital assets Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Libris is fantastic for organizing photo assets across multiple users, especially if you need to be able to share some photos publicly or semi-publicly. One big plus is that they are great at listening to user feedback and agreeing to build out new capacity. It allows for syncing metadata across multiple photos and easy searches based on metadata. It has really allowed our team to manage our photo assets in a much better way, so we can all find what we need easily, even if we were never apart of the original content gathering. You currently can't search by star rating for your photos, but they assure us that's going to change. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
We love Photoshelter because we can manage and keep everything from brand standards to pieces we have designed in one central location. The ability to create folders and sub-folders for each client makes it easy for our team to search for the item they need or review the whole folder. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The only thing we have trouble with is if you don't know where to look search can be a bit finicky. Also, some download options can be confusing if you don't know what format you need them or if you don't understand each file type. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It's easy to upload and organize photos. Tagging photos for search is seamless. I would recommend because it is a cost effective way to keep your digital assets all in one place and accessible across many platforms. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I don't like the fee structure for allowing people to have administrative roles. I think it should be a one price structure. Especially for a small shop that needs to have multiple people doing different jobs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The ability to search easily and build your catalog the way that makes sense for you/your company makes things so much easier than trying to fit inside someone else's mold. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The price. The cost for storage and what seems like a never-ending set of increases for the same amount of storage is awful. We appreciate Photoshelter adding new services, etc. But charge extra for those that wish to use them rather than passing that cost onto everyone. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I like that I can put my images and videos in folders, put in metadata and organize by galleries. When you have a large volume of files it is very easy to organize Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It's not super intuitive to share with nonphotoshelter users as dropbox is. I think they updated it where you can know grab a link to share a folder or gallery with someone but it is hard to find. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Photoshelter has good digital asset management and makes it easy to share and collaborate with your team or others. Simple and straightforward to use, customizable for your branding as well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Some difficulty mass uploading a large amount of files or folders all at once, drag and drop features could be improved, menus could be improved a bit too for better UX. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
